David welcome to journal editorial report, im david asman in for paul gigot. First of all, with israel it is 10 p. M. Where just moments ago Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu promised to abillionish the evil abolish the evil of hamas and said the ongoing ground operation in gaza is the second stage of the war. Infantry and Armored Vehicles have moved in backed by massive strikes from the air and the sea including the bombing of hamas tunnels which is a key target in this campaign to crush the terror group once and for all following its brutal ea attack the on israel three weeks ago today. Lets go straight to southern israel where foxs Trey Yingst Is Standing by. Trey, its all yours. Reporter yeah, david, good afternoon. We are here along the israelgaza border. You can hear those thuds mt. Distance, both israeli artillery and tank units that are working at this hour hammering the northern part of the strip. Airstrikes targeted a number of different positions tonight, and we do know Israeli Forces are currently operating inside gaza. As we talk, you can hear the explosions in the distance. This is the most active its been since the war erupted 22 days ago. Tonight israeli Prime MinisterBenjamin Netanyahu addressing mt. Only his nation, but the entire world saying this is israels second war with of independence, adding we will win. He went on to the often the situation on the ground to talk about the situation on the ground and explained many people, including himself, will have to answer questions about that october 7th massacre, but the focus is on the forces currently operating merchandise gaza. Last night a Situational Assessment was held in tel aviv with the Prime Minister and his defense minister. Gallant spoke overnight saying this i completed a Situation Assessment last night. We have accomplished a pause in the war. We will continue to be strong and precise and hunt down every terrorist. Reporter now, david, the strikes inside gaza are getting more intense tonight. Once again the Israeli Military warned people in the northern part of gaza to evacuate south. Theyve been giving these warnings out for a few weeks now, dropping leaflets. Today they released a video message. Its important to note the people in gaza likely did not get it because of cell towers being down and having no internet connection. David trey, i just have to ask, the bombing that were hearing now, is that coming prosecute israeli side into the from the israeli side into gaza . Reporter yes, thatses all outgoing fire. And right now youre actually, you can see rockets being fired. The factions inside gaza are responding at this moment. Those are rockets coming off the northern part of the Gauze A Strip gaza strip being fired by a hamas. Were going to work to try and figure out where exactly theyre headed, but you just saw a number of them. Most of the explosions are actually israeli strikes, both artillery and airstrikes, but it does the appear theyre able to get rockets a off of the northern part of the strip. Youre watching all of this unfold at the moment, my producers going to tell me where those rockets are headed. They did not appear to be long range rockets, but certainly it gives you a sense of just how active this scene is, david, along the border. And those rockets are not long range, as i said, they are short range headed to the second city up from the northern border with the gaza strip. It is the remarkable that 32 the 2 days into 22 days into this conflict, theyve still maintained ability to fire rockets despite the air vieks and Artillery Units david also remarkable how well you report on all of this. Trey, please take care of yourself. Thank you so much. Appreciate president it. Joining me now is retired fourstar general and former cia director david petraeus. He commanded Coalition Forces in both iraq and afghanistan. General, good to see you. Thanks for being here. The idf, before we heard from Prime Minister netanyahu, we herald from idf chief of staff, and he said the following, he said this is a war with multiple stages. Today we move on to the next one. So is this, what were seeing today, the main incursion weve within waiting for . Been waiting for . I think it is. The test test its one of them. Its at least one of hem. They may launch another front to try to complicate the situation for hamas, but clearly there has been a decision made that hamas and its ally, islamic jihad, are exreamist armies. Extremist armies. They cannot be negotiatedded with, they have to be destroyed. Its a very substantial tax. In military terms it means to render the enemy incapable of accomplishing his mission without reconstitution. By the way, theyre going to have to make sure they cannot reconstitute in the Postconflict Phase as well with. But theyre going to have to go through the most challenging of urban areas that i can think of. We cleared lots of major cities during the fight to destroy alqaeda in iraq, which we did carry out but again, nothing like the challenges that you see here. The tunnel systems, the willingness of individuals to blow themselves up to take Israeli Soldiers with