shelter. don't worry. i got this. >> megan's parents tell me their hope for the future of course is peace. and a quick end to the hostilities they are very much looking forward to the day they can one day be reunited with their daughter safely. >> bill: living for the cause in a big way. thank you. nice to see you. 1:00, we are coming back. the big tree lighting is on monday. do not miss it! we've got to roll. >> a terrifying map shared on social media. an anti-israel activist group pinpointing targets all across new york city. the message to their 120,000 plus followers? direct action. that is a quote. one example of the explosion of anti-semitism and seeing all across the country. this is "faulkner focus," i am julie banderas, infer harris faulkner today. we've seen video after video of people tearing down posters of hostages, and protest erupting at college campuses all across the nation. this map, the call to action, taking things to a whole new level. one congressman says coded calls for violence against jews are proliferating on social media. a new york city spokesperson says threatening businesses and organizations and referring to them as the enemy is exactly the kind of hateful rhetoric that seeks to divide new yorkers. the nypd reports a spike of more than 200% in anti-semitic offenses in new york city. more than 300% in some other areas of the country. the vial post was deleted but it's fanning the flames of fear. we have this sobering morning. >> i've tried to be very clear that one of the things that jumps out at me, both nationally and locally with the jewish community, they are uniquely targeted by terrorism and hate across the spectrum. >> julie: i will talk with cd cd cotton. >> calling for the boycott or protest of more than a dozen new york city businesses and news organizations, saying they help commit against the palestinian people. the group says its initial post with the map was removed by instagram but it kept circulating in other places saying "may this map serve as a call for every struggle to act in their own interest. as we do so, we uplift one another's struggles and free palestine from the river to the sea." people chanting for a cease-fire, calling for the u.s. to end its aid to israel. earlier this week, protesters staged a die-in at the same park. we hear that phrase at many of the pro-palestine rallies, "from the river to the sea." the israeli minister of economy and industry saying people chanting against israel has a dangerous implication for the rest of the world. listen. >> if the islamic jihad is successful and there is a horrendous attack -- it will happen all over the world. that is why we have to win and have total surrender. we need the help of the world. >> a city official telling us they are monitoring the situation and keeping an eye out for any potential threat. the mayor saying "there's no place for hate in our city." julie? >> julie: cb cotton. and joining me from florida, i'm just very confused as to how the double standard exists here with the far left basically decrying the violence that has been going on in washington, d.c., but not condemning the violence that has been carried out against police officers. not just in our nation's capital but all over the country. why aren't these people being charged with hate crimes? >> good to see you, julie. i've been asking the exact same question. i find it exceptionally ironic that the very people calling for a cease-fire are the very first to engage in violence. we've seen that in our capital, in cities around the country. i just can't wrap my head around how people are so obtuse that they cannot bring themselves to recognize the 200 plus hostages, the atrocities that have taken place in israel. and yet they want to come at the same time, call for a of an entire nation. from the river to the sea. to pull at the heartstrings of individuals like myself and other leaders who are doing what they should be doing, standing with our friends and allies, israel. in peacefully expressing opinions. as we saw in washington a couple of nights ago on capitol hill, violence is their answer and they are absolutely hypocrites for their actions and cowards to boot because they all cover their faces. a shame and we have to call it out at the free turn. >> julie: i want to talk about the map that was posted last night and since deleted. not by their will but social media stepped in. as they should. this was deleted by a pro-palestinian activist group. "may this map serve as a call for every struggle to act in their own interest. as we do so, we uplift one another's struggles and free palestine from the river to the sea." it continued repeating the mantra adopted by hamas that calls for the eradication of israel. intifadas are targeted to tax against jews. this is now becoming such an out-of-control situation, with leading jewish leaders calling upon the biden administration to step in and do do something. this is violent. why aren't they doing anything? this protesting is protesting against violence in gaza. it clearly hypocritical. where's the doj in all of this? >> exactly. the fact that the white house has established in the midst of this incredible surge in anti-semitism across the country, their answer was to create an office addressing islamophobia in the country when our jewish brothers and sisters are experiencing incredible increases in anti-semitism, hate crimes, being targeted, this map is the latest in a slew of assaults and attacks on them. where is the biden white house? we had over 200,000 peaceful people in our nation's capital standing in solidarity with israel. not a single incident. and not a single