we're keeping an eye on the press room as the president and his team basically trying to wrap their heads around the current state of affairs in the country. really given all that is going on across this country and in london and other places as well, if you are iran i mullahs right now, no doubt you are liking what you're seeing. we have a pro palestinian day of action we're learning about. that's supposed to happen tomorrow. all of this as today 30 days after october 7th, we heard all day long from absolutely aggrieved families of hostages whose loved ones they believe are alive and in gaza at this moment. they want them out. obviously hamas or the killers of 1,400 israeli citizens and brought 240 -- more than that in to -- back in to gaza. these people want their loved ones out. they want them out safely. the pain that they have been going through is excruciating. >> its been 30 days. every day is like eternity to me. >> martha: the white house, they are still doing a cleaning operation trying to get the fake red blood off of the gates at the white house. things have changed so dramatically in the last 30 days. now if you're in the white house, you're listening to chants of genocide joe. who would have imagined a month ago that this is where we would be in the country? this is just -- i don't know -- 48 hours ago. watch this. >> genocide joe needs to halt his actions immediately and realize that he's going to face massive opposition from democratic voters next year. >> if you don't stop this genocide now, you will not get these votes. >> martha: a lot of passion. peter doocy reporting live from the north lawn. peter, pressure from a lot of sides right now on the u.s. president. good afternoon to you. >> yeah, martha. the people trying to pressure president biden are a reason why pennsylvania avenue is closed to pedestrians right now. they made a big mess. just as we came to air, karine jean-pierre was asked if the white house thinks it's appropriate to left the red supposed to look like blood stained hand prints on the white house. she said obviously not. we also got some new reaction from admiral kirby about this cable of dissent that is going around concerning president biden's israel policy right now. >> the president understands that there's strong emotions and feelings here all around, all across the board. here inside the administration and in the federal government, that's the case as well. he appreciates the fact that people feel strongly and that there are multiple perspectives. we're going to continue to listen to them, trevor, inside and outside the government. >> the park service is struggling to erase the fake blood from the fence line left by angry anti-israeli protesters. black drapes continue covering the area obscuring views of the cleanup and pressure washers are blasting the iron bars where literature was pasted to the fence saturday night. the biden campaign is trying to counter programs for the republican primary debate in miami. they got a question about turning off young people with such strong support for israel's military. the answer was kind of deflected to folks on reasons why they think young voters are never going to leave the 80-year-old incumbent. >> they're very energized and motivated by some of the core issues that we know are front and center this election. issues around access to abortion, issues around gun safety. also, you know, issues around student loan debt. >> president biden is talking very, very little about this. actually not at all today on camera. instead he's going to have an event downtown washington d.c. focusing on bidenomics. when the motorcade leaves, he's going to drive by these black drapes that are still up covering these red hand prints that have been up there for three days now, martha. >> no doubt it's unsettling for the president and for everyone around him as they try to navigate these really choppy waters right now in the country. peter, thank you very much. peter doocy. with that, we bring in nathan sales, former coordinator for counter terrorism under president trump. thanks for being here. yes, we look at all of these dynamics. we're told that iran was not directly connected to the hamas attack 30 days ago on october 7. they must like what they're seeing. you have deep division happening in this country and protests that really serve their purpose of being anti-jewish all around the world nathan. this looks like a temporary win at this point for iran. >> well, martha, i think we have to be concerned about the surge in anti-semitism that we've seen in the united states in the aftermath of the october 7th attacks. just a month ago today. you know, the people that are protesting in support of hamas, the people criticizing israel, they don't feel cowed by the atrocities committed. they feel emboldened and empowered. this attack that is inspiring them to come out and paint the white house red with fake blood and desecrating statues of great american heros like ben franklin here in washington d.c. so the thing that really worries us, every one has a first amendment right to protest. everybody has a first amendment right to say things. the thing that should concern us, what