Does anyone else out there (beyond my universe/man cave) think it is unfair that we donât get to choose the first name we are stuck with for the rest of our life? I get that our last name is set in stone and the world would be hellishly confusing if we all had only first names. Can you imagine 412,000 Chers (One is bad enough.) Can you imagine if we had only one name?â¦

I am not dissing anyone whose first name is Victor, but I never liked the name; it makes me feel like I should be standing on top of a hill with my fist raised in â¦uhâ¦victory. What are the odds that your first name would be the one that you would pick for yourself, given the opportunity? Uh, almost zero, you think? And I would have loved a middle name because it is so cool, classy and mysterious to have initials between what your parents chose to name you â while shaving (Nick) or while being in the bathroom (John) or floating in a pool (Bob) â and the surname everybody/ancestors brought to the table. I would have loved Vic T. Schukov. (T stands for The.)
