Berlin (CNSNews.com) – Germany’s Greens party has nominated a candidate for the race to succeed Angela Merkel as chancellor – the first time ever for the left-leaning, environmentally-focused party which could be in a position to overtake the traditional major parties in Europe’s biggest economy.