happens when thesus, w protests get out of hand and cross the violence. that's what we saw in los angeles where an elderly jewish man was apparently according to the police beaten to death by a pro palestinian anti-israeli hamas sympathizer. >> martha: they're still investigating the circumstances of that. the police said today that the suspect called 911 after an altercation. so that's continuing to unfold. no doubt this is a deeply unsettling time in america. talk to me about -- in terms of what hamas has been able to pull off, nathan. they now have -- they carried out a heinous barbaric attack. they had to have known that the retaliation would be heinous in many ways itself. now the way that they talk about what is happening in the palestinian territory, basically they're saying look, there's no liberation without martyrs. this is what happens. they're not talking about protecting their people. i think that's something that people need to listen to closely. what do you think about how hamas is treating the people of gaza right now? >> martha, from hamas' standpoint, the people of gaza are an after thought or even worse than that, they're expendable. hamas is playing a very cynical game. they actually want palestinian civilians to be injured and killed. they can use that to delegitimize israel and their efforts to prevent another 10-7 from happening again. that's why we saw video footage of israeli forces locating weapons and rocket launchers in a day care center in gaza. that's why hamas does things like bury their headquarters underneath the hospital in the heart of gaza city. so for hamas, when civilians are killed, that's not a bug. that is a feature in a perverse way. >> martha: we have a video that shows an animation put out by the israeli defense forces. this is what it looks like under al shifa. there's back tunnel entrance. they're going in to gaza city right now, before i let you go, the idf says they're going slowly and methodically through gaza city trying to root out members of hamas. they're going to have to get under that hospital at some point soon, it would look. >> i think that's right, martha. the next turn of the screw, the way this story is going, israel has to assault the hamas headquarters underneath the hospital. when that happens, all the usual suspects are going to criticize israel for committing war crimes, for being too aggressive. the fact of the matter is, if israel wanted to destroy the hospital, they could have done that from the air. instead, what i think we're going to see is a much more precise, much more surgical operation in which israel is exposing its own soldiers to greater risk in order to protect patients, in order to protect doctors and get at the real threat there, which of course is the hamas infrastructure located under the hospital, not the protected structure on the surface. >> martha: a quick question for you. you said not one hostage should be released until -- no cease fire until the hostages are released. that has to be the tone that israel takes and in fact bibi netanyahu said exactly that. do you think the white house will give them that same message? >> well, i sure hope so. that's not the message we're starting to hear from some members of congress on the president's left flank. let's be clear. a cease fire or a pause or whatever you want to call it right now would simply buy more time for hamas. israel is encircling hamas leadership in gaza city. the time to call a truce, however long it lasts, is not now right before israel is able to move in and eliminate hamas leadership. so i hope that the president sticks to his guns, as it were, and tells israel, you have -- we have your back for as long as it takes to root out hamas. of course, do what you can, do everything you must to protect innocent civilian lives. we cannot allow hamas to hide behind civilians and prevent israel from finishing the job. >> martha: he's got a lot of political pressures on him. we'll see if he sticks to his guns, given some of the numbers that we saw come out in the primary state including michigan. we'll be watching that, nathan. thank you. nathan sales, good to have you with us. this is breaking right now. an update on the effort to censure democratic congress woman rasheeda talib that posted "from the river to the sea" a phrase -- she's speaking now. let's see what she has to say. watch. >> all palestinians just wants to live her life with freedom and human dignity we all deserve. speaking up to save lives, mr. chair, no matter faith, no matter ethnicity should not be controversial in this chamber. the cries of the palestinian and israeli children sound no different to me. what? i don't understand. why the cries of palestinians sound different to you all. we cannot lose our shared humanity, mr. chair. i hear the voices of advocates in israel, in palestine, across america and around the world for peace. i'm inspired by the courageous survivors in israel that have lo losted loved ones. i'm grateful to the people in the streets for the peace movement with countless jewish americans across the country standing up and lovingly saying, not in our name. we will continue to call for a cease fire, mr. chair, for the immediate delivery of critical humanitarian aid to gaza and the release of all hostages and those detained and for every american to come home. we will continue to work for real-lasting peace that upholds rights of all people and co-existence between israelis and palestinians and censures no one, no one. ensuring that no person, no child has to suffer or live in fear of violence. 