Four candidates in race for Fort Lauderdale District 1 seat

The victor will be sworn in on Nov. 15, one week after the election. Just two weeks later, on Dec. 1, their annual commission salary will jump from $73,400 to $82,100, with another $9,000 a year to cover expenses.
