Jonathan unlike the hurricanes that hawaii is what used to, this externally powerful fire fled up with most flared up little warning and it quickly burned through dry brush and trees and into the wooden homes and stores that make up a majority of the buildings in lahaina. Nobody was prepared for this. Local people have lost everything. They lost their house. They lost their animals and it is devastating.
