Doctor saphier, there are a lot of people in the medical community suggesting this might work, is it worthy of testing in the military . Since then we have normal research on the use of psychedelics but with the research we do have, it showed promise when it comes to treating ptsd. Tbi as well as stroke and other things. When we talk about the devastating this specifically in our military, ptsd, when you look at standard treatment, ssri psychotherapy, less than 40 seek full permission. Thats not where we want to be when we try to Treat Service members. The limited studies we do have, psychedelics different than ssri and they have shown great benefit over the 5 of people seeing a benefit. This is not about recreational use, its not about you give a pill bottle to these veterans and they do it on their own. They do it in controlled situations in collaboration with psychotherapy and there is huge promise. It needs to be heavily regulated because veterans require access to quality healthcare and i dont want to see a penny of this go to waste. Theres a whole array of treatments coming out that utilize the same psychedelics but they are treated differently, done in a different setting, more a medical setting and medicinal. We are not taking people to the mountains saying theres some mushrooms, go crazy. There is a method to how its done and with all suicides weve been seeing especially the rise in suicide with veterans, we have to do everything. That i do believe and i think Congressman Crenshaw is right. We made a promise to them. They gave everything for us and we made a promise to them we would do the same and we need to. Obviously we know people with certain disabilities, visual disabilities, Hearing Disabilities and others, service dogs have done tremendous things for them should has it gone too far . My husband was blinded in afghanistan and he will say on completely blind, im just completely blind so when im not with him, he needs danny and you can see danny with him in this picture and danny is amazing. We give him a bath before he gets on a plane but ive got A Bone To Pick with joe rogan and there is danny as a puppy. It takes two years to train these dogs to get them to where they can be with the family. Shes not a service dog, i think they popped up my little sheep who robbed our ribs of the dinner table. Thats a dog you do not want to take on a plane but these dogs take two years to train before they give them there she is. Before you take two years to train them and bring them to the veteran or somebody who is legally blind and they are the eyes for that person, service dog and it is frustrating when people have dogs and they are not really meant for an Actual Service and they are just bringing them into restaurants and it gives every dog in that name. Thats what joe rogan was talking about. An Emotional Support Animal, theres no certification for that. As a matter of fact, there is no certification for any of his dog the government hands out license says this dog is certified to be a dog of service, emotional support so there are a dozen or more organizations out there, some rescue dogs and some take dogs in service and turn them into emotional support dogs, no standard across the country and if a dog is command train, is declared emotional support and you feel you are protected to take it anywhere. I see veterans over and over, they have symptoms of ptsd or depression and the work it takes to get to the root cause and maybe get to a better place like our Pharmaceutical Companies do, goodwill people with these organizations want to treat the symptoms and a service dog so you dont get upset. Programs with thats come through in the dogs becomes debilitating to come to the program and the responsibly of taking care of the dog and adds to the stress and anxiety and too many people are embracing the idea of having an emotional support dog without doing the Research Understanding pros and cons and who actually needs one could use one or benefit from want and who it makes their life worse.