71% of michigan democrats support a cease fire. so you can try to censure me. but you can't silence their voices. i urge my colleagues to join with the majority of americans in support a cease fire now to save as many lives as possible. president biden must listen to and represent all of us, not just some of us. i urge the president to have the courage to call for a cease fire and the end of killings. thank you. i yield. >> martha: rasheeda talib from michigan saying that 71% of democrat michigan voters want to see a cease fire. you know, much of what she said, i don't think anybody would disagree with. the question has come to her she has not answered is whether or not she's willing to condemn hamas. that's why there's an effort underway to censure her. also for the phrase "from the river to the sea" being in her social media posts. that's why the questions have been raised. chad pergram watching all of this live on capitol hill. chad, what can you tell us about whats going on here with regard to congress woman talib. >> good afternoon, martha. last week the house voted to block an effort to censure talib. a full vote will come tomorrow. most democrats are offended at her inflammatory rhetoric. many democrats site free speech as reasons that they oppose sanctioning talib. >> i'll tell you how this democracy dies. there's lots of ways it dies. one of the ways it dies if we start sanctioning each other for or speech. it was at best massively intense ty. she may believe that that is an aspirational slogan. that's not the way that israelis or jewish or most people hear it. >> democratic senator elizabeth warren tweeted that hate speech and violence is alarming but warns nothing against violence against jews. ted lew says jews are scared when someone like talib uses words which parrot the charter of hamas. the phrase "the river to the sea" calls for the elimination of israel. >> they also call for the killing of all jews. if someone repeats that phrase in america, it is highly inflame torre. >> why not have the democratic caucus take some action action her if her remarks are so offensive as mr. lew laid out? >> as members of congress, we have out size platforms. we can individually criticize, commend, say whatever we want about any issue we want to. >> the tit for tat continues. democrats have a resolution to censure gop florida representative brian mast. he called palestinian nazis. martha? >> thank you very much. we'll keep an eye on it with your help. chad pergram on capitol hill. take a look at this. protesters gathering outside city hall in new york city right now to call out elected officials that they consider to be actively complicit in the genocide of palestinian people is what these protesters are saying. we have seen these kinds of gatherings all across the country in different hotspots. we're going to take you there live. alexis mcadams is on the ground covering the story for us. that is next. veteran homeowners need cash but worried you can't get a home loan because of your credit? here's great news. at newday we've been granted automatic authority by the va to make our own loan approval decisions. in fact, if you've had credit challenges and missed a payment along the way, you're more than five times more likely to get approved for the newday 100 va cash out loan. no one knows veterans like newday usa. israel is under attack and jewish families are in danger. israel's enemies seek our destruction. the people of israel need immediate help. rockets have us squarely in the crosshairs. our people are targets in their own homes. many have lost everything and fear for their lives. the international fellowship of christians and jews has launched an urgent response to rescue those affected by this violent attack. our teams are on the ground across israel delivering lifesaving aid. your urgently needed gift of only $45 will help rush food, water, medicine and emergency supplies for jewish families that have nowhere to turn. time is literally running out. what we need you to do is to act now. [chanting]. >> martha: okay. that is the scene right now in new york city. you heard them moments ago. genocide joe has got to go. as i said at the top of the show, rewind yourself 30 days. you would ask yourself, what is going on in this country? this is where we are right now as you watch these protests, which we have seen thousands of protesters in london, chanting the same kind of things. we heard the same kind of chants coming right in front of the white house where they smeared red paint to look like blood on the columns of the white house. this is an intense moment in new york city and across the country really. we heard from rasheeda talib talking about the fact that 71% of her michigan voters she believes support a cease fire. you have jewish