no more excuses. >> well, to me it's a policy question. and it is one where our federal government, the biden administration, the agencies and indeed all people of goodwill to focus on. i think about the role that iran plays in latin america. the fact hamas and hezbollah cells operate in countries like venezuela. and the fact that we have no meaningful controls, as you say correctly, at the southern border. so to my way of thinking, there is a clear and immediate and advanced threat post october 7th here at home that we all on a bipartisan basis have to deal with. it's one thing to blame president biden. it's another thing to do something about it and to let our overseas adversaries know that any such attack will be responded to overwhelmingly with force without any limitation. >> julie: no question something needs to be done about it and no question when you have a problem like this who else is to blame other than the president of the united states? >> i'm blaming the iranians, hamas, hezbollah and we as a country have to do something about it. not politicize it. >> julie: hamas and iran are not the ones supposed to be protecting our borders. >> they are attacking our border. we all agree with that. >> julie: former house speaker nancy pelosi is the latest democrat to sound the alarm about a no labels presidential ticket in 2024. she says no labels is perilous to our democracy when she jeopardize the re-election of joe biden as president of the united states. i can no longer remain silent on that. i don't remember nancy pelosi ever remaining silent on anything so i don't know what she is talking about there. but gianno, your reaction. >> yeah, you know, i think in this particular election joe biden's polling is in trouble. i remain cautiously optimistic republicans will win back the white house because there are so many issues with our top candidate with the indictment, court cases. we have no idea what is going to happen. we can't properly predict what the next election will be. >> we don't know if it's good or bad. gianno is right. we can't predict given the field. we don't know who no labels is going to run if they run anybody. we know that robert f. kennedy, jr. is polling 15 to 20% and that could have a decisive impact as well. so we'll have to wait and see what happens. >> julie: great to see you gentlemen. thank you for coming on "the faulkner focus." thank you at home for watching.
