Questions still on everyone's mind why can't the secret service keep trump safe? he's already to at or his plans to hold out to rallying retired nypd inspector fox news contributor paul mauro out to the site multiple times great to see you paul on a saturday night. Great to be here. They pulled it off no distinct and safest place in america. What is your take away from the changes that the secret service said they would make? so i talk to a lot of law enforcement on the ground out there including executives very clearly a ton of assets thrown at this thing as you say safest area in america certainly that roof was safest roof in america i think the real thing that went on here that's so important that may be part of this paradigm shift relative to the service that we're promised is the fact that everybody was colocated in one command center. That's not what we had last time there was a little bit of an atmosphere of okay there's a big guy's tent that had service and pennsylvania state police and locals in a different tent and as a result when the locals picked up the threat from thomas crooks there was that two minute lag. And that siloing is what almost cost donald trump his life. So you heard with crane a navy s. E. A. L. Known as sniper he's been at that siting and right now the way the secret service is structured the president is not safe. He wants military around him he wants his private security around him. What do you think? i hope we haven't gotten to the point to have private security because that's what the service is there for and i would rather mend it rather than end it that's how they handle vip overseas. Other thing here too is i think the service has to come around as a par dial to working with the state and locals because that's where the bodies are. If you need resources here let me give you an example what president trump went up to the bronx in new york city he was denied assets i knew that at the time that was well above the two assassination attempts. All he really wanted was bodies and they were denied all right. That's an incident where you've got the nypd, 36,000 cops they control resources but other areas that is not possible. Part of the new paradigm has to be to pull from the locals, go to state, and also other federal agencies they did tonight they have the horses. They can do it. I reach for my wallet, though, when i hear we're going hire everybody under sun and getting tech. More money is not always the answer. Management is. Under homeland security and they want to back treasury. And new york times did a story that secret service to get them back in numbers back up. They went to the guys that are retired, and they said keep your pensions. Keep your retirement and come back and ill pay you on top of that and then all of the secret service starts retiring to get double and triple pay how crazy is that? who genius that thought of that? terrible management i go back to top person was after the event never been there and should have been there because that was the leadin to the rnc a national security event she supposed to be there where is she? she's in aspen for a dweek give a speech. That's kind of lack of leadership that leads to stuff like that. Our chief correspondent trey yingst joins us now 3ing in the morning there thanks for doing this i'll get to your book in a second about today. I was looking at some of the those secondary explosions. That looked like a huge hit in southern lebanon. Yeah. Absolutely. There have been some massive air strikes against hezbollah in lebanon today. Many of them targeting the lebanese capitol of beirut specifically the neighborhood this hezbollah strong hold in the southern part of the city. This is an indication that the israelis are still trying to put new pressure on iran backed group also an indication they have am neglection stored in the lebanese cab capitol so from the secondary explosions some of that ammo cooking off as the israelis conduct the strikes but even as we speak at this hour there are fresh reports coming in from beirut about renewed israeli air strikings against positions there. Brian: wow, what about the about hamas situation is there possibility that sinwar is still alive and amendable to talking about a ceasefire or less? yeah. There is a belief that head of hamas is still alive and inside gaza. The new york times reporting today that he's taken a hard line position on the negotiations even harder than before. But this comes after weeks of speculation he could have been killed israelis saying they didn't have communication with him so there are a lot of rumors swirling out of gaza we've been careful about or reporting as a relates to whereabouts and health of him. But i can tell you tonight israelis are conducting some sort of bombing campaign against the northern part of gaza we've seen horrible images people including civilians, trapped underneath rubble in northern gaza some children among the mix there. And so the israelis likely to face new questions tomorrow about what they were trying to hit tonight in gaza. And why right now with israeli forces still operating inside the strip whether or not this is a fresh operation to possibly go after hamas leadership that exist in pockets within gaza or to look for the remaining hostages. One thing is clear coming up on one year since black saturday one of the most horrific things since holocaust you witnessed it all. It is all in your book black saturday inside recounting terrors of 10/7/2023 your thoughtses one year later, and everything that's taken