groups that support anything but a cease fire. so this is really redrawing political lines in a lot of ways. people are questioning the politicians that they support and what they stand for and which side they're on. this as we are exactly a year from the presidential election. so hold on to your seats, folks. this is getting more interesting and real i more consequential for the country and for the world as we cover this story throughout the coming months. so you have heard the calls that have come from some of the highest levels of the democrat party for the president to step aside. after they took a look at these polls. the crowds got louder. donald trump that we've been showing you in the courthouse has a strong lead at this point. all these are outside the margin of error for those five swing states that are very important. the only one that biden would win today in this "new york times" sienna poll is wisconsin. so biden won all of those states in 2020, folks. keep that in mind. here's karine jean-pierre moments ago. >> i'm not going to speak to anything related to 2024. i also want to be very clear here, like we have to really take these polls with a grain of salt. as we should really be very mindful here. one of the reasons why is just a year ago in 2022, there was the red wave that never materialized. >> martha: they're hoping that will happen again, this is tim ryan. he wanted to get nancy pelosi out. i'll play him in a second. first, welcome lee carter and robert wolf, former economic advisinger to president obama and a fox news contributor. he has been talking to a lot of people closely involved in where this is all going. let's listen to tim ryan at the top of this. let's watch. >> the whole country wants to move on. i think that it would be the right thing to do for the president to not run. i don't mean to be so frank. i love joe biden. he's done a great service to this country. he saved this country by beating donald trump. now it's time for us to just take the next step. >> martha: okay. robert. you talked to a lot of people at high levels in the democrat party. how are they responding? are they saying out loud that they think that joe biden should get out of the race? >> i spoke to tim this morning. he's a great college quarterback. today he's being a great armchair quarterback. i totally disagree with tim. a few weeks from today, you're not going to get in the ballots of california, florida, currently nevada and so on, so forth. maybe eight states. we're in a situation where it's likely president biden versus president trump. that's the choice. i spoke to tim. he's all in for president biden. when you say listen, would you take the field versus an incumbent? people will say sure, maybe. but the point is -- >> martha: tim ryan says the country wants to move on. you're saying tough luck. you're not allowed to. >> i'm saying, it's not accurate. there's no primary. in a few weeks, these people won't get on the debate stage. >> martha: when you look at the numbers, the states we just put up, if it were today, he would lose. >> i know. you and i have been talking about this for a decade. we would have had president hillary clinton if we looked alt these polls. >> martha: obama wasn't behind hillary by as much in iowa. >> obama was behind rick perry, okay, at this time in 2011. our apologies. there was never president rick perry. >> martha: biden is running unopposed. speaking of that, we talked about how the country is dividing in to three or four or five different parties feels like when you look at ideologies. look at the pro palestinian versus pro israel democrats. so take a look at this. 2024 election, this is if r.f.k. jr. is in the mix, who would you vote for? 33% biden, 35% trump, 24% kennedy. that's the highest number i've seen for kennedy since we started watching this. >> it's a really high number for kennedy. looks like more of ros perot that anybody ever expected when we talked about kennedy getting in the race. it's similar to the polls. the polls all along, we're seeing a none of the above voter. we've had about 20% of the people said they won't vote for donald trump or joe biden. there's a real opportunity here. the question is this going to have -- does he have any legs? can it go beyond think? i don't think he does. i think think is a spoiler. right now it seems to be hurding joe biden more than donald trump. if donald trump, one of these indictments turns into a conviction, more people will say i'm going to kennedy or an alternative candidate than more likely to go to joe biden. those are people that made their mind up. >> martha: joe biden is 80 years old. he's president of the united states. he's got a situation that we're very involved in in europe and ukraine. now he's in deep in this israel situation. do you think if kamala harris wasn't his vice president that he might pass the torch? >> no. i actually don't. i think that it's a very strange situation because you have the gop primary going and they're campaigning and you have an incumbent that is acting like the president. you have focused on israel, ukraine and the economy. he's not out there campaigning. the democrats say campaign. hit trump