More people have been arrested on suspicion of drug driving than drink driving in Essex Picture: ARCHANT
A man caught driving with cannabis and ecstasy in his system has been banned from the road for two years.
Lewis Tanner was also driving his Ford Fiesta without a valid MoT certificate when stopped by police in Bridge Street, Ipswich, on June 4.
Subsequent tests found the 27-year-old had been driving with 10 microgrammes of cannabis derivative Delta-9-THC and 12mcg of MDMA in his blood - the respective limits being 2mcg and 10mcg.
On Monday, Tanner admitted two counts of drug-driving and one count of driving without a valid test certificate at Suffolk Magistrates' Court.
