Laura: good evening, everyone. I'm laura ingraham. This is the ingraham angle. Thank you as always for joining us. My ankle in moments. But first. It if it is one thing the democrats have learned over the past eight years, it is that you can never really count out donald trump. Last night, truck was in new york for a rally and it is official. He is on the offense. In new york, we are going to win new york. [cheers and applause] and if you vote for me, i'm going to reduce your taxes, produce your crime, and your levels of stress. [cheers and applause] the only thing that i will increase our your incomes and your love for your state. It will come roaring back again. Laura: it is not the he complete impossibility especially considering that a new poll shows new york governor kathy hochul's favorability has fallen below trump. Among new yorkers. I've. I've been saying for years that republicans should embrace a 50 state strategy for victory. No state left behind. And despite the left's accusation that he is just negative all the time, last night, it was a happy trump. November 5th, we will save our economy. We will rescue our middle class. We will reclaim our sovereignty and restore our borders. We will put america first and we will take back our country. Laura: from campaigns does interviews, engages with voters, goes to bars in lower manhattan, despite the fact that he was almost assassinated again just four days ago. And it cannot be a starker difference from what kamala harris' strategy seems to be, which is more of a hide went out the clock strategy. Axios is reporting today ahead on the harris/walz ticket is on pace to fear interviews in press conferences than any major party's potential appearing in modern u. S. History. Harris's team is betting that she and her running mate, minnesota governor tim walz, it can avoid many tough questions, to have interviews and still win as they went down the clock to election day. Bu this strategy is it doomed to fail. Ideas not really an agenda. No policies, at least they want to talk about. No answers. And a telltale sign that it is becoming a problem is when the media actually starts to question it. We need listen to the kamala harris and what she will do, you can almost start to start a drinking game every time she says small businesses. And i think it is risky for harris. What is her first what is on day one i'm going to do x? we know what he is going to do on day one. I understand your two much paper and suddenly you are at the center and she wants to make trump the story. I wonder if that is going to hurt her in at some point the league. That they are right and the media and the democrats know that trump is a political force to be reckoned with, especially among middleclass voters. So instead of listening to some of the pundits and the political establishment in washington, let's listen to what his supporters had to say. We stand with trump. We believe in trumpet and we don't back down. I want to say to the president trump, don't change. Don't forget about us and we are with you. After he got shot the first time and he said, fight, fight, fight, that boo me out of that will be out of the water. Back drill, baby, drill. Go, trump, though. We just need trump to win. Laura: three news now florida governor ron desantis. Governor desantis, it is fantastic to see you. What do you make of this, you have talked about this for years that republicans should not be wedded to this just pull out a victory and cobbled together the votes they need electorally and just five or six states. Make it a national campaign for renewal. Trump in long island was was that an important moment? , look, if you look at last election, they see the biden won by however many millions of votes. That was all new york and california because republicans haven't really played here. We had a good run in the governor's race in new york. And i think it is going to happen overnight. But i think what he's doing is laying the groundwork to have a resurgence in new york and it may not be enough to actually win it. Part of the reason, laura, is because a lot of the republicans in new york have moved to my state of florida. Of the scooters we have millions more republicans now than democrats and that is just the reality. But yes, i think the message resonates. And so you've got to win the electoral college. No one is saying in to ignore that i know who they put a lot of time into that. About some of these places, we can't just write off indefinitely, in new york and california with no pathway to come back. Look what has happened in florida. We used to be a one point state and now we have a million more republicans and we are reliably red. So these things can change. And i will tell you, there is an awful lot of people in that arena in long island. Well, apparently, the harris campaign for governor, thinks that they can actually win florida and abc reporter training that doug in half told a group of reporters that the harris campaign use florida as a potential underground. Governor, i know you never want to take anything for granted. But what about what the first would be first gentleman is saying about florida? , that is wishful thinking. At the end of the day, you have a candidate in kamala harris. She is a vapid san francisco leftist. But we have got people that have fled san francisco to come to florida to get away from harris's type of governance. I have people in florida who fled minnesota to get away from tim walz's governance. They saw minneapolis burn when he was governor and he sat there