hem the, an enemy that doesnt wear uniforms, that uses civilians as human shields, has over 200 hostages that it likely will use in some capacity as well and is very, very capable. We saw the diabolically, Horrifically Creative Attack that resulted in the barbaric acts that have precipitated this particular if offensive. But this is going to be a very, very tough fight, and theyre going to have to clear every building, floor, room, cellar, tunnel and then retain it. You have to clear and hold an area before you move on to the next one. Its very sequential, its very methodical, and they have cleary begun that clearly begun that, establishing a foothold in the urban areas, trying to use their Armored Vehicleses as far as he can go before having to the Expose Infantrymen to the enemy. You can hear how significant a fight this is. David and how will their main mission of wiping out Hamas Conflict with another mission of saving the hostages . Very, very challenging and also conflict with trying to adhere to their concept of purity of arms which is their interpretation, very similar to ours, of the geneva convention, the laws of land warfare, trying to minimize loss of innocent civilian life, trying to limit damage to civilian infrastructure and to forth. These are not mutually exclusive, but they are very, very difficult. Theyre not completely compatible, and thats the reality of this kind of very tough urban fight. Having made the determination that they must destroy these extremist elements. I hope that well hear more over time as well9 about how they will add a more gaza administer gaza saw. Its pretty clear youre not going to see Palestinian Authority members riding in the backs of israeli tanks to do that. I think that israel will inevitably have to the carry that out to administer the distribution of humanitarian assistance, Restore Basic services and so forth. And i think laying out a future for what the life for the Palestinian People can be in gaza without hamas would be advisable as well. Something we sought to do for the sunni arabs when we sought to slip them away there from alqaeda. David but getting back to the whats happening right now, will u. S. Forces which, of course, are offshore many fairly large numbers considering how much action there is going on there, will they be used in any way to back up the idf forces . I dont think so, and i dont think that the Israeli Defense forces want us to do that either. The only conceivable application might be if some of the u. S. Citizen hostages were identified in a situation where we could use special Operations Forces to rescue them. But, again, i think israelis and they have stated this this is their fight. They intend to the prosecute it themselves. The different obviously if were engaged, just as was the can case in iraq where iranians supported shia militia carried out over a dozen drone and Rocket Attacks on various bases in iraq and also syria, eastern and northeastern syria with, and we carried out target targeted operations against iraniansupported she what a Militia Sites in eastern david forgive me, but how effective do you think that was . Our jet strikes against the iranbacked forces in syria . You dont want to be the on the x if we are going after a target like that. They can be very effective. It sends a message. Obviously, what were trying to do is contain that to deferer the the deter any future action, we may have to even expand what it is that we are doing. I dont think iran wants to except into a direct fight with the United States, but the possibility of regionalization of this war is very real. As you know, hezbollah in Southern Lebanon and other huge iraniansupported militia element, has over 150,000 rockets and missiles. Some of those have considerable range and act rahs rassi. They could conceivably overwhelm the air and missile defenses of israel. But if they do, thats an act of suicide on their part, because israels going to the hammer them even worse than in 2006, the last time they had a war with israel. Reassessed, in fact, the extent of the damage several times subsequently. In fact, when i was the regional combatant commander, u. S. Central command and then later when i was the director of the cia. David general david petraeus, thank you very much on this very significant day the in the war. Thank you for being here, appreciate it. When we come back, calls for the United Nations secretarygeneral to resign following his comments about the hamas attacks. N. Secretarygeneral Antonio Gutierrez renewed his call earlier today the for a humanitarian ceasefire as israel expands its offensive in gaza. Israel is calling on gutierrez to resign following these comments at an a Emergency Meeting of the u. N. Security council week. Listen. It is important to the also recognize the effects by hamas did not happen in a vacuum. The Palestinian People have been subjected to 56 years of suffocating occupation. They have seen their land steadily devolved by settlements and plagued by violence. Their economy is stifled, their people displaced and their homes demolished. Their hopes for a political solution to that plight