Stores are closed. A lot of velocity, it will bring a lot of hazards, a lot of damage. They conditions are getting worse by the minute. This is already happening. Here it is, it is on the ground. We need to prepare for catastrophic impacts. Neil get ready because it is almost on, Tampa And Fort myers, as florida braces for impact. Hurricane milton becoming category three storm ours away from making landfall. The outer bands are already hitting, dropping from airports and military bases, schools and colleges and Theme Parks are closed as this Monster Moves in. Millions in its path or heading out, they got the warnings. Welcome everybody, im neil cavuto. Category three storm now still dangerous, twice the size of what it was yesterday at this time. Go to Steve Harrigan in tampa with more. Reporter hello neil, it is picking up here right now. To my right, wonder if it will go flying i cannot imagine anybody getting into their car at this point with this wind and rain. We just thought two cars totaled , people still occasionally aimed their vehicles in these conditions for the real problems here is this is the second storm in the area. There is so much debris along streets, hundreds of Cubic Yards of Debris And Wind this Storm Hits a lot of that debris could be lost in the air like missiles or by the Storm Surge as well. When we talk to people here whether they are staying or going you get a sense of the stress people are under and the fears they have about what is ahead, or whether they are on the road. Here is what one man had to say. Im worried for my house right on the waters, the Storm Surge will be pretty bad. Reporter still have electric Power Hermpa but 70,00y without it, weeks ago, 2. 2 people 2. 2 Million people lost power at, likely to exceed that. Neil thank You Big Adam has been watching this way before the Monster Storm it was, eat Monsters Storm he saw by the way. Adam help us with its path now as you see it. We are getting on those final hours before we make landfall, at this point, folks are feeling it across estate of eric this is the largest dormant leading into this show, it is being falls from the West Coast all the way to the East Coast in almost unbelievably Tornado Outbreak here today. Every one of these little boxes as a tornado won a storm, last i countered there were six of them but they have been popping up consistently all day long, a tornado spinning. Tornadoes do happen whenever you see hurricanes like this but this is the most robust outbreak i have ever seen. The Tornado Watch still in place as they are from Orlando All The Way to the south, we will continue to see these Pop Up and some of these bands and those can be dangerous storms. As far as the storm It Paths going here forward, we are now basically just sitting off the coast there of sarasota and that is ultimately where it will be landing. That is not necessarily where the landfall will be, you can see this line here, the storm will be dragging across estate basically south of interstate, the heaviest Rain And Wind on the North Side so it does mean places like orlando to the north will see a ton of rain, was a ton of wind it with this system. This is the size of the storm, tropical Storm Wind it got everything into the orange is harking gastric getting closer and closer by the hour and this evening, some of the most recent guests, 50 miles an hour, consistently into the 20 authorities for this it continues to spread out and impact more folks across estate. Here is how this moves across the country, there is the orange, that is a hurricane gust, the red is your hurricane force wind. Those will be there by this evening, 10 or 11 00 p. M. And work their way across the state by that whole huge area will be dealing with intense wind. The question that remains is it when we will get that Landfall Guy that is when we will see the Storm Surge at its worst. The forecast for now still 12 feet across portions of Tampa Bay on the high end, a little further south, sarasota, as high as 13 feet, taking this further south, Fort Myers, you can see Storm Surge of 12 or 13 feet, that would be devastating. That will take out a ton of these homes and the wind continues to be stronger. They stay strong fairly deep in to the state, sarasota, tampa, venice, driving halfway through the state still expecting wind at a low end of 110 miles per hour. They could be stronger, anything in the right at, 75110 miles per hour, do not be surprised if you see that on the what East Coast. Obvious he without much wind we expected Power Outages to be devastating across that entire area. It is getting very clothes but we still have quite a bit of time and we will see how it plays out. Neil and was hearing reports earlier, that could be good news whatever happens it moves quickly but it is big as you said. And then it is out to the atlantic, its not like helene where it takes a curb up north. Know, Think Elite stays a hurricane across the entire state of which is tough but once it gets out of there we are shooting out to see. Neil thank you very much. Going into the center of the state, orlando, you can understand why this neighborhood is closed, seaworld, universal, all shutting down operations. Believe Disney World, in its 55 Year History in the state of florida, only 12 times it has shutdown whether it is for a limited time or not. You will get the read it right now, what many consider to be potentially Ground ZeroDana Florida KaiserPolice Chief kind enough to join us. Really great to have you, how are things looking there . They are not looking good. Am actually in the Police Department as i am speaking to you, there are two of them of us left, the are shutting the door and walking away. We have spent the last three days evacuating