For laura ingraham and this is a special edition of the ingraham angle. One week from today, the first ballots for presidential election will go out, the stakes could not be higher. And if you were wondering what kamala harris' day one priorities were. Her first interview provided little clarity. If you are elected, what would you do on day one in the white house? well, there are a number of things. I will tell you first and foremost, one of my highest priorities is to do what we can to support and strengthen the middle class. What would you do day one? day one it's going to be about, one, implementing my plan for what i call an opportunity economy. I already laid out a number of proposals in that regard. Which include what we are going to bring down the cost of everyday goods. Kayleigh: so vague, no answers. I was wondering what happened to this. Kamala used to be crystal clear about her day one priorities. On day one we are going to repeal that tax bill. On day one we are going to repeal that tax bill. On day one we are going to repeal that tax bill. On day one we are going to repeal that tax bill. Kayleigh: well, that tax bill also known as the trump tax cuts, actually benefit dollars all income brackets according to heartland institute analysis of irs tax data. In fact, listen to this. Americans making between $15,000 and $50,000 received a tax cut between 16 to 2 #%. And those making between 50,000 and 100,000 received a tax break of 15 to 17% sound pretty good. So much for not taxing the middle class. Who is the real kamala harris? is the kamala we saw last night vows to strengthen the middle class through socialist price controls or the kamala who wants to take your money and tax the middle class into owe billyian? and check out this humble harris brag from last night. One of your campaign themes is we're not going back. But i wonder what you say to voters who do want to go back when it comes to the economy specifically? groceries was less expensive and housing. What we came in we did what we could to rescue america. Today we know we have inflation under 3%. A lot of our policies have led to the reality that america recovered faster than any wealthy nation around the world that was kamala harris bragging she brought down inflation to a higher level than it was during the trump administration. Trump handed bidenharris 1. 4 inflation rated now it's up 2. 9% after hitting 9. 1%. That's a 40year high. Quite noticeable that grocery prices are gone up probably like 40% in the last couple years. Fuel prices go up. The price of everything goes up. It's ridiculous. What can you get for $100 before now it's like $300 instead. It's really bad. We all know prices are too high. Kamala harris has admitted repeatedly on the campaign trail and even during last night's interview but here is the most important path tore republicans. Tying kamala harris to the bidenharris economy. Revealing bloomberg morning consult poll just dropped and it highlights what the g. O. P. Must do. The poll shows, quote: that swing state voters' perceptions of the economy haven't drastically improved since harris took over at the top of the ticket a majority of respondents say they were better off under trump. Here's the cash. Voters appear less likely to hold harris responsible for the economic insecurities that playing biden. Well, the fact is, kamala harris was one of the architects of bidenomics. She was the tiebreaking vote for trillions in spending that lit the raging fire of inflation that unleashed hell on the american families, she cannot escape her role in our country's economic maladies so, how can the trump campaign hold her accountable? that's the question. Joining us now kevin o'leary, chairman of o'leary venture. Kevin, i thought of you when i watched this interview. Because you told me, you know, i'm a businessman. A job creator. What about the whole thing with inflation who owns that? everybody agreed about that what about gaza? we wanted more information on that. Fracking was a really weird outcome on that because it's that was like and the fourth question was, you know, through your campaign, you talked about socialized medicine in 2020, 2019? how about now? everybody wants the answers to these five questions. Finally, if you think you put your tax policy in place, make us the most uncompetitive nation in earth hurt capital coming into the country? even the left and the right and the independents in this tiny little group agreed, let's get answers to those questions. We got none. None. It was more happy talk about the convention slipping over. Pictures of the kids don't shoot the messenger maybe she can't do a interview live with follow on questions. I'm not bashing dana bash i think she asked questions. There weren't any followups. Maybe she can't do it. And that's why we are in this crazy situation unprecedented in an election cycle where the candidate that wants to be the number one ceo of the country, the president, can't do an interview live? come on! like i don't know what that was. But we didn't get any answers. So, i would love the pictures