>> welcome to jesse waters primetime. i'm in for jesse who sat an event in california. it's no secret, biden is trying desperately to rebrand himself as a war time president. with his approval ratings at record lows and bidenomics not working, war is all biden has to campaign on. biden knows his history. presidents in the middle of war do better in the polls like george w. bush and lyndon johnson, who breezed their way to re-election. but if biden wants to be a wartime president, he's going to have to demonstrate that he understands the complexities of war. >> is this the most complicated time of your presidency so far? >> thank you. >> nothing? >> you can't say nothing to it when the world is on the brink of world war iii, joe. our military bases are getting attacked. record numbers of islamists and chinese are pouring through our open borders and protesters are filling our streets. instead of being in the situation room, joe biden is spending his time at fund-raisers where last night he was heckled. >> mr. president are you scared about this? >> get out! >> it didn't take long for joe biden to pander. biden, whose response wasn't caught on camera, said i think we need a pause. i'm the guy that convinced them to call for a cease fire to let the prisoners out. of course, just hours later the white house had to walk it back. >> i just want to be really clear that so when the president said last night that he co convinced them to do a cease fire he was referring to the two americans that got out. israel has never acknowledged they paused. >> in order to get folks out, you got to make sure they can do it safely. that's what the president was referring to. >> was this another biden gaff or does the president want a cease fire to get hostages out and aid to innocent civilians? joe biden's in a bind. his base wants a cease fire. his war room doesn't. americans are already threatening to vote against biden because of support to israel. why does this matter? well, russians make up a large chunk of voter base in swing states. places like arizona, georgia, michigan. these are states that biden barely won in 2020. the white house knows this. that's why joe and kamala have announced a new strategy to fight, get this, islamaphobia. >> for years muslims in america have endured a disproportion kwraeut number of hate fueled attacks. as a result of the hamas terrorist attack in israel and the humanitarian crisis in gaza. and so today i am proud to announce the biden/harris administration will develop our nation's first national strategy to counter islamic phobia. >> the white house says they take hate seriously. >> this is a very genuine effort on behalf of the president, vice president and entire administration to plant a marker about how hate has no business here in the united states, particularly hate that can lead to real threats of violence against the muslim community, the arab community, palestinian community. we take that seriously. >> but i don't think that the white house does take hate seriously. in 2022 the fbi reported 1256 anti-jewish hate crimes versus only 158 anti-muslim. since the war broke out, there's been a 400% rise in anti-semitic attacks in the united states. and jewish college students say they have never felt more threatened and unsafe as they do at this very moment. so what's biden and the fbi doing about it? they're focusing on islamic phobia. they're going after traditional mass catholics and weaponizing the fbi to go after grandmas from january 6th. yesterday a resolution was put forward to censure congressman talib for anti-semitism and leading an insurrection at the u.s. capitol but it failed after 20 republicans joined democrats to kill it. one of those republicans, thomas massey from kentucky, he joins us now. congressman, so great to have you on. explain why you voted to table or basically kill this resolution? >> there are a couple reasons. number one, free speech isn't just about protecting the speech that you like. it's especially about protecting the speech you don't like. i think the protest was an expression of speech. now, the other reason that i voted against this resolution, the language was modelled after a resolution that i voted against two years ago that calls the january 6th protesters insurrectionists. it's wrong to call the january 6th protesters insurrectionists and it's wrong to call the people that tlaib insurrectionists. those were my reasons for voting against it. >> i agree with you on free speech. i agree neither were insurrections. however, i think the reason why marjorie taylor green put forward this resolution is she was using the same words that were used against january 6ers. she's saying shouldn't those words apply to democrats as well. there was a congressman from pennsylvania who was accused of collaborating with january 6 protesters, and the fbi went after him. stole or took his phone in front of his family and confiscated it. so i think this was sort of like, how do you end this if not with mutually assured destruction. what's your take on that? just seems like the democrats get away with everything and you guys play by the constitution and, you know. it just doesn't seem fair. >> well, listen. marjorie's a good friend of mine and she's within her rights to introduce this resolution. i wish it had been worded differently. they came after her, to your point, rachel. they came after marjorie with resolutions and kicked her off her committees. it's definitely within her prerogative to do this. somebody's got to stop it though. we've got to get back to normal. i know there are people who would like us to do kung fu fighting on the floor of the house of representatives. we may not be far from it. i would like to take the tone down just a little bit so we can solve some of america's problems. >> i'm