our building, removing 45,000 pieces of evidence, everything important to us in this building, we are leaving it behind and getting to save ground. Neil how many cheap heated Evacuation Warnings . Chief you never know until the morning and at this juncture we will find out and it will be devastating, we will not find people wondering, we will find bodies. It is truly that about. We have done our best to talk people into leaving but if they have chosen to stay behind they are dumb, a full loose decision that will cost them with their lives. Neil and risk that your men and womens lives trying to rescue them. Let me ask you about the reports for people that day to evacuate that ran into problems, a traffic, depending on the area, were Gas Stations were simply running out of fuel, how bad was that, is that You Muck. A turned out for a little bit but i will say we are on the heels of Hurricane Helene inwardly smac is hard in this regions, thousands of homes, my home, 3 feet of water. Considered this storm will bring double that, double that that is my height, 6 feet. Think a lot more people heated that warning because of what she did to as just a week ago, we are hoping and praying at this point that everybodys listening and they got that we are still out there patrolling, we are over there on the streets kind we are available if anybody needs us but in the next two hours it will be no longer safe and we will have to retreat to a safe place for emergency. Neil it wasnt too long ago looking at the cameras showing the efforts, the clean up after helene that is a lot of debris. Im told 1 Million pounds of it. That was a potential problem, you have a lot of it, are you able to get a hold of it . A leader not get all of it but always City Staff and workers and administration, that became the most important job over the last week. Everybody dropped everything to try to get that debris up and thank goodness because that will help us better than some other places. It is not perfect but its the best we could do. Neil another question i have, where our people evacuating You Muck where did they go . Some of these shelters, points in land . Everywhere. Our shoulders are not a full, there is room for more people shelters we have thousands of folks in our shelters, we have opened almost every school in the county per heading north on 75, this area seems to have been at the favorite for folks. On hearing from people that traveled to georgia, North Carolina. They learned a hard lesson and they are getting out of town. Neil be safe yourself chief and your coworkers there, you have done all that you could do. Hopefully everybody will be okay we waged and pray i will tell you that. Daylight comes and our first mission will be to get out there and see what we find. Neil thank you very much. Florida Police Chief, Hopefully Everything he does go well they. It is now category three storm but again it is of a big storm. The u. S. Military doing its best to help those in need, of course we have seen this in North Carolina. We saw we have the Major General patrick joining us righa after thisn. Andoned chicken coop. Where our founder discovered a retired teacher living. No home. No health care. So she said no to this Injustice And Yes to transforming lives. Its this drive, this compassion that inspired aarp. Today, we empower people to choose how they live as they age. As a wise friend and fierce defender, we advocate for better health, financial security, and stronger communities. Aarp. Join us in making a difference. Neil taking you now to orlando, florida, a city that entertains families, the world, all the Entertainment Places and big places like Disney And Ac world and universal, they are all shut down all at the same time. You do not see that very often, all because of this storm coming out of them with 100 mileperhour wind. We talk about some of the dangers, it has prompted over 4000 u. S. Of flight cancelations, between Today And Tomorrow likely many more, also redirected flights in and out of the sunshine state. All major airports have a substantial delay if not outright cancelations. This Wheel System works in our nations transportation system, what happens there reverberates everywhere. As long as everybody is safe. Also what is going on in clearwater beach, florida. Remember this is not way d west but all over the old Tampa Bay area from tampa, this is also one of the areas they are worried that could get hit hard. Again, much of the activity, in the landfall that you hear about into this category three storm it could come a little Bit South of that. How that complicates things, still a massive storm. The more it slows down to the bigger it spreads out. But it is moving at a pretty good pace here, that has some holding whatever damage it does will be quick. Major general Patrick Ryder, with as to talk about the role the militaries playing into this. Pretty much like they did in North Carolina and much to the Southern States including florida back with helene and now was milton, they are there to rescue. General great to have you, thank you. Thank you, good to be here. Neil how are things looking from your vantage point, where our troops going right now and what are they doing . As you highlight, we have been working very closely with fema, federal, local authorities to respond bows to Hurricane Helene and be ready for hurricane milton. We have been having very frequent conversations with federal state, local agencies to discuss what is needed most, we have a prestage significant amount of capability, the national guard importantly has activated over 6000 National Guardsmen in florida with an additional 3000 ready to provide support from other states. Have the u. S. Army corps of engineers prestaged