So what is the difference between all five of these options and what is available in your state . Vote early, vote absentee, vote on Election Day do whatever but have you vote. Bret President Ial campaigns are treating every day like Election Day. Bret you say not onesizefitsall but it really have dr. Different dramatically in some states. We have states in oregon and washington who have basically 100 Percent Voting by mail. Almost no polling place. We have some states in the northeast that some in The Deep South who really look much more traditional. Bret alabama and New Hampshire have adopted the same strict requirements as mississippi only absentee Voters Vote by mail excuse illness, working out of state or working a shift that conflicts with polling hours. Democrats question efforts to try to restrict access to voting. Across our nation we are witnessing a Fullon Assault on other hard fought hard one fundamental freedoms and rights like the freedom to vote. Seven other states have eliminated Mail Ballots and offered in Person Voting instead. 36 allow voters to cast ballots by mail. For the people who say there should just be paper ballots. Maybe there should just be one week to try to avoid this influx of coming through the mail. There is all kinds of talk out there how to make it better or safer. Is there one sense of whats better . I think there are differences. I do think people have a good instinct that they want there to be a ballot there. A tangible physical ballot. But we also have very complicated ballots with many people on the ballot. Sometimes 10, 20 races that you are voting for in a particular election that really means we do have to have technology to count it. About. Bret Swing State arizona will begin processing and counting ballots before Election Day. LawS Prevent results from being reported until november 5th. 14 states, including competitive minnesota will not begin tallying Mail Ballots until after the polls close. I talk to businessmen around the country they say we can track a package all around the world, know exactly where its going to go and, yet, would very this Ballot Process we Vice President made fast, made it quickment. Quick. Its had some problems over the last two or three Election Cycles. Parts of it is because states want to put in a lot of convenience parts to voting and dont think of how they all fit together. Bret toss up State Nevada allows mostly Mail Election and still count ballots that arrive up to four days following Election Day so long as they are postmarked november 5th. The Fox News Decision Desk can now project former president Joe Biden will win Pennsylvania And Nevada and nevada. And in pennsylvania, 2024 could look a lot similar to 2020 when it took four days after the election to call the race. Officials are reporting delays in sending out Mail Ballots. The Hold Up could cause issues on Election Day since pennsylvania does not start processing Mail Ballots until 7 00 a. M. On november 5th. We saw in 2020 and how long that took. How long do you think it could take in 2024 to figure out who won the President Ial election . I guests im an optimist things be somewhat quicker than 2020. I think there is a good chance we will be able to know the outcome unless its very close. Bret it is very, very close if you look at the polls. We have a number of weeks to go before Election Day. Have those individual states changed operations since 2020 to speed things up. To be more effective to make sure there is checks and balances in place . There has been some improvement and they vary from stated to state. The voting by mail is not going to be as high or as unexpected. I think many states will be ready for that and be able to count more quickly. Bret over the weekend, all states will send out Absentee Ballots to military and overseas voters. Make it clear what she wants to means to do she hasnt. Only speaking of her personal biography does she seem authoritative. Otherwise airy, evasive and nonresponsive. And if you look at her audience, which is american voters and people Peggy Noonan is talking about right now in a tight race undecided or swing voters, you would have to say, wait a minute, her strategy seems to be working because the polls that have come out this week show, you know, its a very tight race but the momentum is with her. So you stop and think about it, and you say well, especially i was struck this week to see that some of the top pundits now say that she has a slight lead in terms of electoral college. I have never seen that before it. Could shift backwards. I think what we may see with the interviews is especially if there is not a second debate, that her strategy may shift and that she will want the kind of attention that comes from having interviews with big stars like Shannon Bream. Shannon well, listen, we would love to do a debate too. That door is also open. Let me put this up because of a lot of Fox Polling numbers. What else the single most important factor motivating you to vote this election . Remaining at the top of the list is high prices followed by immigration. Mollie, those are also two topics, two issues that voters give the edge to President Trump. So, why is that not showing up in more in the headtohead polls . I actually think it is showing up in the headtohead polls. Think what 2016 and 2020 polls showed y us. They said those are races where Donald Trump had no shot. He was so far out. There was no way he could win. Well, he won in 2016. And 2020 was not the 10point Race that pollsters told us it was it. Turned out to be down to 43,000 votes across three states. So now you have these tied polls for Kamala Harris where maybe she is up a point or two. And that is not good news for her. She needs to be up at least as much as she needs to be 5, 7, 8 points ahead of where she is right now. So, yes, the strategy has been lets keep her out of interviews because people might see that she is in completely over her head. She cannot articulate a policy thought to save her life. But, as she keeps struggling in the polls, i think you might see her speaking more. Shannon you mentioned that it came down to three states last time around. Politico agrees the electoral map is three states. Only three states will decide, pennsylvania, North Carolina, and georgia. If Vice President Kamala Harris cant carry pennsylvania, her only hope is on a southern strategy she Must Win either georgia or North Carolina. She has no other path to the White House. Byron, there are a lot of nervous republicans because of some of the situation in North Carolina and georgia. They are a lot closer than the g. O. P. Would like them to be. Yeah. That article is because North Carolina is now in play. If North Carolina were not in play, then trump would have a lot more options. The whole path for trump is to win everything he won in 2020, which he can do, and then he needs to win georgia, and he needs to win pennsylvania. That alone would get him to 270 electoral votes or he could win Georgia And Arizona and nevada, maybe. But, if he loses North Carolina, then, wow, things open up and he has got Win Something pretty big somewhere else. And i think a lot of republicans, trump supporters, thought that georgia and North Carolina were kind of in the bag when Joe Biden was the candidate. And now they are actually in play. And so, yeah, they are worried. Shannon lets talk about georgia. Because today there was a decision by the state Election Board there that they are going to hand count ballots. There has been a lot of pushback to that saying its going to craterrers and waste time. But just so spoke folks electronic ballots. Not counting the ballots for names of candidates. Counting the numbers of ballots get them matched as closely to the Electric Ton electronic ballots. There a lot of people say republicans upsetting the Apple Cart and make a lot of Con Giewtion Roll out in georgia. One of the basic things can you do to restore Election Integrity to make sured that the number of ballots matches the number of votes tallied for different people. And we havent had that in many states. And so a lot of states say well maybe we cant do a full audit of the entire Election Process. At the very least we can make sure that the number of voters match the number of ballots we receive. Shannon want to make sure we hit on the other story on the Secret Service. Issued a Report Summary a few pages long. We heard from the Acting Director who said this today in part. The Mission Assurance Review has identified deficiencies in the advanced planning and implementation by Secret Service personnel. These employees will be held accountable. I have directed that the Secret Service embark on significant Paradigm Shift redefine how we conduct protective operations. Shannon brian, what did you take from the presser today. This is a staggering set of errors by the Secret Service. We have seen that once you got the video of one of the men who was actually shot, who survived and you could see the shooter just not too far away on the roof, you thought how in the world could this have happened . And the failures that were outlined today are still almost unbelievable in a socalled Zero Fail Environment at the Secret Service.
