Fort McMurray is continuing to see a drop in active COVID-19 cases.
Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced on Monday 362 new cases, along with an additional 409 which weren’t updated over the past month and a half due to a technical issue, across the province.
This raises the provincial total to 121,535 with 9,337 currently active. There are also 637 Albertans in the hospital for the virus, 113 of which are in ICUs.
Locally, Fort McMurray added seven new cases and 19 additional recoveries which lowers the active total to 124. One of these individuals who recently contracted the virus has ties to Composite High School.