as much as you can. that won't happen. >> martha: guys, conversation will continue. this is election day. so much going on. we will talk about that and tell you what you should be watching as these returns come in tonight. we start to see the shape of this election day in 2023. lee carter, thanks. robert wolf, good to have you. moments ago fox obtained an internal government threat advisory around a pro palestinian day of action that is planned for tomorrow. we mentioned this at the top of the show. we're starting to learn more about what this is likely to look like. it says in all possible cities at sites of production and headquarters of the largest trans national weapons companies. so figure this out for us. let's go to tel aviv and jeff paul who has been looking into this from his post in tel aviv right now. hi, jeff. good evening. >> yeah, martha, more than a month in to this war, we continue to see rockets being fired from gaza to central israel. an hour ago you got the warning and her the sirens. then you heard the booms of the iron dome as they knocked down as many as ten rockets that were fired. so far only one report of a house being hit. during this difficult time. so the rabbi in that community warns that what he is seeing in anti-semitism in that area is getting much worse. he's next. hey, dad, would you rather have time travel to the past or the future? oh, that's easy. i'll dial the time back to 20 minutes so i can eat this ham, turkey and beef roast all over again. but you could just go back to the holiday buffet right now. but then i wouldn't get to time travel. let's go way back. i want to ride a pterodactyl. what? why you tripping right now? i don't sit tripping right now? i don't sit at thveteran homeownersn is my the scene in new york city right now. this is down by city hall in manhattan. it's been going on for a while. they were chanting genocide. joe, just a short time ago. these are pro-palestinian protesters that have flooded the area in front of city hall. as i mentioned, to rally against, quote, elected officials who are actively complicit in the genocide of the palestine people. the palestinian people is what they're saying. so one month after hamas terrorists slew. mortared 1400 israelis and took hundreds of men, women and babies hostage. and we have heard from those families today . and it is heartbreaking as well to hear their situation as they have no word on their loved ones 30 days later. correspondent alexis mcadams covering this for us in new york city live with the details. hi, alexis. hi, martha. yeah, you saw it there on your screen, right? we're talking about big crowds in front of city hall here in new york city. hundreds of people gathering just the past half hour saying they're going to pack the streets, calling out things like genocide. joe has got to go and saying the united states is complicit in what they say has been killing. so many innocent people on the gaza strip and saying that something needs to be done. we've been watching and listening, but we want you to hear some of those chants. watch we want it now. if we don't get it, if we don't get it, if we don't get it. and those were just some of the chants there. meanwhile, also, the president of israel wants schools to take action against anti semitism, where we've seen a lot of the protests popping up because it's not just in large cities like here in new york. it's on those campuses. right. so the president of israel, martha, sending a letter calling on colleges and universities across the us to address the rise of jewish hate. that's the letter there from president isaac herzog, who actually attended both cornell and nyu, writing in part this will either be a teaching moment that moves us toward constructive action or a moment of irreversible decline. so as students protest and that continues, the israeli ambassador to the un also says the rise in anti-semitism on college campuses cannot be ignored. listen when university president facilitate terrorist supporting rallies, we must call for their resignation loud and clear. when jewish students are assaulted on campus, we must demand the anti-semites be expelled. and so we want to take another look there in front of city hall in new york. the group there says the protest is against all elected officials who are complicit in the genocide of the palestinian people. this is one of the organizers, i'm told by my producer on the ground who's thanking those crowds for showing up. they've been posting about this, martha, for quite a few days, trying to get support there on the ground, saying it's not just today on election day, but they want this to continue for the rest of the week and months to come as this war rages on. so back out here live, we can tell you it's not just there at city hall. it was also a protest in front of the united nations this morning where people were sitting in front of the un demanding they take action to release those innocent hostages that are being held by hamas. martha, a lot of the families speaking out today. very difficult for them. they say they can't sleep at night for 30 days. obviously just thinking about their loved ones in some cases, young babies