We had to go major pieces of economic data, they both came in less than expected, selling got a lot worse. Whats going on . We have been discussing this for a while. We are in a seasonally weak at time of year. Starts in august and runs through october. We have the ongoing Israeligaza Conflict creating more issues. A president ial election, a slowing of potentially slowing global economy as well as slowing u. S. Economy. Oil disruptions around the world in libya. You have a lot of things that are coming together. As you and i both know we have been talking about this. I was surprised august and it is strong as it did but it did and today is the first day after a long weekend. You have people away from their desk and you have negative commentary coming out of Jpmorgan And Blackstone today talking about Nvidia And Tec and the Ai World and where they thought some of the issues were going to be. Now you more focused on the payroll reports. We are supposed to only get 106 to 5,000 new jobs which is fairly weak. If it comes in and every thing is good if it comes in significantly weaker, theyre going to wrap up the conversation and say we are going off the edge we need immedimmediate Rate Cuts i thins with the argument is going to be although i dont see that, i dont think we do. 25 is fine. I think everyone is getting all up and anxious for no reason. Charles there is a history when the economy slows down particularly the labor market, its sort of like the sun also rises, ernest hemingway. How did it happen . Suddenly you fall off a cliff. The anxiety to your point is building, what about that the fed may not have their finger on the pulse was met that lasted Jobs Report that was a dud the market sold off and everyone said the fed doesnt know what its doing. I think there has been a Building Lack of confidence because people have been screaming for Rate Cuts may and june the fed kept saying they were okay it looked like they were fine. When the investors and traders get anxious and function on mathematical formulas, they started breaking certain Support Points or trendlines it adds the anxiety. Are people going to say the fed is behind the eight ball . I think some of them certainly are. Do i think there behind the eight ball . I do not. Were going to get 25 Rate Cuts this year i think theyre going to force this issue and getting everyone worked up ahead of that number. If it comes in we are expecting 165 theyre going to start with this we are going off the edge and if the fed cuts by 50 Basis Points you and i both know that sends a very different message to the markets. That sends the message we missed this, now we have to play quick catch up. They are going to stay the course and go 25, they cant get pushed around otherwise they lose complete credibility and to your point i think there are people who have already lost credibility. And i think theyre in your question more importantly because if we had two candidates that were running for the president s, running for presidency who had not been in office before our were somehow fresh and new, then they might listen to each side saying things about the other sides forces. We dont have that. We have two candidates running for president , one was president until four years ago for a single term of 4year. Man, one who has been Vice President since then. So voters can compare records, they dont just have to listen to what other sites are promising are what they are saying about each other, they can actually look at their own experience of what happened during those two terms. And again, we can argue about the Pros And Cons and who did what and whether the pollsters were right, but they can look at that 4year period where it was up until the pandemic and they sell rising incomes and they saw low Interest Rates and they saw inflation essentially at zero, and they look at the three and half maybe four years of Kamala Harris and lacey of 20 , Interest Rates up 5 , and they see real wages decline, and i think no amount of Advertising And Persuasion by Kamala Harris will persuade people that the Bidenharris Administration has meant better economically than the trump administration. Charles do you find it ironic, wealthy folks, top ten, top 20 have done so well under this administration because of all of the money they pour into the economy . We know its going to go to the bottom line of corporations that helps Wall Street and the rich folks out there own stocks and bonds and homes have done extraordinarily well. Yes, i think about this, its going to cost of all, we see democrats do this a lot, they say this is been very, very good, the Trump Economy was good for the rich coming of heard them saying that trump was going to text him and cut taxes for the rich, he cut taxes for everybody in 2017. So they are trying to measure to say here is promises not to raise taxes on people thats a 400,000 a year. But people saw what happened four years ago, they saw an economy that was growing strongly, helped by a tax cut, helped by strong levels of investment and they dont see that for the last four years and i dont think that the Class Message or the message that somehow Donald Trump will make you poor resignations. Charles it gets back also to the argument of can we as a Nation Pull ourselves up by the bootstraps . But as of today we dont have a date and you know, so, maybe they dont need us. Maybe they think they dont need us or want to come talk to us. But people asked me the question over the last week why dont you just endorse Kamala Harris . And i said it simple, i dont hire someone and then give them an interview. Look, Kamala Harris has been pushing the Union Support Line as she speeches to anyone where she lapsed into a interesting southern accent and talks about the great things that unions have done for ordinary americans and american workers. When it comes to uaw in particular evidence you know, this administration that follows policies and Kamala Harris is committed to continuing them have not been in the interest of most of the workers in this country and they want to look at all kinds of restrictions on traditional Combustion Engine cars, we know that those are the standards they have introduced and they want to phase out a lot of the large parts of the u. S. Car market, the Fossil Fuel based car market. That the unions arent stupid, they know thats going to cause tremendous disruption to the Car Industry and will benefit probably foreign makers like electric vehicle makers and they know that thats not in the interest of american workers are american Car Workers and aunt unsurprisingly they are not going to run when Kamala Harris calls them and bakes further support.
