So far nothing from the White House on new data that show there could be Tens Of Thousands of illegal immigrants convicted of violent crimes roaming freely inside the united states. That may mean they dont like them. That data are from immigration and Customs Enforcement showing there are more than 425,000 nondetained illegal immigrants with criminal convictions inside america. Which includes more than 13,000 convicted of homicide, 15,000 convicted of sexual assault. Ice also found the number of overall illegal immigrants on the nondetained docket, which means they are roaming freely and we dont know where they are. That number has doubled under the Bidenharris Administration. Americans in many cities already know this because they are feeling the dangerous effects. That includes very posh communities like nantucket, massachusetts. We did feel safe but not anymore. As a father, it truly scares me. I would like to see more being done. It is just not what nantucket once was. I feel that there is an invasion happening not just on nantucket but in our country. Nothing like wondering is my husband, wife, son, daughter, mother, father alive . Many more who remain without electricity, water, food and communications. Homes and businesses washed away in an instant. I want them to know were not leaving until the job is done. Also want you to know im committed to traveling to the impacted areas as soon as possible but ive been told it would be disruptive if i did it right now. We wont do that at the risk of diverting or delaying any of the response assets needed to deal with this crisis. My first responsibility is to get all the help needed oh those impacted areas and i expect to be there excuse me, i have a cold. Expect to be there later in week. I and my team are in constant contact with governors, mayors and local leaders. The head of fema is on the ground now in North Carolina. She will stay in asheville and stay there for the foreseeable future. Reports of over 100 dead and consequences of this storm and there are reports of up to 600 people unaccounted for because they cant be contacted. God willing they are alive but there is no way to contact them again because of the lack of Cell Phone coverage. I directed my team to provide every available resource as fast as possible to your communities. To rescue, recover and begin rebuilding. In addition to fema including the federal Communications Commission to help establish communications capability. The National Guard, the Army Corps of engineers and Department Of Defense will provide all the resources and its disposal to rescue and assist in Clearing Debris and delivering lifesaving supplies. So far, thats over 3,600 personnel deployed. That number is growing by the day. I quickly approved requests from governors of florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, tennessee, georgia, virginia and alabama for an emergency declaration. I approved additional requests for the governors of North Carolina, florida, South Carolina and for Disaster Declaration to pay for debris removal, provide financial assistance directly to survivors. Fema and the small Business Administration are there to help the residents who homes and businesses were destroyed, washed away or blown away. Federal Search And Rescue teams have been working sidebyside with state and local officials and partners in very treacherous conditions to find those who are missing. They will not rest until everyone is accounted for. I want to thank all the first responders and everyone who has been working around the clock. One of the brave teams volunteered to be there is from san diego County Fire Department set to travel from california to North Carolina to help. On their way they were in a terrible Car Accident in louisiana. We pray for their full recovery. It was a bad accident. We know there is more to do. Well continue to surge resources including food, water, communications and lifesaving equipment. Well be there, as i said before and i mean it, as long as it takes to finish this job. Right here in this county here its more than 35 killed. That number will keep rising. They really need the basics here when you talk to volunteers. Food and water. At 2 00 p. M. Today theyll start getting Food And Water at stations set up around asheville. Certainly initially a lot of these first responders were simply overwhelmed by the force of this storm. We spoke to one man who said when he called 911 he said the water is rising and they told him climb higher, which is a pretty frightening call to get with 911. As far as shelters go, right now theyre saying all the shelters are full. There is no electric power, no running water. Officials here asking people dont come here. Send help but dont come. We cant handle it right now. Harris, back to you. Harris i want to ask also because people have complained i want to get a feel for this about where fema is. Are they able to get to some of these shelters . We understand now across several states, you have been reporting this again all morning, that these shelters are at capacity in many cases. Where do people go . Where is fema . Do you have any answers . Here in this county one of the hardest hit, fema is not in the shelters and the shelters are full. You can see what a challenge it is just to move around here with trees down. You drive a few hundred yards and need to turn around. It is a challenge. Im in the eastern part of the state and were no stranger to the catastrophic events that flooding that have happened in our area. We have a number of different groups that have teamed up to send water, supplies, whether it be baby formula, diapers, basic necessities through channels like samaritans purse, american Red Cross. Thats where those supplies need to go. They dont need people in the area right now unless you are a contracted emergency responding. There is no cell service. A lot of the roads are gone. And when we talk about damage, we are talking catastrophic damage where you have towns that are gone. They are no longer there. It is really hard to picture this happening in our state. Our state is strong, our state is prepared and well do whatever we need to do to rebuild. Right now the basic necessities our citizens need. Harris you are in a different location from our reporter, representative bell. Get your perspective on this. Steve harrigan is reporting that fema is not inside the shelters and the shelters in North Carolina at least where he is are full. What are people expected to do . Where is fema on this . Is the problem that it is simply impassable to these areas or something else causing the choke getting them help . I Cant Answer that. I know we have major interstates and highways that are gone. They arent passable right now. Our Department Of Transportation is working on that. We actually have helicopters dropping supplies in and out. I do know as of about 30 minutes ago, there has been some highways that are accessible to parts of the heavy hit areas. But to date we were actually still getting hold of House And Senate members as of Yesterday Morning that we havent heard from since thursday afternoon. Harris where are you . Im in goldsboro, an Hour East of raleigh. Traditionally if you are dealing with flooding in our state, this is the area that it happens. So a lot of our folks here, churches, organizations, are teaming up to get supplies to deliver to our friends. In our time of need they helped us out and now its time to help them.
