I can't help it, I can't do a wordless post! This is one of my favorite colorized photographs:
This photograph is from late 1919 or early 1920 - perhaps taken at Christmas 1919 since everyone is dolled up with fancy outfits and furs. The baby has a bonnet and the mother has a hat that blended in with the trees in the background. It could be a baptism, but I don't know if the baby was baptized or not.
My mother, Betty Virginia Carringer (1919-2002) is the baby, with her parents Lyle Lawrence and Emily Kemp (Auble) Carringer, who married in June 1918. The photo must have been taken in San Diego, perhaps their home on Harrison Street, but I don't recognize the building. The Model T Ford is on the left mostly out of the photo.