Emergency Power capabilities as well as activeduty forces to support as necessary, whether that is route clearance, search and rescue, or helping deliver important capabilities, commodities like food and water. Neil where do you position your men and women than in general . Obviously this storm is now moving slightly south of where we originally thought, and that could change even within the hours of this day. How do you arrange that . A lot of that is looking at the Storm Models and where it is tracking to. Places like georgia are places in florida that are outside of the most dangerous areas of the past, but of course we can bring in it capabilities from across the country as necessary. But right now u. S. Northern command is looking very closely at all of that, looking closely at the state of florida with fema to make sure again to your points, we are prepositioning things, we are staged to be ready to respond as soon as we are needed to. Neil how many men and women are you talking about . No, it is a costly changing target but will it grow . When you look at the combined efforts in terms of the support we are providing for Hurricane Helene, the support we are prepared to provide for hurricane milton, you are looking at of words of over 10,000 National Guardsmen, you have the 1500 activeduty troops currently in North Carolina assisting with efforts they are pleasantly Army Corps of engineers, several hundred Army Corps of engineers folks ready to go. All hands on Deck Effort to. They will lean forward, we will be ready to help our fellow americans in time of need. Neil this has become very much a military issue. I wonder going forward if our view of hurricanes, lease to talk about their category, three, four or a five, by the storms i dont have any particular noteworthy power, thinking of sandy of course aint New Jersey more than a decade ago, office He Katrina by the time It Hit and left florida as a category one storm by the real danger was the flooding and the surge in all of this. We now kind of have to change how we respond to this, and the military has a very special role in responding to these two storms, has that changed . Its an interesting question. I would say importantly, the military is part of the whole of government efforts, in this particular case, you have fema in the lead from the federal standpoint and that is important, what you do not want to do is be in a Disaster Or Crisis situation where you are suddenly rushing and it capabilities that are not synchronized with the largest whole effort. Then what you do is you create new problems and things can become much more chaotic in a situation and you do not need chaos. That is a very important aspect. To your question, the u. S. Military obviously, one of the things we do well is crisis response, from my own experiences living in florida, when hurricanes come in near military installations and things like that, there is a role for the military to play. We will be a part of a whole of government to your point, we will be bringing in capabilities and we will move forward it to help our fellow americans in our time of need. Neil appreciate you taking the time, thank you very much. Major general Patrick Ryder of the pentagon press secretary, bennett is eat follow these last 48 hours. We should let you know as well we are getting some confirmation of those without power, 70,000 in florida likely to grow. I would also like to show you at this time, tampa, florida, some of the images coming in especially our next Guests Home was damaged during helene. She has evacuated but she is worried about what happens now,i after thisru. In 99 of people over 50. Its lying dormant, waiting. And could reactivate. Shingles strikes as a painful, blistering rash that can last for weeks. And it could wake at any time. Think youre not at risk for shingles . Its time to wake up. Because shingles could wake up in you. If youre over 50, talk to your Doctor Or Pharmacist about shingles prevention. Suite three you are looking at your screen, milton from his face from the international space station, what is going on underneath those clouds, a lotis underneath those clouds, a lotis of people hire out of Power Close to 100,000, after this. Nah. But all that writing. Nope. Ai, done, built. Lets get to work. Create a beautiful website in minutes with godaddy. Neil all right, talking about having to deal with two big storms in short order, tampa, florida looking at the damage done to my next Guests Home, this is in the Tampa Bay community. She has since evacuated to avoid milton i believe she is on at Amelia Island, candace if i remember correctly, Amelia Island is on the other side, the very northeast corner of Florida Right on the border of Georgia Teemac you are out of Harms Way where are now, right . And that is correct. Neil how are you doing . How are things going back home . I am unsure how things are going to back home, my home was a flooded during helene. We evacuated during helene and again for milton. We are hoping and praying for the best, i expect a lot of further damage to be down to our home and our neighborhood and surrounding communities. Neil it look like it really got hit by helene and now you have this to deal with. That is crazy yes, what we thought was our forever home five years ago, we have three younger children and they have not seen the whole yet into their current condition but i am thankful we evacuated and we followed orders and im thankful that we did. Neil i am glad you did. How are the kids dealing with this . Are they partly excited i get that but scary as well . Shirt, they are definitely struggling abated. My 5yearold keeps crying to go home to his bunk beds, my 7yearold is sad you can to trickortreat every year