AID: Seddons staff delivering meals
VOLUNTEERS from Bolton have stepped up to help a local charity deliver food to needy families during lockdown.
More than 150 volunteer drivers will deliver packed lunch parcels to around 2,000 schoolchildren in the borough who would normally receive a free school meal.
The parcels are being funded by Bolton Council with deliveries being co-ordinated by Bolton charity Urban Outreach with support from ‘The Bolton Family’.
Bolton Council's school catering service is currently providing a range of options for families - and has earned praise for the quality of its packed lunches. The food parcels started being delivered on Monday and will run until the middle of February.
