Criminal lawyer Andrew Hanlon, of Potts Lawyers, appeared on behalf of Edwards via phone at Moranbah Magistrates Court on April 15.
He explained there was one outstanding item as part of the brief of evidence that had been delayed due to the police officer involved being on extended leave.
Mr Hanlon was seeking at adjournment to progress the matters.
Police prosecutor Sergeant Paul Cramp said he had spoken to the arresting officer and Mr Hanlon could expect the additional materials within the fortnight.
