In pennsylvania. They are happy with that. They should be happy all across the state of pennsylvania. It is a big story. It would go back 2016, Donald Trump wins by more than 44,000 votes. 2020 in pennsylvania, Joe Biden wins by 81,000 votes. Thats compare and contrast the registrations and all of these years. Democrats at 892,000 more democrats than republicans registered in 2016. 666,000 more than 2020. Look at this. These are the registrations now. 338,000. That number has been almost cut in half. If you go back to the map and we go back to 2016, the spread is 44000 for Donald Trumps win. Thats at a Place where democrats and 554,000 more democrats registered then are registered now in the state of pennsylvania. That is a huge story that we are going to be watching to see how that affects the vote on election night. Another big story that we are watching is the Electoral College, 270 Electoral Votes to win back the great states or toss ups. For the sake of argument that the Vice President wins across the rust belt. Wisconsin, michigan, and pennsylvania. There are new polls indicating that former President Trump has some strength in the Sun Belt and wins North Carolina, georgia, arizona, nevada. 269268. That brings us to the congressional district states. Maine and nebraska. Traditionally around omaha, that is a democratic Place. 1 Electoral Vote goes there. However, there is an effort to try to get nebraska to be a winnertakeall on its Electoral Votes. It would have to be the state legislature, specifically the State Senate that blocks a filibuster. One of those Senators State Senator Mike Mcdonald came out with a Statement Today saying after deep consideration, it is clear to me right now 43 days from Election Day, it is not the moment to make this change. I will not change my longheld position i will oppose any attempted changes to our electoral College System before their 2024 election. Back to the map. If it stays like this in this scenario played out, the traditional outcome would be that Kamala Harris would pick up that and get to 270 and the White House. Trump allies including Lindsey Graham are fighting for this winnertakeall option. If they change the law on nebraska it wont be on the phone in the middle of the night, it will be through a democratic process. The entire federal immigration, House Members and want this change. As i also mentioned him of the Vice President is showing strength in wisconsin and pennsylvania. I think you are really seeing these kinds of splits here where the Electoral College is shifting around. People think that everything is given. Texas use to be democratic. California used to be republican. You have a real fight over in the midwest. It could split in half really and this election. I think that trump iS Picking up better with latino voters. That is why he is doing better in the Sun Belt. I think that is a change. I also think the Statebystate Poll Larry nassar out of sync. They cant be accurate. If its this close in these states, she is not winning by 4 points nationally. Is it affect North Carolina . It could. I tend to doubt it. I think the president ial race leads above the governors race. Bret what is that thing we are not thinking of . In North Carolina, usually things below you on the ballot dont hurt the guy above. The democrats are doing enough spots. I think you had one of the biggest things is that a change in registration which i think is driven by culture. The reason you are seeing Trump Talk about transgender surgeries made for by taxpayers for prisoners, the reason you are seeing Kamala Harris all of a sudden say, ive got a gun and if anybody tries to break into my house and interview me, i will shoot them. Its because they understand that cultures upstream of the economy and every other issue. That is the thing to watch through those Registration Numbers tell us that there is a big cultural boom for Donald Trump underneath all of this. I think that may be the powerful thing that drives this election. Bret it is also powerful that they are making choices about where they go and where they dont go. Coming out boasting the invite and which it says President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris went out there we heard from the former president that he doesnt want to do another debate. He said the next and final time we will see these kids together will be at the 79th Allen Smith Memorial tenor. Two candidates ripping each other. I think trumps decision on the debate basically does make sense at thiS Point. Its too risky for him in the final days. He thinks there is unnatural arc where she haS Peaked. Now she is going to really have to figure out ways to get another point or two which are declining. Bret there are very few moments where you will see americans or talk to americans in that big number of 70 Million roughly together. In a debate. Again, they get to test each other. We learn more about who they are. Its a shame to see them pass up that opportunity. If you are Kamala Harris, and you think about the great strong Women Leaders who have been elected, whether Prime Minister of England Or Margaret thatcher, they are strong tough women and seriouS People. Margaret thatcher didnt cackle or laugh a lot. I think Kamala Harris is concerned that going into this environment on top of the good reasons mark mentioned dignifying her opponent, she may not have wanted to put herself in a position where she was taken less seriously. She seems to be doing a pretty good job of that already. Bret obviously the press once more interviews. We always want more interviews. We want more access. Is that whole dynamic of limiting her exposure to tough interviews, is not having an effect at all in the electorate, how they think about the race . I think it is a Strength And Vulnerability for her. It is a strength, because her Image Makers and herself are able to project an image of being likable, of being poors unpopular policies. Never having to address what she really supported before. It is a vulnerability. 20 or 30 independent voters who want to make up their mind realize they are not getting those things to make up their mind. At the Trump Campaign really effectively attacked it, it would be a vulnerability produce more of a Strength Today than a vulnerability. Bret how democratS Painted Donald Trump as a risk and his strength is a risk versus the risk that republicans say is the empty vessel that you dont know what she is really going to do in 2019. The risk of the unknown that she has no woke candidate she is trying to get away from.
