In an effort to help the community, Florida Power & Light is launching the Main Street Recovery Credit Program. This program will offer financial help to small businesses struggling because of the pandemic. It's meant to offer fee waivers, payment extensions, and direct credits to business owners.
However, there are a few boxes you need to check off before you ask for assistance. According to their press release, establishments in FPL’s service area that are eligible to apply for the program include new small businesses, small businesses that were inactive for at least six consecutive months after March 2020, and existing small businesses operating in federally designated Opportunity Zones in FPL’s service area.
