FITCHBURG — The early bird catches the coveted group shot with George Clooney after all.
Kathy Duszak of Worcester and two of her friends, Kim Giorgio of Auburn, and Eileen Morkunas of Paxton, were up early Thursday. By 7:30 a.m., they were at the street in Fitchburg where Clooney, in the role of director, would be in overseeing the filming of "The Tender Bar."
They were in luck. They saw the Academy Award-winning actor. And they hollered his way.
No problem. He strolled over to the three women.
“George came over and acknowledged us and took a picture with all of us,” Duszak said later. “I called out to him and he came over to take a picture. He said, ‘You guys got up early to be here … I’m not allowed to touch you in the picture but if you go right here we’ll get a nice picture.' And we did.”
