Residents of the Knightsbridge Apartments, a five-story building that sits at 2365 Hudson Terrace lost everything in the fire, Mayor Mark Sokolich said.
In response, the community has stepped up with donations that are still being collected along with offers from other apartment co-ops and tenants in town reaching out offering to waive fees.
"The response has been unbelievable, just good heartfelt offers," Sokolich said noting that churches, synagogues and other public agencies have also reached out to the town to find out how they can help.

A GoFundMe page was created after there was a demand for electronic donations.
