>> having conversations about what they should do about it. should we go to the white house and asked the president to step aside? other conversations are about should prominent democrats go public with that call, because they feel this debate was so terrible? >> they have inherited from members of congress, i have heard it from people who have worked many democratic campaigns. people along those lines. what do we do now? and he still be replaced? >> you are going to hear discussions that i don't know will lead to anything. there are going to be discussions on whether he should continue. >> conversations range from whether he should be in this race to what was wrong with him. >> that people who were texting with me where very concerned about president biden's seeming extremely feeble, extremely weak. joe biden's job was to reassure them tonight. his job was to calm his party, to make them feel that yes, i can do this. i have 4 more use in me. i have the ability and the stamina and the strength to do . he did not do that. he did the opposite of that. >> i think there are a lot of people who want to see him consider taking a different course now. >> outs. first lady joe biden said she was not watching television before the debate. that's out they were not watching after. that's not what a sitting president running for reelection was to hear. now there appears to be total chaos at the white house. she is hearing from the white house that conversations are happening that but all options on the table. white house officials told cnn that biden has no plans to drop out. >> there are no plans i am told for the president to drop out of the race. even further than i am told that the president is still committed to a second debate in september -- which is currently sales -- hosted by abc news. much along the line of the rules of the debate that was hosted last night. the advisor that i spoke with said they are not putting too much stock in the conversation last night. many of the staffers on the campaign and in the white house also worked on president obama's reelection in 2012 and tried to draw the parallel to that first debate that was a very low performance by president obama. even he would call it a stinker. if you had believed abundance in the wake of that debate, mitt romney would have been president after that. >> tammy, that is not fox's reporting. it is see an end that he's doubling down on a second debate. reading the tea leaves, this is a white house and chaos. you probably official white house sources telling cnn we are in this and some white house person going rogue telling caddy case at all options might not -- >> very well-respected longtime bbc hose. you have individuals who have those relationships which would have to be long time relationships. you have beds in "the new york times" saying he's got to go. people on cable television. people who are so loyal normally to him and the democrats that they push the russia hoax theory at the expense of their own reputations and their own futures. they did it. by this tells you is there is a disconnect completely with the biden administration and the campaign. they had no idea what to expect last night. everyone was shocked enough. the fact that they are saying this publicly indicates that they can't get it into the white house privately. there is a break in the conversation completely. that tells you how much chaos there really is. >> also what is happening on the hill. she overheard someone say, they never knew james clyburn could run that fast. able to track him down and asked him quite a few questions. he said stay the course. nancy pelosi was moving quite fast before she actually got a comment. i talked to him on the phone. he has a source that says both have reserved comment on biden. jeffries wants to wait until after the rally today. hakeem jeffries did say on camera that it was off-camera, i stand behind that ticket. the point is there is a muddled messaging and congressman running around. no one is in charge. it seems like a party in chaos. >> their leader is performing the way -- for a lot of people, if you don't watch fox news, this is breaking news. you haven't heard this story. if you watch this network, you have seen the daily drumbeat of this incompetency. remember, every one of those democrats in the house or on the ballot with joe biden. of joe biden voters don't show up, they don't get to get there. there is a lot of chatter right now. should he be the nominee and city dropout? i started something with the heritage foundation. the oversight project. 4 months ago, we started doing a state-by-state analysis. you can simply drop off the ballot. democrats don't have an automatic slot in every state that they can swap out the names. that's not the way this works. >> some say it would be easy to put him in the convention if he steps aside. there were these state rules. >> a lot of states, you have to die to be taken off the ballot. >> you are a democrat on the accounts. i have to get your reaction to last night. >> i was on a plane back from israel overnight watching this with 13 democratic political operatives. we were all watching it on the wi-fi on our phones. you can see him start to look at each other and thinks, okay. we were nervous. this isn't what we thought was going to happen. biden had a bad night. associate myself with a lot of the comments. i think joe biden has good days and bad days. he had a great state of the union. that wasn't that long ago. but he is older, as is donald trump. today we went democrats are thinking are a few things. number one, if there was any talk about him bowing out -- jason brings up messy legal questions which are a different issue. we have a lot of young people who want to be president. there is some downside to a messy process. >> one democrat told her it would have to be a combination telling him to stand down. political playbook would say it would have to be broader, family members. >> i think there is one person, and his jill biden. i think it is no one else. i think she encouraged him to run. democrats think he had a bad night. they think he is a very good man and has been a very good president. need to donald trump once. he had a bad night. democrats will still be posing today that donald trump is a bad man. he was a bad president. he did not win that debate. he said a ton of things that were untrue and crazy things. i would say joe biden lost the debate. i wouldn't say that donald trump one. the polling we get out of this. a lot of people have actually baked in biden's age. they have seen the rnc tweets. a lot of people have baked in this caricature that he is people. i will be curious how much this changes the independent notes. >> in less than 20 minutes, biden is expected to take the stage in north carolina. i don't know why you are doing it in the noon hour after you've had a candidate up until nearly midnight. imagine the amount of force it would take to change the conversation from the one that democrats are having right now. not just people in conservative media. these are his most loyal supporters. they are the one say enough is enough. it's time to close this chapter. they are asking themselves, how did we get here? how does president biden change the narrative? what is president trump going to say about another debate? that is what they are turning in for. for those trump supporters, he played the hits. >> there was some interesting sound from lara trump -- who is trump's vp? this is what she had to say. >> maybe, maybe not. we play it pretty close and the trump family. he has told some people. >> a bit of news there. >> i think the list is deep. i think marco rubio is probably near the top of that. the other one is a wild card is john ratcliffe. he has a great relationship. he's the director of national intelligence. former congressman and former u.s. attorney. i am telling you come he's going to play a big role in the administration if trump wins. >> i think whoever it is going to be needs a spine and loyal and understand washington, d.c. i have always liked nikki haley. i don't know if she can fit into that thing about always having his back. that is going to be key. we expect that. i would like to see ron desantis. i think that is an unbeatable team. i think president trump can get over any anger he has had about people who wanted more, perhaps. were not always saying the right things. he has shown us that he can. >> the question i ask every democrat, which a vp candidate do you fear most?
