We cant put 5000 fighters in the air and hundreds of bombers, as we put four carrier battle groups into a region to up in the mediterranean and one in the persian gulf and probably one in the red sea. But their sortie rates are very limited. Theyve rates are very limited. Theyve got to fly a Long Distance to deliver their bombs, their ordnance, or quite frankly, they risk losing those ships. In risk losing those ships. In other words, the technology has changed the way wars are fighting or being fought. Has changed. We havent kept up with that. Changed. We havent kept up with that. And then finally, the that. And then finally, the president of the United States could end all of this very quickly. He could simply tell mr netanyahu, thats it, no further stop. This is something no one in washington either understands or even if they did, would care to admit what . What is the likely future that you imagine or envision for israel . Theyre populations are better educated and more capable as a result. And to this you must add result. And to this you must add iran enormous air and space power , very sophisticated power, very sophisticated leadership, bureaucratic power in its armed forces. To this, in its armed forces. To this, you must also add turkey. The turks had the largest army in nato, the Largest Armed forces penod. Nato, the Largest Armed forces period. Theyre ferocious period. Theyre ferocious fighters and they are deeply committed to ending the affront to sunni islam. This means were headed for a regional war, and onceitis headed for a regional war, and once it is joined, it will be very difficult for us to stop it. I think the world, at least in the middle east, is waiting for the middle east, is waiting for the president of the United States to step fonnard and say thats enough. We in the west, thats enough. We in the west, we in the United States are deescalating. And then that deescalating. And then that would signal to the israelis that there has to be some sort of arrangement, a new arrangement that addresses these concerns. They dont want to do that. Now, im not saying all israelis dont want to do it. There are probably at least 40 of the israeli electorate that agrees with you and everything you said at the beginning, but theyre not in power. And i would tell you that most americans pay no attention to anything that happens beyond their borders, least of all in their borders, least of all in the middle east. Theyre sitting there saying, oh, well, this is just another east war. Just another middle east war. Lets israelis. Itll lets help the israelis. Itll be over in a few weeks. They dont understand whats changed either, is telling either, and no one is telling them colonel, with me them, colonel, bear with me while i just a response from a guest that i have in the studio with me. Ralph, i find that a very a very believable , a very very believable, a very frightening assessment of a situation. How do you feel listening to the colonel there . Listening to the colonel there . I would maybe just add one wrinkle and i think well find agreement there as well, which course, that which is, of course, that particularly arab particularly for the arab states, israel palestine states, the israel palestine conflict also of domestic conflict is also of domestic interest for them. I mean, generally, i dont think that the government saudi arabia the government in saudi arabia or government egypt or the government in egypt really to war on really wants to go to war on behalf but of course, behalf of hamas. But of course, they as the colonel they know, as the colonel correctly pointed out, that their it their population sees it differently. Try now to differently. So they try now to threat. But remember that there are human lives at the end of it i in amongst all of it and i think in amongst all this narrative, thats the problem. The poison we problem. And cash comes from many sources , as all of those sources are pro war for once again, because theres no appreciation for the dangers involved. I think at the dangers involved. It seems like madness to me. I think its madness, but it goes to my big issue with multicultural ism. Its always its actually the laziest of all ideologies, right . If andrew says, you know, youre a communist and i say, im a fascist, meet it would have fascist, we meet it would have an argument, right . Because these clashing these are really clashing oppositions. Idea oppositions. But the idea of multiculturalism always is multiculturalism was always is basically everything is of equal value, like the core value of multiculturalism is not have multiculturalism is not to have a core so all these a core value. So all these people that came, we never really showed an interest in them, idea was them, right . The idea was whatever doesnt whatever they bring, it doesnt matter. My values, matter. Their values, my values, its and as you its all the same. And as you say, we completely ignored. The United States of america can do anything. We can finance multiple wars at the same time. We can do anything. We are the america of the second world war. Well that america, neil, never really existed anyway. We were always limited in what we could do. In fact, thats why eisenhower made such an excellent president. He understood that we could never fight another war like that again. In our history, weve lost all of that. Theres no fear of consequences as fear of the consequences as a result. Im not very optimistic. Result. Im not very optimistic. I think that we are going to march down this path into hell a hell, frankly, of our own making and one that is unnecessary. They were too busy watching television, too busy enjoying the good life. And they were dismissing problems out of hand. And they listened to the propaganda. Raise propaganda. If you raise questions , well, must be questions, well, you must be a bigot. You dont like bigot. If you dont like something, youre an anti semite. On and on and on. And americans are not any of those things by nature in fact, i think were shamelessly tolerant, i tolerant, something which i blame and blame in part the for, british oh, were too tolerant.
