Breaking news on this manhunt for a suspect to open fire on a Kentucky Highway hitting one dozen cars and wounding five people over the weekend. Lets listen. I apologize but thank you for getting out as much information as you can. And correct information. This manhunt has become a methodical effort, like a hide and seek. We are focusing on protecting residents and their homes and the businesses during this crucial time. We want to apply steady pressure. The longer he is In The Woods, last night it got pretty chilly and today it has become humid and hot. Hopefully he has no Water And Nothing to eat and just time that we will wear him down, constant steady, helicopters flying over and drones flying over, dogs and srt In The Woods looking. Cars running up and down the interstate. Putting pressure on him. Hopefully he will eventually Walk Out Of The Woods and give himself up. Thats what we hope will happen in this scenario. We have utilized all kinds of technology in searching. We have helicopters, drones, special response teams not just from the kentucky State Police but the Law County Sheriffs Department with our special response team, the fbi, the atf, numerous local and smaller Agencies Volunteering their special response people to come and clearly if we continue to work together hopefully we will come out with a good resolution. This is a constant communication effort. People ask why are we going in there . This you have followed my facebook in the last Half Hour or so we have given you a photograph of the area. It is not like going over to this business and looking for someone in there. Its not like going to the Football Field and trying to find someone behind the bleachers. We are in the national forest. This is thousands and thousands of acres and i stated last night it is kind of like a jungle, it is a jungle. We have cliff beds, sinkholes, culverts that go under the interstate. We have creeks and rivers and the dense brush. It is not something i can take my dog for a walk through. Yes, there are paths but one looking for someone you have to go through those dense areas. We have to make sure no Raucous Unturned to find not just him but to find evidence and when you do these things with all the people involved you have to have communication. There is not a direct line when you first get there, even the first day when the fbi can talk to the State Police and the State Police talks to the state department. We had to do Grid Searches and finds her in areas where you will go and not track in behind Each Other and also you have to know who is to your left and to your right. And make sure they are safe. You go very slowly. Not just do you looking for him but also looking for evidence. Initially we were able to obtain some evidence that the Sheriff Department is working on and i will explain that. The Sheriffs Department is working the criminal Investigation Part of this. That means there was an active shooter on the interstate that harms people, shot people. They would be presenting this case to the attorney here in the county and if they think there is a federal charge they can step in and help the Sheriffs Department with that but the kentucky State Police along with the fbi, we are asked to step in to help with the Apprehension And Manhunt of mr. Couch. More boots on the ground right now. They initially got the complaint and they have worked tirelessly out there but they need a break and they need to go and investigate and get Search Warrants and go home and see their family and get a night of rest so they can think straight. That is why we utilize the kentucky State Police, i said last night, we had resources and kentucky State Commissioner that is amazing. He is going to get us the resources here in Law Laurel County to continue to look for mr. Couch tirelessly. Sometimes we hope that he is still in that area. We hope that we have them contained. But we all know they dont always and that way. We are going to continue, if our search gets broader or wider and it leads to more miles, we will go every day and try to find him. We have them entered in ncic, if he is walking down the road and some deputy in Madison County or even in tennessee gets out with him and see some guy wore down and fits the description, hopefully they will use caution. We have sent all the intelligent out to them, other agencies. They can say this guy fits the description, they can use cop should use caution. Maybe that is how we find him. We hope he is still there but he might not be. We are going to take all the leads, we want the citizens to call in on everything. If you see something that looks strange in your area where you live. Do you think that she is abandoning her progressive ideals . No, i dont think she is abandoning her ideals but trying to be pragmatic and doing what she thinks is right in order to win the election. Fracking is much safer today when it comes to water and compared to where they were five years ago. She has evolved with that and she knows that Natural Gas as part of our energy future. We have a huge influx of workers here. The Labor Secretary is right. When you look at what this debate will be, it will be the opportunity to see 2 candidates who have a fundamentally different through of what this country should look like. One believes we should not prosecute people who come into this country illegally and as a matter of fact we should have an open border, the only industrial country in the world that would have one. The other says lets build a wall, a big, Beautiful Wall and Put Americans first. There are clear policy differences. Not to candidates who see the world in the same view. Martha i think that has been clear clear. She has inched closer on a number of things. We should get her a hat the other day, i dont know if we would hear that or if she would consider that going low. Someone i just spoke with also a surrogate for the campaign, i asked him, this isnt working because the polls are so tight now and trump has gained a little bit in a number of the polls in recent days. It is not working for her not to be out there doing Press Conferences and speaking to the people and here is what he said. The american people dont actually realize how liberal Kamala Harris and tim walls are, this is an opportunity to highlight that so this notion that everyone will know who these two candidates are, the reality is early voting is starting very soon so it is not 60 days before people go to the ballot but much sooner. Does President Trump believe this might be his only opportunity to go toetotoe with her . And i would add we hope it isnt. We hope they do a debate with us here at fox as well. Kamala harris does not want to do that imploring the Joe Biden strategy of avoid all questions and try to make this a referendum not on Donald Trumps policies but on his personality.