have been van isishing. David lets bring in Wall Street Journal columnists dan henninger, kim strassel and bill mcgurn. Great to see you all. Dan, it was the u. N. That created israel, or modern israel, in 1947. And suddenly they decide its an Evil Occupier. When did they decide that their own creation was an Evil Occupier . Yeah, well, they did that a long time ago. It was probably all downhill at the United Nations after 1948. I mean, theres been no upside. We cant discount what somebody like secretarygeneral gutierrez says, what he called for there was a a humanitarian the ceasefire. And given what we have seen in the past 24 hours, the fact that israel is clearly going into gaza, think about it. The idea of a ceasefire is completely preposterous. A ceasefire means hamas fired on october 7th. Theyre now inside gaza, the suggestion is that israel is somehow supposed to stand back or stand down . That would mean accepting a hamas victory which they clearly cannot do despite the fact that there are protests in london, there are protest ts in Grand Central station the here overnight. Its clear that the israelis are not stepping back. And i think the burden now is going on the largely on the Biden Administration to stand with israel and try to resist these kind of conventional calls for a ceasefire. David but, bill, the idea hat the israelis are responsible for civilian deaths, they announce theyre coming, they announce the times when the palestinians who are not affiliated with hamas should get out. Of course, they dont let them get out, and egypt egypt is not taking them in, nor is jordan, by the way, which is basically a palestinian state. But the fact is i think and i know you do as well that that maas has more interest in palestinian deaths in gaza than israel does. Yes. I think you put your finger on it. The way i look at it, the first prong of the barbarity by hamas was the october 7th attacks. But its the second part now just as israel has reached a second stage, so has hamas. And they knew that israel would have to come in after a them, right . So they wanted to the second stage is craving palestinian deaths so they can use in messaging the war. Yes, israel has killed babies too like us. You cant say were ors worse. And you look at things you mentioned, theyve done nothing to help hamas has done nothing to help palestinians survive this. No Bomb Shelters for civilians, you know . David right. The leaders are down in the tunnel. Theyre well stock thed with food and fuel. They cut off the exits to egypt, for example. They dont want anyone there there. And they locate their arms and some of their headquarters under, like, hospitals and schools. So their goal is to maximize civilian deaths among palestinians because its good in the propaganda war. Its not good for israel. David by the way, a lo of their arms and supplies they have in these tunnels, probably came from us, or u. N. Was the interlock you are the or betwee. Kim, the u. N. Secretarygeneral made his comments in doha which, of course, is have to where a lot of hamas leaders hang out in their high priced hotels eating good fact. In fact, maybe right now gutierrez is having dinner with some of these people Smoking Cigars and so forth. I mean, he demands that there be a pause, but isnt that precisely and he also says what im doing, my main concern so to save the hostages. Isnt that precisely why hamas took those 200 hostages, because they wanted to the use them as a Bargaining Chips . Yeah. I mean, gutierrez is just wrong on so many levelings. You know, first of all, as bill just rightly said, tries to suggest that palestinian deaths are, is israels responsibility. Completely untrue. You also have him essentially saying now we must have a ceasefire. Basically what hes doing is offering an apology for hamas terrorists, allowing them to engage in this genocide and then denying israel the right to engage in selfdefense, a right that i would note every other free country is is allowed. And, yes, as he hangs out in doha, yes, as he also incorrectly misinterprets why gaza and why the palestinians and hamas took those hostages in the first place, to use as a bargaining chip. That is the brutal, ugly reality. And thats why theyve been letting one go here or there, in part because theyre trying to get a little bit of goodwill here or there for those aid trucks that have been coming through. But they intend to hold on to these people as a way to forestall and use public pressure to convince israel to stand down. We cannot let that happen. David dan, we only have 20 the seconds, but do you see any difference between the sec secretarygeneral and ill hand omar and the other defenders of hamas . I do see one big difference, and that is ill hand o hard is a democrat. And i think the reality of what she and the squad are saying and the fact these demonstrations, younger democrats are propalestinian, this is going to be a growing political problem for the Democratic Party because they do not want to be associated with antisemitism. And i think that is beginning to build, and its something theyre going to have to wrestle with in the future. David