word out of the white house. they sent an envoy. not the vice president. not the president. there was nobody. it's just a shame. today in gainesville, florida, we will have pro hamas protesters at my office. their goal is to disrupt our way of life. >> julie: president biden thanked the officers outside of the dnc headquarters earlier this week. six officers were injured. punched and pepper sprayed. capitol hill was on lockdown. you can see on screen, you can hear the screaming. the absolute chaos. one of the groups behind the demonstration says "our protest was nonviolent." "capitol police brutally attacked us with no warning." you are locked down on the hill during all of this. you posted, i read it or retweeted it. or re-x'd. i don't know what you call it these days. "how did we get here?" the answer, even if they had not read bin laden's infamous letter, young people have already been spoon-fed the leftists messaging that dominates college campuses, digital media, and social media discourse. "the wall street journal" editorial board with this, a serious question, though. how and how much these platforms are shaping american education and political discourse? "the new york post," their front page looks like this. "world gone mad man." tiktoker's praising osama bin laden in a shocking new low. the education department is absolutely responsible for this. they've allowed this kind of rhetoric and taught this kind of rhetoric. they've supported it, enabled it. they announced a new list of universities, and k-12 schools, reporting incidents of anti-semitism -- columbia, cornell, prominent organizations are urging the biden administration to take a proactive approach to address these issues on college campuses. but i don't see the biden administration doing anything about it. >> they are in a tough spot politically. that letter, if you put one of the squad members at the bottom of it and took the portions about israel and portions about the united states, it would sound like they were the authors. it's not just college professors talking about this and high school educators. politicians are coming from the progressive movement of the democratic party and they seem to not understand the biden white house -- they don't know what to do about them. all they have to do is call it out. i got there a political implications with the base believing this. god forbid you do something that's actually the right thing. >> julie: we have to call out the fact there's such a double standard when it comes to accountability on social media. tiktok has a video, it's not on there for an hour or two. it's on there for days. championing osama bin laden's mission to kill 3,000 americans. and under president trump, do you remember all of the facebook posts and twitter post taken down because people were questioning the vaccine and covid post to mark it's this sort of stuff exists on tiktok,d sit during most young americans get their news from tiktok. it says a lot about where our future is headed. >> it's a terrifying aspect of all of this. i'm on the fence. on the one hand, it needs to be taken down. i'm disgusted it took so long. on the other hand, it is instructive to learn that these are the types of views that these folks are having. unless we truly understand what they are saying and how they are saying it, we are not really going to be able to, for lack of a better turn, "counter program" it. these are our young people, they will become our next lawmakers. if they go into these kind of positions with these views on israel, the implications with our relationship with israel and american jews will get very complicated and perhaps ugly. i'm glad that a lot more people are picking up on the fact that these young folks have been indoctrinated to this degree. now we can push back in a more meaningful way. >> julie: mike gallagher put it perfectly. these people are idiots. not calling somebody dumb, they are uneducated. they are posting this negative propaganda because, why? these liberal colleges are allowing it. thanks to congresswomen on the far left that are actually enabling this kind of violence. i want to switch gears. shocking instances of anti-semitism across the country. like we've been seeing on college campuses, as israel's war against hamas rages on. vandalizing a large menorah on the front lawn of a long island home. the damages estimated at some $2,000. police arresting a suspect in the death of a jewish man who fell during a confrontation between pro-israel and pro-palestinian demonstrators. the suspect is, wait for it, a professor at a community college. in massachusetts, backlash after the city of north andover approved a permit -- approved a permit -- to fly a palestinian flag over the town comments. a jewish leader spoke to "fox & friends." watch this. >> i think they are a bunch of cowards. they took the legal, legal statement from the council people. i know in their hearts, they didn't want to raise the flag. they put their own personal worries ahead of the town. that's not what leadership does. >> julie: why so cowardly do these leaders actually fall in line with an organization that promotes terrorism? that's a discussion in and of itself. this primary is getting hardened in its numbers and donald trump is way out front. talk about the numbers -- it shows you where we are. i hope the message my other guest said is what the democrats bring next year. go right ahead. donald trump and others that have a record, you can't say inflation is coming down when you are the ones that spiked inflation and brought it down. >> julie: jonathan, what you have to say about doug's comments about your message?