up for kung fu fighting, congressman. really quick, how worried are you that the conflict in israel is going to command and possibly lead to world war iii? this is a dangerous moment. >> even if it's a 1% chance of world war iii or going nuclear and expanding, like i believe in ukraine. there's at least a 1% chance of that. it's our job in congress, to the extent that we can, to contain this conflict and not to expand it. i wouldn't want to, for instance, see us attack iran. i hope this gets settled there in gaza and not expand to other territories. that's how you get a world war iii, countries come in one, two, three at a time and join the conflict. >> yeah. we need really thoughtful leaders at this time. i'm not sure we have them at the very top at this moment. very distressing. congressman massie, thank you for joining us. >> thanks, rachel. >> america is stretched too thin. we're fighting proxy wars in ukraine and the middle east, and there's no end in sight. as long as biden is president, these wars will go on, tracking our precious resources halfway around the world. this year america was running low on ammo after we sent millions of rounds to ukraine with no way of tracking where it went. we don't know how much was stolen. now america's on the hook for the new conflict in the middle east and there's no telling how long this war will drag on for. any sane person can see that america is overextended and broke. just as alarming is that we have taken our eye off the ball. we're not paying attention to our biggest global adversary, china. china is loving all of this. they're on the sidelines plotting our demise. last night china sent dozens of warplanes into taiwanese air space. they're antagonizing us. biden's response is to brag about how we have even more and bigger nukes, bringing us even closer to the brink of world war iii, which would be catastrophic, not just for america, but for the world. we're trapped in a strategic disaster and the war machine is revving up. where are our international strategic thinkers and diplomats before it's too late. gordon chang is a senior fellow at the gastone institute. gordon, thank you for joining us tonight. let's get right to it. how dangerous is this moment that we're living in right now? >> this is an extremely dangerous moment, rachel. we talk about world war iii. we could very well be in it. if we go back to the 1930s, there were separate wars that emerged into the second world war. china is in proxy wars, going after the united states and our friends and allies. as you point out, they could very well start something in east asia as well. remember, we have got wars or chaos in europe, in africa and in asia, the middle east. so this can spread and it probably will spread because biden has shown weakness. >> yeah. that's not counting latin america. they're in our hemisphere making massive advances. the war in ukraine to me, gordon, seems very predictable that it would bring russia and china closer together. now we know that because of oil and the energy situation now iran is closer than they've ever been to china as well. what are these new alliances mean for america? what can we do? how would you advise our leaders at this moment? >> this alliance, backed by china and it has russia, iran, north korea, perhaps algeria in it. this has been in existence for sometime. unfortunately, we have a political establishment in washington that has refused to acknowledge what's going on. i think the way that you deal with this is you have a victory. you do that, you stop essentially china from creating this aura of invincibility. china is trying to encircle the united states with these proxy wars. this sort of goes back to the current ruler of china is a mao admirer. he's taking a page out of mao's play book. we know how to deal with this. we've done it before. we can do it again. except biden is failing to understand the gravity of the situation and is failing to understand how to deal with this. >> are you saying -- i have just a couple seconds left. >> ukraine is important because if we allow russia to take ukraine, then russia can divert those resources that would be used in ukraine against, for instance, japan. russia made it clear it wants the northern japanese islands. it gives china this sense that they are inevitable. they're not. we can't let them create that impression. >> it looks like we're losing in ukraine right now. gordon chang, i wish you were advising the biden administration right now. maybe not on ukraine, but certainly on the threat of china, which you have been an expert on. thank you for joining us tonight. >> thank you, rachel. >> fox news alert. sam bankman-fried convicted. we are awaiting remarks from the u.s. attorney next. >> tech: when you have auto glass damage, trust safelite. my customer really relies on his car's advanced safety system. o'grady who is at the courthouse with the latest. kelly, help us break this down. >> sure. so, rachel, first i have to start by saying the jury reached this verdict deliberating only 4 1/2 hours. you know that's never a good sign for the defendant. even the bernie madoff trial, it took them four days to reach a verdict. he has been convicted on all seven counts of fraud, money laundering, conspiracy. he is facing up to 110 years in prison. that doesn't mean he will necessarily get 110 years but that is the maximum sentence for the charges he's been convicted on. he will have a sentencing date scheduled for march 28th. remember he had his bail revoked so right now he has been behind bars during this entire trial and the period leading up to it. we have not confirmed if he will remain behind bars. if status quo remains he will until march, that sentencing date. there is another trial scheduled for march 11th. the government has not