all right. David some stunning news out of the 2024 campaign where just moments ago in las vegas former Vice President mike pence announced that he is suspending his president ial bid saying it is not his time. Were back with our panel now. Kim, i didnt expect this. You know the first thing that came to me mind was when are we going to the hear the same from President Biden . [laughter] yeah, i wouldnt hold to your breath on that just yet, david. David okay. Look, i can understand why this happened. And, by the way, give Mike Penca Absolute Policy Force during the trump years. A lot of the good policy that a came out was because of him. I think he has struggled a little bit to find his place here, especially after january 6th. He just got piled on by trump supporters. Its the been hard for him to resteady himself. Hes a very strong reagan conservative, but hes just not found his notch here. And, yes, i think this is a very important moment because we have been waiting to see if this field narrows. Were going into the third debate in a couple of weeks, people are struggling to get on that debate site, and mike pence bowed to that reality. The bigger question is whether or not we now see a couple of other individuals like a tim scott, a doug burgum follow suit and exit the race. David can do you think thats going to happen, bill . I think so because most of them are under 5 , right . And i think some of them like Chris Christie are hoping for a surprise, a shock in new hampshire, but if it doesnt come, i dont know that theyll have the wherewithal to extende. I think mike pence, as kim mentioned, was a Abegan Conservative a reagan key responsible for a lot of trumps credibility when he was running among doubtful republicans. He did yeomans service, and a lot of the good things that happened, happened with his support. Unfortunately, the antitrump never liked him because hes part of the david right. Trump presidency, and the trump people dont like him because of january 6th. David right, right. So he couldnt win. David caught in a wedge. Yeah, and he didnt ever concern. And one quick point. When the republican primary candidates began, the legal assault on donald trump was just beginning. We went through a series of indictments. And the reality, no one could have predicted that as those indictments grew, republican support for donald trump would grow. And we know that its up there over 50 , but there was really no way that a lot of candidates like mike pence, maybe tim scott could have competed with that. That is the reality in the republican primary contest right now. David lets witch from the president ial to whats happening in the house. It looks like theres some semblance of order now. We have a speaker of the house of representatives, kim, and hes going to be the tested pretty soon. I want to go to kim on this one because you wrote about it, that theres this 106 billion supplement, a package of spending for israel, for ukraine and for the border, although some people question whether it would really secure the border. But then theres also this, a separate demand for 56 billion in something called emergency spending. 9 youve looked into this. Theres not a lot of emergency in that spending, is there, or kim . [laughter] no. This is really sad. This is a Biden Administration letting no crisis to to waste including whats going on in israel in the moment. So it sends along this foreign aid supplemental request and then follows it up with this or horrific blowout of domestic spending which is classifying as emergencies, 16 billion in there, david, for more Childcare Spending even though we had the pandemic money, was supposed to be a onetime deal, now they want to extend it. 6 billion to subsidize peoples highspeed internet, basically subsidizing their netflix obsessions. [laughter] i hope its going to be dead on arrival and, in fact, johnson and House Republicans should be using this at the moment to relaunch the Spending Fight and to talk about priorities to explain why these ones do not count and why if we are going to put some money into overseas National Security for us, which we should do, there has to be give on the biden side, on domestic policy side. They have to be cutting more on the other side of the ledger. David yeah. And talk about National Security, dan, our own border has become a very big part of National Security particularly as you see people from iran getting through, people, all sorts of people on the terrorist watch list. This socalled Border Security plan that biden has as a part of his 106 billion has, doesnt have a lot to do with securing the border. Yeah, exactly right. David its all about sending more migrants to the other state thes from the president border. I mean, o complete contradicn terms. It has nothing to do with security. The biden white houses policy is to simply allow as many people across thely coyo grand river as Rio Grande River as want to come. Thats the policy of the democratic left. And what he has proposed here is simply to the hire more people to process the the asylum seekers. It has nothing to do with controlling the flow of these