like we did every year. I did my best to make these disruptions as a final for them as i can so we went to the Beach Yesterday here, and we went to the pool, we went to a Nature Walk and we are doing our best to be honest with them but also deliver news in a way that is ageappropriate. We said we cannot go home right now but we are thankful for friends and Family And Church that supported us. Neil the damage back in tampa, when you were there, were some resisting evacuating . We heard a lot of folks say i cannot go through this alone Packet Traffic at Gas Stations running out of fuel, i do want to do anything with it. What the mood back there . Certainly. I have many family, friends and neighbors who chose not to evacuated, bows for helene and it melted for various reasons. I believe that community does a good job of providing resources for people, there are many shelters open, they are free cuba rides to shelters, but its a very daunting task to prepare your Home And Family to leave for evacuation. I can understand why some people choose not to but i would urge anybody who considers evacuating to do so, it keeps the first responders say for so they dont have to be going to dangerous zones to rescue people. Im thankful be evacuated and we have resources to do so, it is quite a daunting task especially with a young three younger children and a dog. Neil i am curious, he said you moved and picked out this Home And Seminole five years ago. Are you a native from florida . That you move from Somewhere Else . My husband and i moved to the st. Petersburg area of florida about 10. 5 years ago, we lived in st. Petersburg for five years and we bought our first home again seminole about a 5. 5 years ago. Neil i talked to a lot of people in florida these last few years saying man, i knew about these storms, then im dealing high home Owners Insurance fees and association fees and higher Real Estate taxes saying is not what it is cracked up to be. What about you . For the most part i love living in florida, we have the best neighbors in the world, we are close to the beach because there are pros and cons of living everywhere. Unfortunately these hurricanes in florida, we are thankful for families and friends and our church and in the area and we believe the good outweighs the bad and we are looking forward to rebuilding. Neil still about three weeks or so until halloween and trickortreating. I am hoping and praying there will be enough of a cleanup to make sure those kids get their candy and if they dont, i think we will just drop ship some to your family. Hang in. I am sure it will work out. Thank you. Neil amazing stories, you hear them play out again and again, appreciating the gravity of what is going on. Orlando by the way, although hotels are booked. All the people moving or trying to get out when the storm, the fact it was a category five closing again, going to east and even though we will have high wind in the east, orlando seems a good, good place to go and it is a popular place to go because all of the hotels and Disney World, a lot of those folks i dont know what they are doing but we will get an Idea O Right after thish. Neil we have been emphasizing quizzes storm, it is not a matter where you are in florida you will get impounded with a lot of wind, three quarters of the stated will experience a Tropical Storm all the way to category three hurricane wind, that will probably be a low figure when it is all said and done, jacksonville beach, what he had my friend. Good to see you, Wind Gusting upwards of 40 miles an hour, and moments ago our Cell Phones were screaming at us, red Flag Warnings have just been issued. This is what the safety alerts said, anybody entering the ocean during these conditions is taking an extreme risk to their safety, lifeguards are not on duty. That is what that red Flag Warning of means that was just issued, also the wind mentioned, can gust upwards of 70 miles per hour is one of the reasons, not only the Tree Removal Agency said here but in the distance you can see Bucket Trucks that were handled of course the cleanup and the recovery and the Restoration Efforts after they knocked down trees and power lines. Lets go to the beach just for a quick second because we are expecting Storm Surge here at about 5 feet that will completely all these he was standing here will be slumped with water, downtown jacksonville, we have a 4foot Storm Surge, we now have a 4foot Storm Surge expected in downtown jacksonville, in forging do expect to see blending down that way, it is a multifaceted system, the tornado to the south has been a tornado outweighed southern florida, which is a multifaceted, folks here have to stay vigilant to this afternoon, overnight and of course it during the morning hours tomorrow. Neil be safe my friend, michael, when he watched the weather, here he is in jacksonville. It will get messy really pretty much for the entire state but it is of the Gulf Side we are worried about right now. Number prior is stuck and all of this in a weird way, does need tourists stranded by melton, how did that happen . Disney. My Husband John and i we had plans to come down to orlando for fall break, we live right now in nashville, tennessee. When we had started our journey down here, i believe the Hurricane Wasnt even a hurricane yet, it was not quite a Tropical Storm or on its way to become a Tropical Storm. And that was the plan, that was a plan to come down here and spend the week over at disney in our camper. And we were here for about a couple of days until it turned into a category four than a five , and then at that time, Ford Wilderness asked us to either find Somewhere Else to go , because they were on the Campground Neil always in the campground is not shutting