TROY, NY - The Valleycats played a lot of if baseball this week, capping it off on Sunday with the rubber game of their five game series against Equipe Quebec.
Having split their double-headers on Friday and Saturday, Tri-City and Quebec were set to finally play a nine-inning game. The winner deciding the series and control of first place in the Atlantic Division.
"I just felt like, what I saw on the field was not okay. The effort was not okay," Valleycats manager Pete Incaviglia said after the loss. "We looked a little lackadaisical and a little tired today, which is unacceptable. That's your job, you don't get to be tired. You still gotta go compete."