people but, of course, we know in cities like new york there are simply they are simply overwhelmed. The mayor just a couple days ago proposed giving people an individual tent, migrants, to sleep on the streets. David a maybe similar to whats happening in san francisco. Final point, Will Speaker Johnson be able to stand up and create a standalone supplemental just for israel . Israel should be our focus right now. Well, these are all the delawares. The test was getting elected, you know, getting consensus on that. And as soon as it comes to legislation, can he do it. We dont know yet. Are the same people going to wreck any bill they dont agree with . You know, a month from now are they going to pull him down because they didnt like a bill . I think they have to get realistic about what they can get from the Biden Administration and try to to concentrate on that. But i wouldnt want the job. David theyd yeah. As a ive said, its like being the fifthth wife of henry viii. [laughter] david yeah, yeah, okay. Well talk more about that coming up. When we come back though, were going live to Northern Israel where clashes with iranbacked hezbollah militants continue. David Israeli Forces striking a number of hezbollah positions in Southern Lebanon today as the iranianbacked terror group steps up missile and Rocket Attacks and clashes continue on the israelilebanese border. Chief International CorrespondentSteve Harrigan is live in Northern Israel with the very latest. Steve. Reporter david, there were multiple attacks by hezbollah about 2 miles behind me here from lebanon into Northern Israel. Those attacks set off alarms in multiple locations in Northern Israel and drew a response from the Israeli Military. Hezbollah fired rockets into an irk df position in the golan heights, they also fired a surface to air missile trying to bring down an Israeli Military krone. In response, israel intercepted that that missile and launched Artillery Strikes at the place where that missile was launched there from. They also destroyed several what they call terror cell cans, these are hezbollah fighters who were firing antitank missiles into israel. So far in three weeks of sort of lowlevel, contained fighting between hezbollah and israel, 47 hezbollah fighters have been killed, 6 Israeli Soldiers, and all across the north as many as 42 communities have been evacuated here, people leaving for fear of intense fighting which could if be ahead. David, back to you. David steve, thank you very much for that. Lets bring. In former deputy National Security adviser victoria coats, Vice President of National Security and Foreign Policy at the her heritage foundation. Victoria, thanks for being here. Its so clear, if its not clear enough about hamas, its absolutely clear that everything, just about everything that hezbollah does is ordered directly from iran. Is it not . Oh, absolutely, david. Good to be with you a ooh. I mean, theyre a whollyowned subsidiary of tehran. Tehran provides at least 90 if not higher percent of their funding, same thing for hamas. They simply cease to exist without iran, so the attempts to draw a distinction between them and their activities, between them, the Terrorist Groups and iran, are just disingenuous. David so command and control for this entire operation should be seen as a one emanating from tehran, no . I think anything else would just be misleading because its command and its control and its funding and its equipping. Hamas and hezbollah cant coanything of these things on their do any of these things on their own. The only way hay do it is if theyre getting support from tehran david so why is this administration, the Biden Administration, so reluctant to admit that . Well, it seems to me theyre just determined to to get back into some version of a nuclear deal which means they have to keep the iranians in vienna, keep lines of communication open, and i think iranians have laid down their red lines and told the administration whats going to make them walk, and the administration is acting very carefully for that reason. David could Robert Malley, Robert Malley for those who dont know is the former u. S. Special envoy to iran. He was dismissed on various suspicions of sharing Classified Information with his iranian counterparts. Could he perhaps have anything to do with policy of trying to keep iran out of it . Oh, i think he absolutely does. He was their top, the Biden Administrations top diplomat on iran. We mow from some reporting over the last couple of months that mr. Malley was, had his staff infiltrated by the socalled Iran Experts Initiative which were folks who were being in direct contact with tehran, iranianamericans, influencers, people who wrote opeds and that they were informing his analysis. So you basically have Tehran Informing The Top American diplomat on iran. And its not surprising that the administration thinks the iranians are a lot nicer than they actually are. But i think, you know, after the events of october 7th, we can have no illusions, especially given that 500 of these hamas fighters were trained in iran. So they learned all their vicious techniques from