down, i did not get a, where are you right now . Are you on disney property . Yes, we are at port orleans riverside. That is where we were moved. They were wonderful, all we had to do was call their number to transfer our booking over here. But we did have to wait an hour because Phone Lines were just so busy to three by you get that happy Music And Everybody wishing you a happy day. That you me ask you this, disney, all the hotels there are booked and a lot of people were there are note stranded and the parks are closed. Are they giving you any sense, on the waiting it out . Yes, that it is a lot of people here waiting it out. The census that everything is operational here at the resort, they will still have activities, they will still have food for everybody i believe it. So those evening hours where we will all have to hunker down. Neil so that will be scary tonight into Tomorrow Morning. But usually when things calm down and they do reopen, many places where kids want to be. Wet was the last part . Neil where do you want to go . If he had a favorite destination, people tell me mine is odd but where would you want to go . We definitely want to go. [inaudible] because our festivals going on. Wheat want to get over there, get our food and drinks. Neil i dig that, did not work out, think by norway i was completely smashed. I hope it works out for you, this is a great experience for you and the family per you will look back at this and say we will they we were there in history. Thank you. Were keeping track of this, close to 100,000 without a power, dozens of tornadoes in and around the Gulf Coast region. It spreads far and wide from st, as the Storm Hits and the surge comes. You have a hard to this guy 10 or 12 feet surge, seems historically incredible to believe that is what they are looking at here, the Storm Itself is a little faster than it was and that is giving hope to someone who thought the faster he gets out of there the faster it will get through but its what they will return to which is the big question, after thisax e. Neil the national Hurricane Center and weather are saying the same thing, shelter in a place where you are, dont even think about it being outside and if you are in this Neck Of The Woods we will deal with you tomorrow. But they are saying it is here and it is dangerous now as we speak. Following it very closely, fox whether it meteorologist, what can you tell as my friend . Reporter i have spent the days onto the beach, for the last two hours, im on the Atlantic Side of the storm, the wind has picked up. We are on the outermost rayna bender, remember, this is still on the gulf, im on the atlantic coast of florida. That Storm Surge warning, we had multiple Tornado Warnings ahead of the main Storm Itself, the Tornado Warnings, we have never seen this many Tornado Warnings in a hurricane before. At this point of the warnings have been near 100 and it started early this morning, all the way up to the north. Still a major category three hurricane, but it looks like it has dying a little bit up north, there is a reports is going south of the Tampa Bay area, that is not necessarily true. All the way down, still firmly in play. Even if you are not in the core it is expanding to pick millions of people will be affected by this storm, still calling for an 812foot Surge in it tampa, it would be a record after helene which was sevenpoint to watch while. And that wind, right off the gulf of mexico, 25 miles an hour wind, so areas south of tampa still getting a huge Storm Surge about eight or 15 feet into some spots, runs right through the peninsula of florida, we just spoke to somebody in Disney World that they are closing down what they have also closed down other locations. There is a huge affected going on, Cocoa Beach is interesting, a want you to look behind me, were watching squall after squall coming racing and, every once in a while, that hotel goes indivisible because of the rain in the window. When that happens i know him about 10 or 15 seconds away from being knocked around myself. Look at that there, a lot of people on the atlantic or East Coast side, they say we will not get a hit as much as the Gulf Coast but as you point out, in the wind is pretty severe where you are. Yes, its Tropical Storm force. We have expected it. Over to Cocoa Beach, eventually get here by Tomorrow Morning get into tomorrow afternoon. We are just starting around here on the East Coast. Neil you are amazing to my, all you guys are. I wouldnt say you could have a green screen to make it look like up there, amazing to. Stay safe my friend, Bob Van Daelyn fox whether meteorologist. Im kind of the same way myself, can you move the prompter out of have to bring this to the attention. City of maples driving curfew in effect, it began at 4 00 p. M. , about 49 minutes ago. Anybody who may be there, the national City Manager says that you better shelter in place and you better be careful because this thing is not getting around. Melton is here, we will have more after this. Neil all right, the storm is the fear is on. Where she lands exactly nobody can you put anyway, following right now miltons path, Category 3 storm now but again it is a big storm now and getting bigger all the time. Adam, what can you tell us . Neil, large as far as diameter goes and moving fairly quickly. That center of circulation is an hour ago about 100 Miles Southwest of tampa, moving close to 20 miles an hour, 80 miles away at this point. What an active day it has already been. Are never seen anything like this, 114 Tornado Warnings across the southern part of the state so far today. It has been firing off like crazy. They are still out there, now largely on the East Coast of the state. These are all Tornado