If you think about it women are the ones who were in charge of pretty much the budget and the household cared whether it is Buying Food or in terms of how hot the houses, how cool the house is, buying clothes for the kids for schools, school supplies. Tulsi gabbard is so right about this whole thing. There is so much that Donald Trump can talk about that appeals to women that is important to women to make sure that their kids are safe when they walk outside and then he can turn it around. They talked about her being the border czar. But to carls point they have put her out there like this is a new fresh face for you have not seen her closely tie herself to the biden policies. That equipment had been provided to Afghan Security Forces appropriately and with congressional approval over the course of two decades of war. That equipment was left by those afghan forces when they surrendered or stopped fighting. Five. There was no deception, lying, or lack of transparency by this administration either during or after the withdrawal. We did the best we could every day to keep the american people informed of what was happening. We conducted our own after Action Reports and share those with the public. John i do consider her a progressive which raises a number of questions that i wouldnt mind putting to you such as does she actually support a Ban On Fracking . I think Senator Sanders is right in terms of the evolution of a candidate who is running locally or in a different context now. She is running on the record of the President Of The United States and i believe that is a winning record. John she is running on that record but shes also running away from it and she is running away from her past positions. What sandra said raises another question. Will she go back to her original position on Decriminalizing Border Crossings . What do you think . No, i think she will support the agreement that was forged in the united States Congress which former President Trump killed basically. That was a step forward and it was a step that had support from both sides of the aisle in both chambers and i think that is the approach she will be supporting one elected President Of The United States. John one other position if Bernie Sanders thinks she is still a progressive. Will she go back to her original plan to ban private Health Insurance and nationalize Health Care in this country and provide illegal migrants with free Health Care . The fact of the matter is with Medicaid And Medicare, we have significant Health Care programs that are run by the government and the state and federal government locally so it is certainly a mixed approach to providing Health Insurance. I know what she cares about which is making sure that everyone in america does have coverage. You dont just have to be wealthy, you dont have to get Health Insurance from your job to be covered yourself. I think that is a point for many democrats. Its not a government sponsored program any more than Medicaid And Medicare is. John know what she wanted to get rid of private Health Insurance. Do you support that and do you think she will go back to that position . No. I think it is a mixed approach appeared we have a mixed economy there with respect to private insurance that layers on top of those two large government programs. Both in the case of medicare with Medicare Advantage and with many managed care programs for medicaid here in the state of delaware we have a mixed approach of making sure that every delaware inhouse Health Insurance when they need it. John she has an Issues Page up on her website now. But it really only seems in some degree to highlight the flipflops that she has had from her original policies. She was espousing back in 2019 everything from rejecting the Ev Mandate to a Border Wall to Decriminalizing Border Crossings but there isnt much on that on her issues website. How do you think she will be able to handle the fact that she is so drastically change. She has done 180s on a lot of this stuff. How will she be able to defend or explain her evolution if you will on these policies . I dont think theres going to be a lot of attention. Maybe for some, attention on those specific issues. Ive been knocking on doors all over our city recently and i dont hear much about any of those issues. I think it will be a question of style. I think her challenge is to hold her ground, to be consistent, and to lay out for the american people or at least the narrow portion of the american people who have not decided yet who they will support in the election. John i think with the former president was referring to is the idea that you go in with a plan until you get smacked in the face yourself and then you decide to go with a different plan. I dont think he was talking about punching her in the face. I think what it refers to is The Way he approaches these debates. He comes in with thinking about throwing punches in a Boxing Match one after another after another and you just really have to hold your ground with respect to your point of view. He has never debated someone like the Vice President Harris D i think she will be a very different person to deal with in that forum. John the judge in the trial of the man accused of murdering for University Of Idaho students has agreed to move the trial to a new venue. Bryan Kohbergers Team motion to move the trial last month saying it would be hard to find potential jurors without biased views of the case. Dan springer covered the investigation into the killings. We knew we had this hearing a week and a half ago where the defense was arguing that Bryan Kohberger could not get a fair trial. Accused of murdering four students at the University Of Idaho. He will not stand trial in that College Town. Judge John Judge has granted the Defense Motion to move the trial from Latah County. It is a big win for the defense which has argued from the beginning that he could not get a fair trial in moscow which is the College Town where the murders occurred in 2022 and only has about 30,000 people. His lawyers made the case for that News Coverage that News Coverage has been prejudicial and has made it impossible to see a fair and impartial jury. The decision to move the trial has angered the family of one of the victims. The lawyer for the parents of Kaylee Gonzalez issued a scathing Statement Today saying the only good thing about this decision is it will be judge judges last decision in the case. They felt that the judge has favored the defense throughout the proceedings. In granting the