Gear library helps people book winter fun

Jenny Sawatzky, an organizer with the Plain Bike Project and Icicle Garden, says the winter gear library was inspired by a trip to Finland in February.
As winter descends on Winnipeg and snow drifts begin to pile, the minds behind the summer’s plain bike rental project have come up with a way to keep the city entertained and outdoors with the Icicle Garden — offering pay-what-you-can ski and snowshoe rentals from their shop on Sherbrook Street.