and families that are being held by these hamas terrorists. it's just an unimaginable situation. alexis, thank you very much. alexis mcadams in new york. so the police say that they are not ruling out a hate crime in the death of 69 year old paul kessler. he's a jewish man who fell all during a confrontation with a pro-palestinian protest here. the tragic incident happened just outside los angeles where dueling protests were going on over the israel-hamas war on sunday. video shows that paramedics attending to kessler were then they rushed him to the hospital where he died the following day during the investigation at the scene, deputies determined that the altercation with mr. kessler, he fell backward and struck his head on the ground. what exactly transpired prior to mr. kessler falling backward is in crystal clear right now. okay. with that, we bring in rabbi michael barclay. he is the spiritual leader of temple near simca in westlake, california, where near where these protests were going on. and he says that the victim attended services at his temple . rabbi, you know, our sympathies to or to your temple community over the loss of this individual. you say that you told your your community not to go in the area of these protests because you were worried that trouble could happen. well let's be clear. first of all, i haven't seen paul and cheryl since before the pandemic. so we were not very close. i was looking at some emails from him pre-pandemic, but yes, i sent out since the war began, i've been sending out to two, three emails per day to the community as well as writing for pj media and other outlets. and on saturday night i actually sent an email to the community saying, please don't go near this intersection because these people were looking for violence. yes, they're looking to bait a trap and we don't know what's happened exactly to paul. there are conflicting reports. we need to be calm and patient and wait for the reports from chief of police jeremy and sheriff jim freehoff. they are really good guys. this is these are guys i can vouch for. we need to wait. let them do their investigation. they have a lot of conflicting reports right now. and they're looking for video of the altercation that was right before the incident. yeah you make a great point. and we talked about this in our meeting this morning that, you know, we've had other situations, protests, riots that everybody can remember where we were told the cause of death of someone that turned out to be something very different. so we do want to, you know, calm is the better mode to be in right now. but what would you say to your community and to people listening when you look at the strife that we are seeing in so many places from college campuses to the front of the white house right now? rabbi you're probably not going to like my answer. i'm sorry. i'm not here to like or not or dislike your answer. you can say whatever you like. i think we need to change the narrative and get honest. there is no historical thing as palestine. palestine is not a real nation. the people living in gaza, the great grandparents, consider themselves egyptian ones and these are useful idiots going to demonstrations, having no idea what they're talking about, unaware of the covenant of 1988 of hamas. that's their charter, which calls for the destruction of israel. the obliteration of every jew unaware that if these people were in palestine or in gaza, because that's really what it is, the hamas, the same people who are demonstrating, many of them are gay or transsexual, that they would be killed, their women, they would be forced to live by sharia law. what was done on october 7th was evil, plain and simple. all in order to achieve peace, israel is correct. we need to destroy that evil. and i hate to say that because it's those people who were hamas soldiers. they were born as innocent babies. they were born as innocent babies. and they they never had a chance. they were educated and inculcated into a war of into into a culture of hate. they never had a chance because hamas and gaza export hate. they export looking to the back and death israel exports the future and peace. okay, so it's really, really painful. we need to do it. you know, there's a lot of pain going around and we thank you for being here and expressing your own feelings about the situation. and we're covering it closely as well. so, rabbi, thank you very much. and we do thank you, martha. i do have one other request. if i may. absolutely. go ahead, please. is the kesslers are going through a lot of pain. please they're being hounded. please leave them alone. and let them grieve. yeah, please. for their sake. it's important. speak to, you know, the rest of the media on that. and we certainly can understand how their family is feeling. thank you very much, rabbi. good to have you with us today. thank you. so on the one month mark of the hamas terror attack in israel, relative of hostage victims keep their stories alive as prime minister netanyahu vows that war will continue until every last hostage is freed. we are live in northern israel with that report next. it's been 30 days every day is like eternity to me and i