motion, the judge wrote in this order considering the undisputed evidence presented by the defense, the extreme nature of the News Coverage in this case and the smaller population of Latah County, the defense has met the rather low standard of demonstrating a reasonable likelihood that prejudicial News Coverage will compromise a fair trial in Latah County. The judge did not say where it will be held nor that he wants to stay on the trial so now the Idaho State Supreme Court will choose a new venue and assign a new judge. The trial is set for next June 2025 and is expected to last three months. It will probably be in Ewa County which is the largest county in the state by far. About 12 times bigger than Latah County and the County Seat there is boise and so it is likely that the Supreme Court in the coming days will announce a new judge and a new venue probably to ada county. Police say Joseph Couch is Armed And Dangerous after he shot at a dozen cars and injured five people on saturday night. Former Fbi Director Chris Swecker is standing by. The man they are looking for is 32yearold Joseph Couch. He served six year in the Army Reserve as a Combat Engineer and does not have a criminal record. Police say Saturday Morning he went to a local gunshot and legally bought an Ar15 Style Rifle and around 1,000 rounds of ammo. That Evening Couch climbed down a cliff overlooking the I75 Highway a few miles outside the small town of London Kentucky and started shooting at cars on the interstate. Investigators say he fired as many as 20 to 30 rounds hitting at least 12 cars in five people. For the Third Day now, Law Enforcement is searching thats rocky and hilly area that is so thickly forested that officers say they need machetes and its like walking through a jungle. Schools have been closed, churches canceled and everyone there is being asked to stay inside for their own safety. This is according to the New York times. Authorities found a small suv registered to mr. Couch at the top of a hill near the interstate and an Ar15 Rifle some distance from the vehicle. A phone was also found but the battery was removed. It seems that the suspect dumped his gear and ran. It does sound like that. I believe they also found an ar15 and the car if im not mistaken. They found it nearby. This is an incredibly difficult and dangerous manhunt. Probably the most difficult. I managed the Eric Rudolph Manhunt in very similar terrain. Ours might have been a little bit more mountainous but the problem is he will see you before you see him. Theres a high likelihood of apprehension. He wont get out of it alive but those that are searching for him with those machetes through those high risk areas, if you will, they will get seen first. He is going to get caught, he is very likely to be armed even though we found the ar15 laying around in the woods somewhere. I pray for these officers for this is a very dangerous manhunt. John you said he wont get out of it alive. I expect to say he wont get away with it. No, he is suicidal. He mentioned in a text that he was going to kill a lot of people and then go kill himself. We dont have any credible sightings outside of that area. I think there is a high likelihood, weve seen this before of either a suicide or a suicide by cop or he is going to force shes going to have a shootout with whoever comes in close quarters with him. John we know it took five years to capture Eric Rudolph but he wasnt looking to kill himself peered he was looking to escape justice. I want to ask you about the shooting in georgia because we have more detail here. The Shooters Mother said she called the school that Wednesday Morning to alert them of an extreme emergency. The Washington Post says the Phone Log Text and interviews provide the strongest indications yet that the officials and Apalachee High School were alerted to concerns about the suspect and may have been looking for him in the minutes before he allegedly killed four people and injured nine with an Ar15 Style Rifle. That call lasted about 10 minutes according to his mother it was at 950 in the morning about a half an hour before the shooting started. She says she talked to the School Counselor. It would appear that the school was aware that there was a pending emergency. It sounds like they were. That 10 minutes is a long time and you can get a lot of detailed information out of a call like that. The mistake was they went looking for him and his classroom and they found the wrong child or the wrong student and took him out. I dont want to be critical of the School Year because it looks like they had a very effective lockdown program. Some teachers reacted effectively. It sounds like someone just didnt pay any attention to detail here in a situation where details are extremely critically important. They finally went looking for him, supposedly, but he was already shooting at that point. I do School Security assessments and these quick threat assessments, you need to act on it very quickly. With the details. John i just know from personal experience that the school going to find somebody often they are hamstrung by the fact that there is almost 2,000 students at that school, was he in the restroom, we dont know where he went but he mightve gone out to get the rifle wherever he had it secretly. His mother said this. I was the one that notified the School Counselor at the high school. I told them it was an extreme emergency and for them to go immediately and find him to check on him. As you pointed out, it is likely they did try to find him but couldnt. But also we learned that his parents, the shooters parents and the school were in communication a week prior to that about his Mental Health. I dont know what mightve come out of that conversation but if you have a kid who in Jackson County was threatening to shoot up his Middle School and then he is alerted or the school is alerted he has some Mental Health issues and the parents call and say there is an extreme emergency, somewhere in that chain you would think there might have been an opportunity to prevent this from happening. Thats three alerts there. They had an effective lockdown but one of the most important things that can happen in a school is this quick threat assessment process. A quick reaction process. He should have been on not a Watch List if you will because that does not exist in the School System but they should have been very much aware of him and as soon as his name popped up they should have been able to react much more quickly than they did unfortunately.
