Georgia Trade Leader Named Head of National Association

Mary Waters, deputy commissioner for international trade in
Georgia, has been elected as president of the
State International Development Organizations, or
SIDO, a two-year term ending in 2023. 
The national membership organization brings together state trade and investment programs and agencies, hosting two yearly conferences and offering members a chance to build linkages and share best practices for growing trade at the state level.

Ms. Waters leads the
Georgia Department of Economic Development’s efforts to boost exports by companies based in the state.
