TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â Gadsden County will start giving out Wi-Fi hotspot devices in partnership with Figgers communication on Thursday.
Getting internet access to the people of Gadsden County is the mission of commissioners. But some people are concerned about it the new WiFi program, "Get Connected Gadsden."
The county says this program is to help families especially those with children distance learning get better access to the internet.
The county will purchase up to 25,000 devices and will cover the service for up to 90 days. But people say once the 90 days are up people may not be able to afford it, saying the CARES Act money could be better used for other things.
