They yelled shame on you as President Bidens motorcade happened, people pretending to be dead on, in the street thes, on the sidewalks. As you see in the background, people in dresses, members of the media going in to the event space. Somebody also rented a hotel room, i believe its that building in the background, its a hotel overlooking the hilton, the venue where the dinner was held, and they Unfirm Furled unfirmed a Big Palestinian Flag if. This, to me, its something thats happening across the country. It also underscores a major issue within President Bidens campaign right now. He made some lighthearted jokes inside, it was a lighthearted evening, but outside a lot of scenes of anger at how this war is going. Pete yeah. I dont, i still dont understand why we cant just remove people that are blocking traffic, why thats difficult for any carley there was one arrest that was made. Pete wow. Okay. The National Weather Service Office has been so incredibly busy, and we have9 another one going. This right now is the storm, you see all of that lightning associated with this thunderstorm, nothing tornadic. Nothing really even severe at this point, but its pretty slow moving, and theres a lot of moisture with this. Flooding is going to be our big concern over the next 612 hours or so right here across parts of eastern oklahoma, maybe towards parts of southwestern missouri as well. Severe threats exist, the Storm Prediction Centers upped it a little bit, you see this bulls eye of darker color, we could be seeing tornadoes again. Watch for this. I think once the light comes up, a little bit of heating into the atmosphere, thats when well see some of these storms fire. So watch for potential tornadoes, definitely some wind threat, definitely the hail threat again. This is day or four, guys. After this weve got at least a couple of days break. In the ivy league, the president of upenn is calling for protesters to disband as the protest at columbia enters with its 12th day today. And one of the climate activists accused of smearing paint on the case protecting the famous Little Dancer Sculpture Last Year has now been sentenced. The suspect will spend 60 days in prison after pleading guilty to causing injury to a National Gallery of art a exhibit. Part of her Community Service includes 10 hours of cleaning graffiti. They pulled my carryon bag, started going through it, searching it. I didnt think much of it because my wifes makeup kit was in there. I figured it was some, you know, fluid if or something that was in her bag. After, you know, taking everything out, putting it back through the xray scanner several times, they extracted a small package that contained four rounds of Hunting Ammunition that i use commonly while deer hunting. And we were, been arrested, remanded to the island. And then monday of this past week my wife was able to return home to our kids. I was charged and put in jail. Finish. Carley gosh. So this is a relatively new law in Turks And Caicos, right, ryan, where youre youre not allowed to have ammunition in your bag. Youre a legal gun owner, a hunter, you say this was a total mistake. Yes, maam. I had zero idea that those bullets were in there and, you know, ive always considered myself to be a responsible gun owner. Ive always, you know, taught my Kids Gun Safety and, you know, been able to teach my 9yearold boy and take him hunting quite a bit. And its always been something that ive been very strict about. But, you know, were human, we make mistakes, and it was just an oversight. I never, never saw those bullets in there, and, you know, unfortunately not only missed by me, but by tsa. Carley valerie, first of all, youre on the screen together. When was the last time you were able to see each other in person . Monday. Monday morning. Finish. Carley you were able to see each other on monday. You were arrested. You were released from prison on tuesday. This is the all so new. The shock of this, the worry, valerie, whats going through your mind right now . I think theres just a lot of unknowns right now, and i think thats probably the most worrisome of all because continue really know what to tell the kids and they ask how long dads going to be gone. You know, weve been praying a lot, and we have a lot of faith and we know that this is part of gods plan for us, and we are just doing do our to, you know, keep going ask just keep praying because thats all we can do. Were kind of just in a Waiting Phase right now, and its been, its been kind of difficult. Carley put your faith in god. This is he can do incredible things. And, ryan, your next court date is june 7th, so whats going to happen . What are the chances that youll be able to come home and avoid this jail sentence . Yeah, i have whats called a Sufficiency Hearing on june the 7th. That date is, you know, the Sufficiency Hearing, theres a good chance that that could get waived. Ive started telling people, you know, the date that everything hinges on is this friday. [inaudible] goes on trial may the 3rd x since this new law was passed down, this is going to be the first case thats been tried, and, you know, how they try his case, how they sentence him carley this is somebody else, ryan . Youre talking about another american that was arrested for having ammunition in his bag as well, is that right . Yes, maam. Thats brian. He was arrested in february. Carley so its happening to more than just you. Has anybody, ryan, from the United States government reached out to you in are you getting any help from the State Department . Clearly, this Turks And Caicos law when it was put in place, it wasnt intended for you. This is obviously a mistake. Yeah. We are getting support from our local officials. Mark Wayne Mullins has been an absolute blessing to our family as well as brian hendrick. Hes really taken him under his wing and led e the charge to have some conversations. Same as governor stitt. Weve yet to hear much from the State Department, you know . Were in, you know, were in prayer that as more families are getting drug into this, you know, third husband arrested just this week ask and hes still in prison. So were prayerful that, you know, as more families are getting drug into this nightmare, that the state Department Might take more action and get more involved in this conversation. Does this look like the type of persecution that,s say, maybe christians, other religious groups have faced elsewhere in the world . Oh, 100 . First of all, thank you so much for having me on. Well, ive personally escaped from china when i was 12, and to be exact, oppression always starts with hatred, and hatred always time can and time again a lot of times in history started with antisemitism. And that is what were seeing on our College Campus right now, right in front of us, and its very sad. Pete no doubt. You cant go a minute without Hearing A Chant or being confronted by this kind of stuff. Sabrina, youre jewish. Have you felt threatened directly or indirectly . What