“Free Fridays” return
The city’s popular “Free Fridays” concert series — set for online performances during the month of May before a return to in-person shows from June through October — is back! Catch the season's first performance from 8 to 10 p.m. at facebook.com/freefridaysconcertseries. Fan favorite Jake Thistle kicks off the season tonight. When the shows return to their in-person format, attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to Bo Diddley Plaza to enjoy the concert under the stars. Thistle will play hits from Tom Petty, Bruce Springstreen, John Hiatt, Jackson Brown and his own music. Bo Diddley Plaza is at 111 E. University Ave. For more information, including a list of upcoming performances, visit gnvculturalseries.org/free-fridays-concert-series.