of the kids and the kum ba yah. But you can't kum ba yah your way and lead the country. I don't think it's going to work all about the vibes. We are supposed to love the vibes. All of this polling shows people are not connecting kamala to bidenomics, to the biden economy. How does the trump campaign change that? she was the tiebreaking vote for inflation. Look, i think every election is tight and this one is very, very tight. Let's talk michigan and 100,000 muslims. Do you think her answers on gaza got any of those people back on side? i don't think so. That was a state won by 20, 30,000 votes. She has got to get those people back. She didn't answer that question. You got to answer the question i don't want to be partisan. I'm saying i'm seeing what i'm seeing. I'm saying she is not answering questions. She should get out tomorrow morning and do five interviews with you and four other reporters. And answer these questions. And then we'll find out her cadence. This is the kind of family we got i said did she answer any questions? she said no, she didn't she will do it next week. Bring it. Do it next week. Let's go. We only have 60some days to the election. I want answers. Everybody wants answers. And she can't do it. She can't do that, america needs to know. And, remember, 60 days before the last election, when n. A contest with hillary, she was the undisputed winner what happened? 60 days is a long time. She owns the border. She owns gaza. She is the administration. She has to either distance herself that fracking answer, that really bothered me. I'm an energy investor. She wants the votes in wisconsin. She wants pennsylvania. She flip flopped for those two states. I'm troubled. I think it's disingenuous. I really think that. Kayleigh: i do want to play this for you because i guess you could say this was the specific we got her housing plan, i mean, it's the most specific we saw her. Let's watch. What we need to do to bring down the cost of housing. My proposal includes what would be a tax credit of $25,000 for first time home buyer so they can just have enough to put a down payment on the home which is part of the american dream. Kayleigh: kevin, look, i feel deeply for gendz i can't imagine be a first time home buyer and staring down homes with huge interest rates is that the plan that will work? i got two gen zers in my family right now they looked at that and said wait a second, if you give everybody free money, you're just going to cause inflation. Only one home for sale, the seller is getting the $25,000 by raising $25,000. I have been very vocal about this policy. I'm in the real estate business. It's an immensely bad idea, incredibly bad idea. I think somebody should talk them out of it. I would like to interview her on that idea i at this point in time live. I want to do that interview. Your thoughts? let me begin with when you have a concerned citizen call you as governorrive got to listen and investigate. I think that's one of the big steps that governors take and on top of that. We have moved aggressively to make sure that we're doing everything we can to keep virginians safe. I have to say that when i came in, kayleigh, virginia was at 20 year high in murder rate. And we went at the work and, guess what? when you raise salaries and invest in training and equipment and b back the blue, you get moe badges on the street and crime goes down. Arrests of drug dealers up 18% in our 13 most violent cities which we have partnered with in an operation called bold blue line we saw 36% decrease in murder rate. We can do this. We do understand one basic principle, which is we have to have more police on the street. We have to have collaboration in state and local resources. The most importantly, when we arrest you, you are going to jail. Kayleigh: those are big moves. I want to ask you about the economy. Big topic last night in kamala harris' interview. You might have heard at the top of our show. In virginia, i was encourage to do so see 10,000 new startups. Cnbc ranked virginia number one in the economy for business. What should the g. O. P. Do to combat kamala harris when she says i'm for the middle class with virtually no footnotes to say how she is going to improve the middle class? well, let's just begin with the fact that she has been in office for three and a half years. And everything that she's done to the middle class has made it harder, harder for americans and harder for virginians. Two thirds, 66% of americans are living paycheck to paycheck. She was the one that signed the legislation over and over again that unleashed inflation on america like we haven't seen in years. It's a gut punch any time anybody in virginia or around the country goes to the grocery store to fill up their gas tank to try to buy a house or to pay the rent. And that is just the realities. And i do think that this constant effort from kamala harris to change the narrative completely and to ignore the real track record that she has and, by the way, the real statements that she has made just begs the question, you know, is she asking america