Fourth COVID-19 Delta variant-related death reported in Washoe County
A fourth COVID-19 Delta variant-related death was reported Thursday in Washoe County.
The man was in his 30s with no underlying health conditions and had not been vaccinated for COVID-19, according to the COVID-19 Regional Information Center.
Since July 1, there have been four Delta variant-related deaths reported in Washoe County. None of the deceased had received the COVID-19 vaccine.
A total of 218 Delta variant cases have been reported in Washoe County, up 100 from last week. Of those cases, 19 people have been hospitalized; 17 of those cases were not vaccinated. A total of 66 Delta cases are still active and yet to recover.