kind of environment is George Washington university allowing . Yeah. So, again, thank you forking having me. And i personally for having maine i personally, i think this has been going on for way too long. This has been 20 years in the making. Ive been threatennenned not even now. Two years back ive been threatened by these same sorts of students. And at first, you know, i didnt feel safe, i really didnt. I remember one night i was, like, shaking in my bed at, like, midnight [laughter] because with i heard that there were some students who were after me, and i was afraid with what to do. Now ive gained a lot of courage, ive stood the up for my classmates. I think more of the issue stems from now we have a lot of support in america. But so 10, 20 years from now what if these students are the ones in our halls of congress and our policymakers, leaders of businesses . This is really my concern for the future because i dont know if this country i mean, im jewish, im israeli. Will this country be safe for my children . And its not only a jewish problem, it is an american problem because these people are not only chanting against the jews, theyre chanting against american values. And it really stems from the faculty. That is the root of this problem. They are indoctrinating kids with antiisrael lies and hate. And this is where the problem starts, and it has to end with that problem too. Pete absolutely. Richard, do you think why wont School Leadership do anything . Its one thing to have a political point of view. Its a whole other thing to have students feel directly physically threatened by the rhetoric and actions of their fellow students. Why cant why dont these leaders have any courage . Well, i think its primarily because our Education System has been infiltrated by, well, by a lot of marxists and social is for the last 10 years. Maybe for even longer. And now that youre seeing a generation of americans indock Try 2345eu9ed indoctrinated and now basically closeted communists and outright antisemites, and the schools, of course, they havent done anything about it because a lot of the instructors now, they are themselves in these antisemitic protests. Theyre participating. And i do have to say, i do have to commend the schools leadership in terms of, well, requesting the metropolitan pd, the washington, d. C. Police department, to basically try to clear out these antisemitic protests. It hasnt just been harassment, but its also been theyve just been blatantly spreading hate speech. And unfortunately, the mpd under the leadership of mayor bowser has refused. Pete interesting. Sabrina, theres an institute the on gws campus called the m. D. Ing the institute of middle eastern studies. My guessing is its funding comes from somewhere else, and it pushes an ideology too. Yeah, 100 . This is another problem, universities often dont really take the right steps because they, i mean, one stat is that theyve received 3. 7 billion i mean, this is across american campuses, this isnt just gw 3. 7 billion from the if uae, saudi arabia and and qatar from 20142019. So it explains a lot of the reason why universities arent really taking proper action. And the fact that we have entire academic departments or who are devoted to one ideology can. Pete yes. In this particular institute at George Washington is very antiisrael. And there have been conferences where theyre saying were producing knowledge, were decolonizing knowledge, and were doing it quietly in the classroom to retake our power. This is really very, i mean, its insidious. Pete yes. And the fact that its being done in the classroom is most threat,ing because its not allowing the outside world to see, and i think its important that students share their voice in term of whats going on in their classroom pete very well said. Here to discuss this devaluation is the founder of American Energy institute, jason isaac, jason, thats quite a drop. Thats bad news for ev owners about the secondary market. Yeah. Theres a significant drop in the value of evs because the tesla is significantly lowering the price of their vehicles. If you know, so far tesla has been the only electric vehicle manufacturer that has been immune to buyers remorse. Over half of their buyers replace a previous model with another model. Its the only manufacture if orer that can say that. But if the values are dropping as significantly as they are, i think sales from their existing customers are going to continue to drop. Will why buy a used car if a new car is so cheapsome so subsidy sized. And its happening, yeah, teslas the one offering these big subsidies to new car owners, but its happening to all these used cars. I think we have a list, we can we show you. The biggest impact on the chevrolet volt, the nissan leaf, almost 30 , 29 and on down. Kia, hyundai and in jaguar, mercedes down almost 15 . So is it just the fact that new cars are so cheap so why buy a used, or why else might the market be dropping on evs . Well, theres a reason for the separation, a few reasons, youve got china flooding the market with evs that are made with slave labor in china, and theyre just dropping the prices to flood the market to destroy american manufacturers. Youve got hertz that made a bad decision and purchased 100,000 tesla vehicles, theyre now selling those because the values have crushed and really the renters dont want them because of Range Anxiety and where are they going to charge. And the last thing you want with on a business or vacation trip is to have to sit around and wait for a vehicle to charge. You want to get where youre going efficiently. Those are a couple of reasons. But also used vehicles arent dropping their values as much, used gas cars, because gas vehicles to the tune of nearly 202,000 per ev told 20,000 per ev sold are subsidizing electric vehicles. This is research i published last year with the Texas Public Policy Foundation can. Again, that shows nearly 20,000 of every ev sold is subsidized the cost from an internal Combustion Engine vehicle. Will and whats, or really quickly, jason, whats demand, . Weve got the price of new vehicles but also just supply and demand. Are people are these, you know, i do see them on the road. Obviously, more than i used to see them. But are they meeting demand, evs . Yeah, thats another problem when you talk about supply and demand, there is an oversupply because demand is dropping so fast. You have support waning for them, again, because of the Range Anxiety, because of the heavy subsidation. Its really become a third vehicle or a really fancy tech golf cart, if you will, for a lot of consumers. Its still over 80 of consumers are wealthy individual owners, and americans are subsidizing their fancy Tech Vehicles for them to buy, and its the just unfortunate that the support is waning for them. But people want practicality, and theyre just not practical for most consumers. Will thats fascinating. 80 of the ev market is wealthy individuals. All right. Interesting stuff.