to believe her or believe their lyin' eyes? and americans and virginians know what they know. They felt it in their wallet and we have seen run way prices and they want something different. I know because i see it in virginia all the time folks want an economy that works for them. When we came in virginia was bottom third in job growth and now we are top 10 every year. We have had record job growth. We have had record investment in companies. We have streamlined regulation. And as a result we have seen record number of people working and i tell you, when you have high numbers of people working, you have record receipts into the states, can you take those receipts and provide tax relief and invest record amounts in education and in law enforcement then it works. In the '80s and '90s, there wasn't quite the political overlay. No. That we see today. I know, it's funny that you bring that up because, when i was a young girl, my i grew up in a liberal democratic household. And yet my parents were friends with republicans and the bloomingdales were friends of theirs through their parents and so on and whatever. Anyway, so if they went to a lot of parties and the parties were mixed. There were actors who were democrats and republicans and politicians and whomever and they would go to these parties. And i found that people could interact with each other socially, and it wasn't going to change their friendships. And i find that very different now. Kayleigh: can't wait to watch that. On to this. The 2024 ad war is well under way. Each week of the campaign we will dissect them, republican and democrat and issue our own report cards. Joining me now is perry silling, president of the american principles project. Terry, let's jump right in with this trump ad. It looked like this was filmed by everyday americans. I am not with kamala harris. I am not with her. I am not for kamala. I am for donald trump. I am not with kamala. I am not with her because she is not with me. Kayleigh: so, terry, what's the grade? i give it an aminus, kayleigh. Thank you so much for having me. This ad is really smart because it gives these types of voters, democratleaning voters, permission to vote for president trump, and i love how authentic it is. It's not overly doctored and overly produced. It's if cell phones and web cams. It's very, very good. Kayleigh: love it. The everyday americans, they were the best part of the republican national convention. Noticeably not a lot of stories there at the d. M. C. For everyday americans, but let's move on speaking of the democrats to kamala. Her approach here is to talk about everyday issues. When i am elected president, i will make it a top priority to bring down costs. I will fight to give money become to working and middleclass americans. Kayleigh: terry, what say you? i give that ad an a. It's very good for two reasons. It tells voters what she's going to do in office to alleviate their economic burdens, and also it addresses the elephant in the room, which is that she is a vapid candidate that's running on describes and not policies. It goes right to the core. Kayleigh: yes. She could use some footnotes but i know footnotes are meant pour for position papers. I would love to see some of those. Terry, this has gone viral. I've seen it all over social media. In fact my dad sent it to me. This is from nicole shanahan, r. F. K. , jr. 's former running mate. Not an official ad but it's this viral video. Are you or your loved ones suffering from illnesses such as t. D. S. , also known as trump derangement syndrome? are you willing to elect someone who was the least you might be struggling from t. D. S. . Independence allows you the freedom to finally think independently once again. Kayleigh: what grade does tds get? these are all great ads. I give it an a because that is an ad that is going to get shared by a lot of people, republicans mostly and will send it to all their votes and goes against media narratives. Kayleigh: this one may not get an a. Senator jon tester trying to seem relatable. Watch. [ ♪♪ ] as you can see, this is riverview barbershop. Where i get my $12 cuts. New man. That should last me 'til september, for god's sakes. It definitely won't. Haha. Come on. Kayleigh: i mean, are we supposed to forget all his lib r liberal policies because he got a haircut? i gave this one a d. This is a terrible ad. He has been a senator in montana for 18 years. It doesn't tell voters anything that he's going to do to alleviate their economic concerns, and it reinforces the message that most voters i think probably already know. I don't know what he's trying to get across by talking about $12 haircuts. Kayleigh: that's pretty brutal. I mean devil's advocate here, just a few seconds. Do you think, like, someone relates to that and says this guy's like me? i don't think so. Look, i mean, at this point, you know, most barbershops would be better off putting a sign in their windows saying we fix $12 haircuts. Kayleigh: perry, thank you. That's it for us tonight. I'm kayleigh mcenany in for laura. Catch y'all next week. [ ♪♪ ] [ ♪♪ ]
