Mohammadwadi locality residents say they have no way to dispose of sewage properly, authorities take no action
For the past 22 years, residents of Ganesh Nagar in Mohammadwadi have been living close to posh societies and yet struggled to get a drainage line in place. The colony, housing over 200 small, independent houses, has been using a septic tank system to discard used water, posing a serious health risk for residents. To make matters worse, sewage overflows during heavy rains and streams through internal lanes of houses, to which the children are directly exposed during outdoor playing activities.
