Menominee — The Menominee River Chorus recently partnered with the M&M Area Community Foundation to establish an endowed fund for the Bea Ennis Memorial Music Scholarship.
In fall 2001, the Menominee River Chorus started the Bea Ennis Music Scholarship to honor the longtime director and founding member. Poor health made it necessary for Ennis to retire in 2003 and she lost her battle with cancer in January 2006.
The scholarship then became a memorial music scholarship, keeping her memory alive and promoting her love of vocal music. By establishing an endowed fund at the Community Foundation, the chorus will be able to provide scholarships forever.
