Georgian College alumni are a powerhouse when it comes to building the region’s economy.
A just released study shows last year alone, graduates of the College’s Orangeville Campus added more than $10 million to the economy of Dufferin County. In terms of workforce equivalency that’s 140 jobs.
Across the entire region served by Georgian, the contribution to the economy by students and alumni is almost $1.5 billion annually.
The college’s CEO says Georgian students contribute to the local economy while studying and generate longer-lasting impact as alumni – noting many choose to make Orangeville and the surrounding area their home.
