A sacked Western Power employee has been fined $10,000 for giving a friend "a significant competitive advantage" by corruptly providing him with quotes for work from rival companies.

Rodney George Pearson, 59, pleaded guilty to two corruption charges arising from his work as the vehicle fleet co-ordinator at Western Power in 2018.
He sent his friend, who had a vehicle body building company, three emails detailing quotes that Western Power had received from the two other companies.
