[laughter] hope rings eternal. >> you have to. but at the end of the day i don't think politics will play into it. there could be some logistical issues the judge may consider and if he will impose incarceration it will be house arrest. as a former president he has security detail how can you put a former president in prison? imagine the logistics everything that can certainly be an implication for the judge. something for him to consider it could be the logistical nightmare putting the former president in jail. that doesn't mean that will stop him from doing so but a creative way to do a house arrest. t15 keep that confidence as well. thank you very much. >> always a pleasure. >> and so the daniel, political reporter play out the possibility of the former president spending some time in jail. it seems unfathomable even from the political side that it would only help the president. what do you think? >> i definitely agree. he now calls himself a political prisoner. he hasn't been sentenced to any jail time or spent any real time in prison, but he can use that as rocket fuel to his supporters to raise more money from it. so democrats are really hoping that the judge may be sentences them to community service and maybe in a few years the media would be watching him clean up garbage on the street from new york. neil: each one places through their politics and there's money coming into the trump campaign. and they are looking at raising 150 million off of this since the guilty verdict is coming down. is that a reflection of more support within the party or coming from outside the party? sat is crucial because a lot of people feel that once you are stuck with the stigma of conviction that things change. it's not such an easy walk back to the white house. >> if you look at the last few states we have talked about, 20 percent of some voters in pennsylvania, republican voters were voting for nikki haley during this time of the trial. they will not be happy with a felony conviction. everyone has to look at them in the mere do we want a felon in the oval office? they may say i don't think this was the strongest case. maybe political persecution. but that's why we have a jury system for 12 regular people to decide and look at the evidence fairly. so in terms of negotiation with foreign leaders people may not want a convicted felon on one side and vladimir putin on the other. neil: it's interesting the way you framed that. a lot of people look at this and say they don't get into these details or draw a distinction between someone being indicted or very different court cases that are likely to be adjudicated. they know this is a president who has the goal run-ins with the other party and they may see this as the other party piling on and not draw a distinction if convicted on anything? >> if he was acquitted i'm sure he would be saying this totally proved i was innocent. neil: good point. >> 10 percent of republicans are in and a poll saying he would not vote for trump because of this. lot of the support has been younger voters, voters of color who is not been on the trump trains and stay number one. they say -- -- they see a conviction like this and say this gives me second thoughts. some young voters were not paying attention to the news during the trump administration so this gives them a fresh taste of chaos they may see if trump was reelected in november. neil: how does this sort out? does it? >> i think the debate is important. was interesting to me is some democrats think the biden campaign is making a mistake by not playing up the conviction as much as they could be. whether that features campaign ads, convicted felon donald trump in every add. if they don't, and they still lose democrats will say this may have made a difference. neil: thank you so much. from "politico" brilliant. in the meantime we are looking at the launch of the rocket not far from that is the atlantic ocean. florida is looking at a very busy hurricane season. looking at more than two dozen named storms and half of those could be category three or higher. that looks ominous as the warm ocean waters that will feed that. after this. this southern us not towards the north part of the us. but we are probably not going to see the storms off sure that we saw last year we had a very active season coming probably some more storms impacting the us. you make preparations now. when the storm is coming ask you with the resources and have the evacuation plan and all that the things do it now. >> not only knew storms but severe storms. there is no way to say it. >> i don't do that. there is no way we don't have an active season that has us impacts from the storms and there is a lot of people that live along the coast. so you may be new to this and not know what it means. you need to know your evacuation route know who to talk to to get the right information for your local area. make a plan of where you will go. you need to do this with the storm coming at you within a few days the resources get them all you need them while it's easier to get into not fighting with everybody else for the stuff. neil: very good point that you are bumming us out. all wise words. thank you. he is the best at what he does. in the meantime fox weather is your hurricane headquarters all season long. it will be busy and active. and you can use #hurricane headquarters or hq to join in the conversation. looking at the fellow human beings. after the near miss incident at american airlines this past weekend. and we will get details how close that was after this. >> go around. go around. >> we cannot go around we're >> we cannot go around we're already on the ground. . the answer is j.p. morgan wealth management. pods spring moving sale has been extended! save up to 25% on moving and storage until june 10th... and see why pods has been trusted with over 6 million moves. don't wait, use promo code 25now to save. book at pods.com today. neil: now having a plan to do with the incidence you have heard so much about. >> boeing has admitted the much-anticipated safety plan to the faa this past thursday to review it more importantly boeing has been getting hammered since january with a door plug blowing off a brand-new 737 max nine shortly after takeoff. the ntsb says the four bolts to keep the door on were missing. whistleblowers were testifying on capitol hill saying boeing has a number of safety problems and a culture that punishes people for speaking up about them. boeing has denied that. nonetheless the company acknowledges and needs to do a better job to clean up problems to regain the public was confidence. with one or two weeks of training for new hires to give a mentor when they hit the production floor. current workers given proficiency assessment also cutting back on traveled work which is work left undone by a supplier then done out of sequence during final assembly. that's what happened with the door plug fiasco. the head of the faa says it's just a start. >> we -underscore they must follow through with corrective actions and transform the safety culture. this is a guide for a new way for boeing to do business. >> whitaker also said the faa was not close to being ready to lift the production cap on the 737 max line. set up 38 per month slowing production down for a lot of reasons trying to be too cozy over the years is looking for real and sustained progress on quality and safety and boeing for his part once the same th thing. neil: thank you earlier there was this incident. >> . >> go around. >> we cannot go around we're already on the ground. >> . >> that was a close call and averted at just the last second. it does raise questions when the flying public hears about this. what is going on?
