Funeral for Toronto Police officer killed in the line of duty

Ontario Premier Doug Ford and Toronto Mayor John Tory are expected to pay tribute to the officer at the funeral and Northrup’s wife is set to deliver the eulogy.
Northrup, a father of three, served the force for 31 and a half years.
“Jeff was hugely liked by his neighbours, community, colleagues and friends,” Toronto Police said in a statement.
“He has been praised for his kindness, energy and enthusiasm for work and life. He was dedicated to his wife and family, and his work as a police officer.”