the iranians. And the motion, as i said, that theres a distinction between them is misleading to the american people. David besides their vicious techniques which, of course, was the buttal a massacre of israelis, they had some sophisticated techniques like going after, targeting with special drones those watch towers over wire that they managed to not do dismantle, but to put out of operation with these explosive drones. Thats the kind of information that one might suspect they got the from some kind of leaks, maybe perhaps from mr. Malley . Who knows, right . Well, and important to remember i dont think malleys been pyre thed. I think hes still on unpaid leave from the State Department david yes. With his Security Clearance suspended. But we were told in the beginning of investigation in june that, oh, this will be cleared up in weeks. So now hes teaching at princeton of all places, so if anybody has children at prince topps, you might want to check what classes theyre taking. But, yeah, the fact that theyre playing Fast And Loose with Classified Information shows you the administration cares more about this deal than the security of hearn people. David and, of course, a lot of this stems from you have also, besides being a National Security expert, you also worked with the Department Of Energy from saudi arabia, so you had this wonderful dual purpose for us. The oil sales, iranian oil sales slowed to a rick thering under the trump add trickle under the Trump Administration because they really enforced sanctions that were let up when mr. Malley was the envoy to iran. Now theyre making Tens Of Billions more. Im just wondering to what extent that is being proposed to change it all, or are we going to continue with that status quo . Apparently, were going to continue with that status quo. The administration is pretty addicted to the 3 million plus barrels a today the iranians are putting on the market. They need that product to keep Domestic Energy prices in check. If if you take it off the market and you dont work with saudi arabia and you dont put the conditions in place to ratchet up production here at home, youre going to have a price spike, and thats bad for them. So since hay tonight want to work with the saudis, they dont want more u. S. Production, they have to keep this oil on the market even though you can draw a direct line between increase in iranian revenues and the planning for the october 7th attacks. David you know, jonathan ratcliffe, former director of national intel, said to Maria Bartiromo last sunday on her show that they had intercepts of iranians talking to hamas and hezbollah saying, sorry, guys, we dont have much money because were strapped. This was during the Trump Administration because they werent getting the oil revenue theyre getting now. Do you know if those intercepts existed and were passed on to the Biden Administration . Oh, they were reported in the thy times. And we know the administration reads that, so they really dont have an excuse if they werent reading intel. And, absolutely, the New York Times report that had a hezbollah guy saying the golden days are gone, and hale never come again because they thought the sanctions would stay on and the money would be cut off. Well, fortunately for hezbollah, the golden days came back in the in the Biden Administration. And this is what weve gotten. David victoria coats, great to have you on. Thank you so much, appreciate it. Coming up still ahead, a blowout Third Quarter gdp as the u. S. Economy continues to defy expectations. Why then are americans so down on bidenomics . But the latest Real Clear Politics poll average shows almost 60 of voters disapprove of the way he is handling the economy. Were back with our panel. Dan, the basics is what americans really care about. I mean, can hay afford the they aboard to buy all the groceries they could afford two years ago . Can they get a loan for a new car or, god forbid, a house in this environment . And the answer, unfortunately, to those questions is, no. And thats why most americans peel the economys in the tank. Yeah, thats a big part of it, david. And i think what youre basically describing is the fact that most americans live in what we would call the real economy, okay . Which i think so opposed to joe bidens conception of the economy which is an abstraction that the federal government can somehow manipulate. And the way theyve been trying to manipulate it first was with the direct payments during the pandemic and now with the incredible amount of subsidies to to green industries. And the idea is that there will be, as they say, good paying jobs in wind and solar. Just look at the uaw strike, for instance. That in large part has been over electric vehicles displacing david right. Automakers jobs. And i think a lot of people live out there in the real private economy understand like say you were in the oil try, toeses sill fuel extraction. Fossil fuel extraction. You have a good paying job right now, and the Biden Administration is trying to switch it into Something Different that people have really big doubts about. David i like your expression, the