It is now tied for the fourth strongest hurricane on record in the atlantic and is expected to make landfall in florida with catastrophic conditions late wednesday or very early thu thursday. I spoke to a gentleman who lost his entire home floating down the Flooding River in the middle of the street but let me show you they will need heavy equipment because of the destruction. We are standing where a business was ripped off its foundation. A car here collapsed underneath asphalt. You Come Back a little bit more and we can show you the Auto Repair shot absolutely destroyed when the river over here behind me was rising, crusted over 25 feet and came in and absolutely wrecked the comm community. A little bit of equipment there but they will need a lot more. The other thing they will need is communication. Entire communities were cut off from civilization. Sandra he was in town for a Sons Wedding when he realized all woman was trapped in a house surrounded by raising Flood Waters paired not only did he save a life, he has made lifelong friends now and he is here to tell us about it. With everything going on around you, here you see this woman struggling in raging flood floodwaters. You decide to act. Tell us about that moment. We had been near the House 3t how to get her out. The water had risen so fast she was trapped. Her husband was outside and the entire group of the Wedding Party that was able to make it about 15 people was down there plus some others and we couldnt figure out a way to get to her. We were able to scrounge up and things like and or and a Life Vest and i put the Life Vest on just in case. I try to canoe up to her from below where it was slower water but could not make it. And then the roof of a house came down the river, hit their house, and that was the last straw that pushed their house off its foundation. It had about 10 feet of water. It was up to the second floor. When the roof hit it, it started going down the river. It got caught on a tree and started coming apart and wheeled a jump. We didnt want the house to collapse on her and when she jumped i tried to get to her from the canoe i was in but again i couldnt control it in the water so i just figured the only chance i had left was to jump in and swim to her. Sandra that is incredible and obviously you knew how dangerous that was. But this is something you felt you had to do. This was pretty much her only choice of survival at that point. How did she react to this and how did you ultimately get her to safety . I swim out to her. It was very fast 150yard Section of water and there was nothing we could do. A riptide it, just write it out. And we went to a little bit of a slower section and that is where i swim toward the shore and only had to swim about ten or 15 yards to get out of the fast current and then the remaining 30 yards or a show was relatively and not too hard. She was calm, just let me grab onto her vest and pulled her in. Sandra i had chills reading the story before speaking with you. When you reached her, you grabbed onto the back of her Life Vest she was wearing and said ive got you, just kick. And i can only imagine the relief she felt knowing that you were there and she was going to be saved in that moment. You have become friends since then. I can only imagine how absolutely grateful she is. The rehearsal got canceled because only 15 of the 42 people could get there. The river was over the road, the trees were over the road. So we had Food And Plenty of extra food so we invited them to the dinner and you are seeing there. Fill her husband is still wearing the shirt he was in the river with. Sandra i know when your wife saw you after this heroic effort on your part she said she didnt want to have a wedding and a funeral at the same day. She was crying. They turned 1 and 6 in captivity and these students are walking around supporting it. Literally using their terminology. I grew up in new York City paired this is not anything i couldve imagined happening in the city that i grew up and that was always so welcoming. But they are having this flood new york for palestine not on october 6th, not on october 8th, but on October 7th. They are celebrating these terrorists who infiltrated israeli towns paired their antiamerican, they are antiwestern, and they are proterror. At columbia they set up a big Art Installation on campus to be a place for students to grief. These proisrael groups put together this Art Installation that was really beautiful. I saw photos and i spoke with some of my friends over there. The students for justice and palestine, i think it was organized by this group called within our lifetime, they walked around the Art Installation chanting from the river to those see. That is calling for the genocide of everyone who lives and between the river and the sea. That is not arab. Speech at what was it like for you to stand up for israel on your campus . What were things that you heard at some of the name calling you described appeared brutal and awful. One time i was walking on Campus And Someone came up to me and stopped me dead in my tracks and said you are that girl. I think i was wearing Air Positives like what girl. You know, that one that supports people who Kill Babies and genocide. I was walking to class and because i had supported israel after October 7th, after i supported israel after the biggest massacre of jewish people since the holocaust, this person had decided to come and accost me On My Way to Class And I cant even imagine what the students who are still on campus today feeling. Last year they did not give me a second degree of my friends who were murdered by hamas on the seventh and they just started protesting.
