Rep. Andy Biggs, the chairman of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, is considering a run to represent Arizona in the U.S. Senate.
The congressman said he is "seriously considering" joining the race during an interview with the
Hill published on Monday.
"I'm kicking the tires, we're looking at it, talking to people, seeing what it would look like, talking about how much it would be," Biggs said. The congressman added that he's "trying to gauge how much support I might have."
Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly, who defeated then-Sen. Martha McSally in November during a special election in the state, is up for reelection in 2022.