Warnings, everyone of those is a Tornado Someone has laid eyes on and they are seeing it currently spin, unfortunately that Tornado Watch will be continuing across the entire region because the ingredients are there to all of these thunderstorms could continue to spin, continue to cause some real problems. It is not just those tornadoes, we are already beginning to see some of the heaviest Rain Move on sure, this in the sarasota area, anything in the green box is a flash flood warning. That is not from the Storm Surge, that is the inland water. The Storm Surge is going to be coming over the next couple of hours, this entire system will be dragging across the state, staying a hurricane as it travels through the overnight hours. We suspect these wins will continue to creep up as obviously distraught is twins are right there near the core but increasingly we have seen some of these gusts getting up to around 50 miles per hour. At times the gusts of gotten closer to 60 miles an hour, 70 miles an hour, these are some of our highest twins so far today. These numbers will continue to climb as we watch this center work its way on shore. Heres what that looks like, talking about the size of the storm, everything in yellow is Tropical Storm force, oranges and reds when you start to feel a hurricanetype wins, dragging out over the next couple of hours but we talk about the hurricane making landfall, probably more 11 00, midnight, that is when it is going to be at its absolute worst, and as you can kind of tell, it holds together, those are hurricaneforce wins being drug all the way across the state, just south of really inter interstate 4, but the heaviest rain and strongest twins have been on the North Side of the system so dont be shocked if you see some really high numbers there. This is ultimately what may be some of those totals look like, ringing all of that water on shore here, 12 feet in the tampa area, closer to 13 feet, perhaps getting down toward sarasota and still a little further, all of these numbers are absolutely absurd, 12 feet for Fort Myers beach. The Storm Surge, thats the thing we are really kind of waiting on this point and i think we are going see it as we get to the overnight hours, neil. Neil thank you very much for that. I want to introduce you to former fema administrator, always fascinating because not only does he know his stuff so well but he is the guy who came up with the Waffle House index. Im going to display that in just a second but craig, very good to have you. It was a good barometer, brilliant barometer because if they Waffle House starts cutting back its menu, you maybe want to pay attention to that. If it shuts down, youve got some problems, right . Yeah, this is what we are going to watch after the Storm Passes because Waffle Houses able to get open, that tells us a lot about the community. You can get around, the roads are passable, and they are building and will get back up even before the power comes back on. So it is a good indicator but as your meteorologist will tell you, full need to be prepared. This is not a small area about to be hit, talking about coastal evacuations but for the people in the path of the storm, they need to be expecting these extreme a high wins, Power Outages, and they need to get inside now. Neil already 130,000 without power. That is hours before it formally hits, so you have remind me in the past, that is not unusual but this could be quite widespread, right . If you look at the population from tampa to Daytona Beach Area and just south of there, expect large areas are going to be without power, talking millions of customers losing power in the next 12 hours. As that starts to occur and trees start coming down, it is externally dangerous. That is why the national Weather Service is telling people now is the time to get inside, unless your life is threatened, stay inside, during the storm, and expect to have Power Outages, trees down, heavy flooding, and we know being inside safe is better than being out in the storm. Neil we are also, no way of putting a number on how many responded to Evacuation Orders but we know a good number did not. Helene might have changed that, ian, but what do you say to all of those who are staying . They are at the point now where there is not going to be helped coming, you already heard from local officials and some of these communities, they are not able to take 911 calls, respond to them, and we will see that increasing as the storm makes landfall and begins across the state, that is so dangerous that the Emergency Services will have to stay in their safe locations until the Storm Passes, so once you get to that point there is no help coming until after the storm has passed. Neil im obligated to get your sense, fema, is it in good shape . Doesnt have enough resources . Your thoughts. Yeah, im not worried about fema, Governor Desantis is leading this response, fema is supporting them, so youve got a lot of resources that the state is managing and fema supporting that. Neil so you are confident authorities, everyone seems to be working well with everyone else. Everyone seems to be in sync on this. Yeah, this is the lesson all the way back to katrina, you cant wait until disaster happens to show up, so fema has been in the state Operations Center since before helene, but i think Theres Something else we need to talk about, when the Storm Passes and the danger is over, the Danger Hasnt ended because there is so many hazards out there but there is also the truth. You are going to be the fastest response for your neighbors. So as soon as it is safe and you are okay, check on your neighbors. We are going to save more people just doing that because the public as much as we talk about government jud