confirmed whether they plan to go forward with that or not. realistically he was just convicted on all of these charges so they will have to decide whether to continue pursuing that case. there are a couple of things i want to frame up for you, color inside the courtroom. he looked at the jury, but the jury did not look at him when they were walking into the courtroom. he was stoic, had no emotion when the verdict was read. but his parents, his mom had her head in her hands, his dad was hunched over, knowing this now impacts potentially the rest of their son's life. we were all wondering would he testify and what would that look like? from being inside the courtroom our producer giving me the color, that could have been the nail in the coffin. you saw two sam bankman-fried on the stand. one that was happy to answer questioning from the defense and one who couldn't remember anything. an mit grad that couldn't provide answers to simple questions. so many legal experts that i talk to in these types of cases say it comes down to credibility. he had three witnesses, his inner circle, testifying against him. so the question for the jury became, who do you believe? sam bankman-fried or these three people who have plead guilty to fraud. i will close by saying this. this is the one year anniversary of when everything started. so november 2nd of last year was when an article came out that started rumblings of was there something sinister going on at ftx? a few days later they had filed for bankruptcy. one year later sam bankman-fried heard a verdict of guilty on that same day. back to you. >> you know, kelly, you talked about the impact that these charges will have on his life. talk to us about the impact sam bankman-fried had on the 2020 election. >> reporter: the point you bring up, rachel, is something the prosecution used to prove out their case of fraud. he was behind george soros the biggest democratic donor in the 2022 mid term election. he also donated over $5 million to president biden's campaign during the 2020 election. and he had been accused -- he was not charged in this case, of violating campaign finance laws. funneling money through his lieutenants who have both plead guilty. you know, it really made the jury believe what are you doing with customers' funds? in fact, there was one moment where he was talking and answering questions about donating to these political campaigns and he just felt like it was a good way to curry influence in washington and the world. certainly that was a line that stuck with the jury, i would imagine. >> i think the next step is figuring out what those politicians knew. it was pretty obvious this was dirty money, that there was something fishy about all of this, yet they all stood there with their hands out and took money before this election to help them win. kelly o'grady, thanks for joining us. great report. all right. hunter biden speaking out, and he wants you to feel sorry for him. in a piece written in usa today hunter writes i chose life over the slow strangled death grip of addiction. said his days involved bottles of vodka and as many hits on a crack pipe as possible. obviously, addiction is serious and, of course, we feel bad for all addicts. but hunter didn't just write a piece to tell us about his struggles. hunter wrote to complain. the president's son, who consented that he grew up with privilege and opportunity said, quote, my struggles and my mistakes have been fodder for a vile and disinformation campaign against joe biden an annihilation of my reputation through high pitched but fruitless congressional investigations. he blames fox news and the new york post for covering his corrupt overseas business dealing, the ones that made his family millions of dollars. what better day to complain about it than the day after james kumar releases this bombshell. >> $40,000 in laundered china money landed in joe biden's bank account in the form of a personal check. a chinese company associated with cefc wired $5 million to hudson wish three a joint venture established by hunter biden and an associate. then they sent $400,000 to an entity owned and controlled by hunter biden. next hunter biden wired $150,000 to a company owned by james and sara biden. sara biden then withdrew $50,000 in cash from the group. later the same day she deposited it into her and james biden's personal checking account. a few days later sara biden cut a check to joe biden for $40,000. >> china laundered 10% of the biden haul for the big guy. there's a check to prove it. so, sorry, hunter. we're not talking about you because you're an exhibitionist drug addict. we're talking about you because you and your father sold this country out to china. molly hemmingway is here. welcome to both of you ladies. love having you on. i'm going to start with you, molly. call me cynical but the day after this thing by komar proves 10% did go to the big guy. all of a sudden we get this weepy op ed by hunter biden. >> it is a really amazing claim made by hunter biden. i think he's trying to say he pedalled influence for his family and took money from corrupt entities across much of the world because he was an addict? that doesn't seem like the best defense, first of all. secondly, it has no reason why the rest of the family was in on the scheme. we learned 10% went to the big guy, joe biden from just one of these deals that hunter biden was involved in. i don't want to say the addiction has nothing to do with it because if hunter biden were a really high functioning person with excellent business skills, a very sober attitude on life, for some reason companies across the world wanted to pay him money, that would be a much better story for the entire biden family than the fact that this money did, in fact, go to someone who did not seem particularly