Fortis Healthcare has signed definitive agreements with Kauvery Group of Hospitals for the sale of its hospital business operations in Vadapalani, Chennai, for Rs.152 crore ($20.4 million). The deal will be an all-cash transaction and is expected to conclude by the end of July 2023. The divestment enables Fortis to continue its portfolio rationalisation plan and to focus on deepening its presence in select clusters.