place. Being that you had to go back to the play by play your own notes to put this book together. Yeah. Absolutely. I wrote this new book black saturday. And the back of our crew car on the gaza border as we reported from southern israel. We were in the south on the morning of october 7th. We witnessed this massacre unfolding real time people died in front of us. We then went into the communities known as and live often to show what hamas did to the country we later went into gaza with the military as well to report what was happening to palestinians there and israeli efforts against hamas. And so my thoughts a year later it's really quite dire and it's sad because nothing has changed in many ways. There's still more than 100 who is tamings being held inside gaza by hamas. Some of them are dead some of them are alive. And israeli campaign against palestinians continues. Against hamas but as a result a byproduct of that campaign many palestinians civilians continue to die. And so no winners come out of this war or any war for that fact. And as we look forward here to what comes next, we're getting closer and closer to a broader regional conflict that makes livelihood of a ceasefire deal between israel and hamas it make it is far less likely as this moves forward. Brian: here's an exempt from your book i feel like i was there by the way you wrote on report on television too you write this hamas government going door to door systemically systemically grenades thrown in bedrooms and children shot in front of their parents their bodies disfigured and you witnessed a lot of this. How do you get over that? how do you deal with that? it's challenging and i write about this in black saturday. You know, we went into many of these communities before they were cleared. There were bodies all over. Certain parts of one of the communities hardest hit you had to be careful where you walked in the backyards because there were so many bodies. You didn't want to trip over the resident or dead militants in that area. And so it really just gives you a sense of things that we saw and how important it is to continue talking about it so that people do not forget. Custom border protection that are running around this country is there why do you guys same kamala it is kamala harris, cory you've been in the business a long time. You're i think you're a mature grownup it is kamala harris. Can you just say kamala. Can you say that or cannot say kamala? can you admit 99 murders that come into the country you say you haven't cory i appreciate you coming on maybe we'll have you back thanks for your time. What a clown. What a clown. If we have to talk about illegal immigration while focus on her name. Exactly. I think it is pretty obvious that jim didn't want to focus on the facts or figures there because they're detrimental to the narrative but there's another group of folks brian who don't want to talk about kamala harris or joe biden's record that's the ladies of the view. Now listen after liz cheney came out, of course, endorsing kamala harris speaking for kamala harris' campaign, of course, the ladies of the view had to pounce on that. They are suddenly big fans of the cheney family but imploring to vote for a democratic kamala harris to save democracy. Take a look at this one, brian. You have conservative beliefs you want that to be represented again you have to vote for kamala harris to save it. Say to those republicans out there sitting on the fence just do it this one time. Do it this one time. Vote for the democrat this to save the country. Listen to liz cheney when everything goes back to normal then become a republican again like elsa will become [laughter] begging people republicans please just once don't vote for trump. I can't imagine being a republican or really any sane person and taking electoral advice from joy but i can't imagine watching the view other than when we have to watch it, of course, to do this segment but this last one is probably the best one yet. Brian and we have to get to this. Msnbc right they have gordon on, of course, a key witness had in a 2019 trump impeachment attempt but a change heart because of how bad biden and kamala are and he shocked host at msnbc and brought this one up. Take a look at this. J important to say no more trump because of the january 6th conduct and do you stand by is that? i don't stand by it i'll tell you why i've lived four years around bidenharris policies. And i have to say that those policies are not only becoming an exsen threat to our country's life but allies as well. I'll let you finish but so striking you said it was a no for me after that. And here we are right now i did. You are saying it is a yes for you. [laughter] you can't believe it. Crazy almost as if that's not what the preinterview says we should stop the tape too bad we're live. I think it's probably highly likely that gordon won't be invited back i'm surprised they didn't cut his mic like in the vice presidential debate they don't like to hear that kamala and joe are so bad they're turning a trump impeachment witness into a trump voter in 2024. You've got to love it brian the media is so triggered they're so trump obsessed they want you to be too unfortunately at that rally tonight i think trump has got a lot of momentum behind him and there's going to be a lot more clips on msnbc they're not going to like. Media moments that matter the most you worked that vcr hit play record i think you pick great clips good luck on your show this week on outkick. Thanks brian and go mets. Brian: absolutely.