stable or making good decisions. it speaks to the corruption of the biden family business and how it really was all about joe biden's influence and taking money because of who joe biden was and what position he had in the government. >> also speaks very poorly of joe biden himself. here was a dad that knew his son was addicted. he needed to be in rehab, away from temptation, yet they put him at the center of a scandal with tons of money and tons of intrigue and certainly an unstable situation for a person going through this addiction that he writes so vividly about in this op ed and in his book. what's your take on this? >> i really urge all of your viewers to read this op ed. it is just so absolutely appalling. the self-pity, the gaslighting, accusing fox news of talking about his addiction when all you have do is turn on fox news to see they covered the corruption that he was engaged in. he says again and again that in attacking him as an addict, you're attacking the rest of americans. we know we have this problem in america. 20 million americans have a substance abuse problem. i found that so disgusting because the people who are suffering from addiction in this country, the people dying deaths of despair from addiction and alcoholism and suicide are americans without a college degree who have a life expectancy ten year less than if you have a college degree. for this son of privilege to stand there and steal the valor and suffering of these people, who his own father was part of the administration, obama administration that sold out the futures of americans without a college degree. it is really truly appalling. >> sold out the country. now look at the situation we're in, the international global foreign policy that we're dealing with and we have a president who is potentially, likely, as this comer investigation moves forward, compromised by the chinese. it is scary stuff. this op ed is pathetic. thank you batya and molly. for years now, the left's been ranting and raving that republicans want to ban books. that's not the case. the right and parents just don't want sexually explicit books ending up in our kids classrooms and libraries. that's why democrats never want to talk about what's actually in these books. in hillsbrough county, florida, a school approved an extremely graphic book to be put in their high schools. even after parents rallied to try and keep it out of the library. one mom showed up at a school board meeting and shocked everyone. >> i'd like to talk about the blankets book review committee that happened at plant city. i would encourage people to step out unless you have small children. it includes -- fondling biting tasting oral copulation, stripping off clothes in heated passion, 22 images of the -- ten images of -- the book also contains crass talk like this. also did you feel up her -- it has images of -- and sexual assault of a child and more nudity, more male nudity. >> it didn't stop there. it turns out the book's graphic pictures were so inappropriate that a cop had to stop her. >> this is shameful and degrading. all seven members of the committee were also asked to look at this image. this is in the book and they all unanimously said this -- along with that 15 page -- okay. this is in children's libraries here in hillsbrough county approved by that committee. it's in multiple schools. there's ten images of that woman in that book. >> thank you. next speaker. no one is allowed to bring displays. am i right, mr. porter? >> this is a library book in your classroom. you can't show that here? >> thank you. next speaker. >> it's okay for the kids, but not for the grown-ups. that mom was julie gebard, who has been speaking out for the past three years about this. her daughter was asked to buy a book for english class in hillsborough that talks about incest and rape. the school board wouldn't listen to her concerns so julie ended up taking her kids out of the district. she's been going to school board meetings ever since to expose what's happening. that mom joins me now. julie, first of all, on behalf of all parents, i want to thank you for your perseverance. you took your kid out of the school but you never stopped going to the school board meetings. good for you. you found out because this book was assigned to your child and you were supposed to buy it for her. that's how you found out. so many kids are getting exposed to this stuff and their parents have no idea. totally under the radar. >> that's exactly right. i have taken up the mantle because i know there are so many parents who have no idea what's going on in the schools. the amount, sheer volume of books that i have discovered. i stopped making my list when i hit 350 book titles, which means there's tens of thousands of those books in hillsborough county that have that sexual content in them. i feel like it's a culture war that i'm willing to stay in the fight. >> amen to that. are parents waking up? do you feel the three years of work you put into this is paying off? >> i do think some parents are paying more attention now. i find a few more are coming to board meetings. we've organized a grass roots effort here in hillsborough county. there are like minded parents challenging these books and fighting alongside me and this effort. i'm grateful for that. >> it's shocking those school board members, i presume many are parents, too. they seem to not care at all. i don't know who they're protecting. it's not the kids. they can't unsee what they saw. again, julie, thank you very much. i'm sad you have to do this. i'm very heartened and proud of your work. >> thank you so much. i appreciate it. i appreciate you having me on the show. >> thank you. god bless you. how did we get to the point where parents have to beg schools to keep porn out of kids' libraries and