and let it happen. Of that is not in the cards, especially in florida, not just because of the fact that we have so many were republicans now about we have a lot republicans who know what that type of leftist governance is. And you pointed out in the lead into this and how she does not like to answer questions. She does not go out there. And there's a reason for that. Because ultimately, her beliefs are way out of step with the american people. She wants to tell people what they want to hear in a moment. She can even answer questions about what she would do about the border. What she would do to bring grocery prices dumping the esquer, what you would you do to do inflation? she said, i grew up in a middleclass family. Will, that is nice but that is not a plan for this country's future. Laura: i want to turn to another topic because we were relieved to hear that you are doing your own independent investigation in florida concerning the second assassination attempt on president trump. My question to you tonight, are the offense being cooperative with your investigation? are you concerned that you are not getting the information you need? the answer is no, they're not being cooperative yes, i am concerned. For example, we were rebuffed our investigators were rebuffed just going to the fence line outside of trump international golf club in west palm beach. And so i think they have taken the position, you know, didn't want this to florida to be involved in this. But here's the thing. There were multiple violations of florida law across multiple jurisdictions. With the at least three judicial circuits. This guy, ryan routh, committed potential violations of florida law. So we have a duty to investigate this. We have a duty to bring the appropriate charges and we also have a duty to inform the public about how this happened. So i don't anticipate there being a cooperative. I think that they just have taken that position. And i think that that is unfortunate because even though i have been very clear, state of florida has is going to do an investigation. I'm not a disputed. They are right to also investigate. It is a federal government. He was in their protective custody as a presidential candidate. But let us do this. So hopefully that attitude will change. But i tell you right now, laura, we have not gotten a lot of receptive response. Laura: very disturbing. By the way, we have routh's mug shot where he looks to be is likely smirking. He is a very strange individual to say the least. We have heard other fbi agents, from her agents, saying they take it is quite odd that in the first assassination attempt and the second assassination attempt, there's almost an immediate response from the offense saying that, oh, it looks like he has acted alone or we really don't know what the motives are here. Does that strike you as to say the least? yeah, i do think the public has confidence when that is being done. So as soon as we got word of this on sunday, i told our guys in state law enforcement, save all his social media because you know facebook will delete it, the tech companies want to delete it. Get his digital trail, a store that, because we need to know, how did he end up in florida to begin with? what is this past week this guy has taken to end up in those bushes trying to assassinate the former president of the united states and current republican nominee? how did that happen? and we have not gotten answers about whether. We have not gotten answers about things like that las vegas shooting for many years ago. A part of the investigations that are folks are doing is they are going to provide evidence the point of motive, evidence of his associations and evidence of his beliefs. I think it is very important that the public to get the real story on that. Laura: yeah, the fbi has treaded its own credibility. And governor, thank goodness you are doing an investigation. There the governor signed a bill outlawing political communications that use artificial intelligence, what's going on? this goes back to elon musk posting a satirical ad over the summer. We are not going to show it but in it kamala harris is heard calling herself incompetent and the ultimate diversity higher. It's digitally altered audio which irritated her pal governor newsom. A couple months ago there was something in there was a bunch of adds that were being promoted , ai generated adds and defects with kamala harris' voice. They were fake and deeply damaging. It was wrong on every level, malicious intent behind these. Impacting elections. That is now. . . What this does in california is prohibit posting digitally altered or what they are calling election communication efforts on these big social media platforms. My question is if you do a spot on impersonation and it's parity, how do you allow that? there's a guy suing them over this, the guy who created that initial ad or parity of the ad. Laura: the artificial intelligence stuff is tricky. I don't know where the line is but they will have to figure that out. It will always be used to shut down conservative speech i will tell you that. That's always how it works out. You can't stop satire and comedy. If they can call it the powerful who's going to do it? that's covered by the first amendment as he will find out. Laura: great to see you as always, think you so much. That is it for us tonight, make sure to follow me on social media. Thank you for watching, remember it is america now and forever appear jesse watters takes it from here. Jesse: welcome to jesse watters prime time, it tonight
