Generous readers give most ever to Gift of Warmth

PORTSMOUTH – As the 15th year of the Gift of Warmth program winds down, our generous readers have set a new record for donations in a single year, and we still have contributions to tally,
As of Jan. 12, Seacoast Media Group readers had contributed $68,755, bringing the total funds raised for fuel and heating assistance through the years to approximately $686,000.
"We can't wait to send this year's funds to the community action programs in Rockingham and Strafford counties who do so much to bring comfort to residents in their times of need," said Seacoast Media Group Executive Editor Howard Altschiller. "Once again readers have helped to ensure that no one in our communities gets left out in the cold."