real world. We keep hearing these promises. It is strikingly similar to what we heard bay way back in 2010 when biden was Vice President. Remember his Recovery Summer . He said were going to create all these new green jobs, 500,000 a month in that summer, they ended up that summer with a deficit of jobs, by the way. Now, we have this nice sur miss of jobs. Thats kind of buffering any bad effects to the economy, but its still not making americans peel better. No, dans absolutely right. I know people, young people looking for a house. But the Interest Rates are so high compared i have a much lower rate because my mortgage is, like, 15 years old. But its really depressing for those people. If you want to retire and sell your house, youre going to buy another house with these high rates . So the Biden Administration has a habit of telling people everythings fine. Remember for a long time inflation really didnt exist or was going to be temporary. And, yes, now its down from the peak of 9 , but its still, like, more than with two times as high as when joe biden came in. So people feel that. And then they read these articles saying joe biden gives no credit for bringing inflation down. I mean, he was the one that boosted it. David yeah. And the attitude in so many articles is that people are stupid. They dont know that the Biden Administration is really doing a good job, that bidenomics is a wild success, and they foolishly value their own judgments over whats going on in their lives. Its incredible. David you do get a kind of arrogance. And, kim, i dont want to the focus just on the numbers, but we have a couple of others. Biden is now, has an Approval Rating of just 37. Thats his Approval Rating. Thats an alltime low or at least ties an alltime low for him. But the one that stuck out in my mind was the crash that occurred among democrats. An 11 drop of support for biden among democrats, hes down the 75 now of democrats. Thats huge. Yeah, its huge, and it could be coming from a couple of different things. I think a lot of it may have to do with, dan rightfully talking about the real economy. And ill use a word bill used, the foolishness of the Biden Administration embracing bidenomics. Because for most people that in the real economy, they consider that a bad thing. Its not the thing thats working for them, its bad. And democrats are in that real economy as well. I think the other thing thats just more concerning because it takes us backing to israel is that theres a lot of suggestion that that crop theoff may have come dropoff may have come from progressives over the last three weeks in particular who obviously have been running away are from israel and kiss like the president s position dislike the president s position in backing israel, and that makes me concerned because this president tends to respond to progressive demands way too often. So this is going to be a test the for him, if he stands strong. But, yeah, there are a lot of issues. If i were running the Biden Campaign reelect, i would be terrified at the moment. [laughter] david well, i think the chance of that happening is not to too good. Lucky me. David but, dan, theres the question with, we heard about the progressives dont like his proisrael side, there are a lot of jewish democrats who are very upset not necessarily directly at biden, but at the Democratic Party this in general because they see a lot of what they thought were liberal friends turning radical, antiisrael and in some cases antisemitic. Thats not helping democrats in general. And these jewish democrats may start to think of voting republican. Yeah k. And thats what makes the political mix Going Forward so fascinating and is really hard to predict, because youre right that some of these disaffected jewish, democratic Jewish Voters may be deciding they just cant go with the Democratic Party. The democrats argument, on the other hand, is they say donald trump or is the nominee, that inagains in the Suburbs Cannot vote for donald trump. And how that is all going to make out is really difficult to predict and, you know, this hamasisraeli war was something no one obviously saw coming and has completely upset the president ial campaign right now with mike pence, of course, just dropping out. David big news. Well, we have to take one more break. When we come back, hits and misses of the week. Time now for our hits and misses of the week. Kim, first to you pick rex a mist of the Department Of Justice on the news it was spying on Congressional Congresl investigators secretly seizing their emails and their other communications. Even as those investigators were attempting to get to the bottom and conduct oversight of the fbi disastrous Crossfire Hurricane Investigation we already know the Russia Collision Investigation was a disaster relying on poor sources missing the fisa court. We find out is congress to try to get to the bottom of it d. O. J. Was snooping on them trying to get them to understand. Spying on a separate and equal branch of government is a huge constitutional issue needed the bottom and how wide it went. Flexibility. Another problem with House Republicans.
