Fort Frances commemorates Dianna Boileau, a trailbreaker for gender-affirming surgery in Canada

Fort Frances is commemorating Dianna Boileau, a transgender woman who was the first Canadian to receive gender affirming surgeries in 1969 and in April 1970 and her doctor  who provided counsel to Boileau and her family when she was young and  supported her transition.