classrooms? the director for the american library associations office for intellectual freedom laid out what their plan has been all along. to reframe sexual books as diverse so they can slip by these parents and get them into the hands of kids. >> ultimately we found that the thing that needs to happen most, needs to half before these bills are introduced is sustained messaging that reframes this issue that the takes you from the idea that these are inappropriate for minors or second wally inappropriate for minors. diverse materials and programming are about inclusion, fairness and protection of everybody's right to be themselves and their families reflected in the books in the public libraries. >> that woman is sick. so why are they trying so hard to sexualize our children? it's not surprising that it's coming from the american library association. dr. jill biden's favorite organization. its president a self-proclaimed marxist lesbian has said she wants to remake children's libraries based on notions of queerness. only someone who hates children would want to use literature and america's libraries to wage a war against childhood innocence chris ruffo joins me now. chris, what the heck is going on? >> a few things are going on. what they're doing is masking their ideological campaign in these bland words and euphemisms like fairness and inclusion. since the kwreupbing, it was always to abolish the nuclear family, abolish sexuality, abolish extensions of man and woman because they viewed them as impediments to the revolution. so the idea is that if you can train kids to abolish notions, what they call hetero pay trie patriarchy. they're using smut, pornography. they're using everything they can to dissolve the moral notions of children and their families just to play politics and just to advance the marxist dream. >> chris, i always tell anyone who asks me about this problem, just take your kids out. i will never put my kids in one of those schools. i send them to a classical catholic school because i want them to learn and i want to preserve their innocence and have teachers that care about things that are age appropriate for them. there's a lot of people who can't do that. they're fighting. what can they do? it just seems so sad and so hopeless sometimes. >> i mean, look. you have to do whatever you can to protect your kids, to educate your kids and transmit your values to your kids without interference by adults who have a political agenda. you have a couple options. move. find a better district, better community. better school. you can put them in a classical catholic school. or stay and fight. really all three options are viable. but staying and fighting is something you have to do tenaciously, intelligently and courageously. you have to say something very simple. pornography does not belong in public schools. get this trash out. never back down. never let them shame you. always fight for the good, the true and the beautiful. >> it is noble to stay and fight but boy i don't want to leave my kids in that school. takes a long time to get reform. i don't want to spend my thursday nights at school board meetings. i'd rather be message to all democrats out there. you better stay in line or the fbi is coming for you. just like for conservatives, you better stand in line. >> they did that for menendez, too. he didn't like iran policy and he paid. >> he opposed the iran deal and he had a federal prosecutor knocking down his door. >> joe said, don't mess with the bidens. let's get to the mayor. she's admitting, listen, there's gonna be crime, but we're gonna help you track your car. >> she wants a trophy. carjackings, almost 1,000 this year up 36% from last year which is really high. instead of putting a tag in the car to track the car, you should have police that chase the cars down or have a helicopter that tracks the car. if there's a car jacking, you can't have police chase the car. you can't have helicopters track it. the next best solution is an apple air pod so you can track the car. this is insanity. prosecutors, 70% of the cases that the police refer to the prosecutors, 70% aren't prosecuted. this is the extension of liberal policy where people, it's open season. steal a car, joy ride in the car and you won't be prosecuted, you won't go to jail. there's no consequence for you. that's why crime spikes in dc. >> thieves are smart. they're going to get in the car, find the device. maybe can hide it. i feel bad because people in dc, hard to feel bad for people voting for mayor bowser. >> you read the story about all these kids are dying. liberals think they're helping kids by not giving them punishments. but kids need to be protected from their friends. give them a break. instead they're going back on the streets and dying. >> there's not a lot of parental supervision. the problem is dynamic. >> i don't feel bad for the people in dc. they voted for these policies. they get car jacked robbed. murders have sky rocketed. if that's the kind of community you want to live in. i don't. but if they do, so be it. i feel bad for members of congress who have to come in. there's a ton of crime right around the capitol. a congressman from texas was carjacked. no one is immuned. >> it is our nation's capital. it belongs to us. it's embarrassing that that's the condition it is in. >> it is embarrassing. that's the case for law enforcement and criminal justice. >> it sure is. you can check out from the kitchen table. that's our podcast. we have three episodes a week. we're gonna fight this week something we're gonna talk to julie about later in the show, julie banderas which is the seat controversial. >> on airplanes. >> we have different opinions on that. you can check that out. thanks, shawn. how much does the salt cost? probably more than you think.
