Flowing tresses, billowing cape, oversized hammer: Could that be Thor?
Verily, ‘tis the thunder god, jogging around town and spreading cheer.
“I love making someone’s day, especially during COVID,” he says, in a kinda-British accent like Thor in the Marvel movies. “’Tis most enchanting.”
The Norse do-gooder's alter ego is Chris McGovern, 40, a Peoria biology technician who specializes in corn genetics. He and wife Amy — or, “Milady,” as he fondly says — live in Far North Peoria with their two sons, ages 10 and 7, plus a feline house pet nobly dubbed Sir Cat.
