I dont believe in the impeachment process because it was signed 50 hours without a lawyer and not one witness called. It is not exactly the model due process you want any president whether you like him or not. But with having said that, liz cheney is an invaluable member of the Republican Party. No, i dont want her to go anywhere. I think she should stay in leadership in my view because her voice is important for the Republican Party. She is one of the leading experts on National Security of the entire party. A role model for conservative women. She is conservative across the board. So i think liz cheney is a valuable member of the Republican Party. And i disagree with her impeachment. Sandra you, sir, heading to the Impeachment Trial for President Trump next week. I would ask you as your Party Continues to go down that road with the democrats going down that road and your party has to respond, what is the state of the Republican Party at this moment, senator . I think Republican Party will be very united around the idea that impeaching a president who lives in florida who is out of office is unconstitutional and the constitution says the Chief Justice will preside over impeachments involving the president. We dont have the Chief Justice and the senate, and Patrick Leahy tells you a lot and the founders intended when it came to president ial impeachment, not judges but the highest form of impeachment a president that it would be done by a neutral person, the Chief Justice of the United States. Nobody come i think ever impatient a post president ial impeachment. It will open a pandoras box for the presidency. I think there will be close to 47 or 48 votes for the idea that this is an unconstitutional exercise, but not enough to stop the case. Here is the question. Two, theyre doing this and creating a potential danger here in arizona is contrary to federal law. Federal law says they shall remove these individuals. By pausing this, youre having the potential for people that have been accused of crimes, charged with crimes, people that havent been tested for covid19 are just being released into our commun communities. John so lets go into this detail of the memorandum of understanding. It went into effect january 8 and requires dhs to among other things dhs is also obligated to provide 180 days written notice.
